Sue Moorcroft is a Sunday Times bestselling author and has held the coveted #1 spot in the Amazon Kindle chart. She's won the Goldsboro Books Contemporary Romantic Novel Award, the Readers Best Romantic Read Award, two HOLT medallions and the Katie Fforde Bursary. She writes contemporary fiction of life and love.
She also writes short stories, serials, articles, columns, courses and writing 'how to'.
An army child, Sue was born in Germany then lived in Cyprus, Malta and the UK. She's worked in a bank, as a bookkeeper (probably a mistake), as a copytaker for Motor Cycle News and for a typesetter, but is pleased to have wriggled out of all 'proper jobs'.
I've just completed the four book series set in Middledip. I loved the first three books but the fourth was a bit of a let down..just by the quality of writing alone, though. All of the stories were great with lots of believable characters to love and root for, it was just that the last book, 'Is This Love?' had far too much unnecessary context written into it compared to the rest of the books. Hence the 4 stars.
These are four stand alone books based on the same village. A few characters have tenuous links across the books but otherwise the stories are not connected. Each book is enjoyable and well written, so worth a read
The previous three books in the series had a link with characters in each of them. The fourth only had the village as it's link. The story itself was ,l felt far fetched ,with nothing about any of the characters for a reader to connect to.
I loved these books, the first three were fabulous, it took me a while to get into the fourth but it turned into a very enjoyable read. Worth downloading onto your kindle for summer holiday reading.
