I first read this 40 years ago nand came across it in a drawer. I re-read it and it brought back memories of Jasper Carrott's TV appearances but I had forgotten some of the TV programmes he mentions in this book. The book itself is very short with plenty of white space and double paged illustrations. The humour is tremendous and you can hear the man how he would deliver his anecdotes on stage. One for people of a certain age to reminisce over.
The very first comedy show I listened to was Jasper Carrott. It was hilarious and opened up stand up comedy for me. This was a funny book, but very much of its time. It's rather politically incorrect and would not stand well with a lot of audiences today, but for those who grew up on Carrott's humour, it's a fun read.
