While investigating the death of his own brother, Secret Service agent Clay Rodgers, wracked by guilt for seducing his brother's young girlfriend, attempts to link the murder to a Vietnamese shrimper.
Over-long and twisted plot turns make this a less than enjoyable read. What was interesting is to read a book based in the area in which I grew up. The Mississippi Coast. Here in 2026, several of the landmarks mentioned in the book no longer exist due to Hurricane Katrina's devastation. This is one book, that if it had been shortened by around 75-100 pages, it'd have been a much nicer reading experience.
