An interesting collection of short stories, some of which I enjoyed much more than others. Lurie has a concise, blunt way with the dialogue; short exchanges that capture people and moments without much explanation. You simply drop into the lives and conversations of people you never really get to know. Maybe you understand something about their lives, or maybe you’re left imagining what could have been.
