A native New Yorker, Chris Keniston was on her way to Australia when she fell in love with North Texas. Little did she know the balmy seventy-degree October days would turn into fry-an-egg-on-the-sidewalk heat in August!

Twenty years later, she started scribbling short stories about her favorite TV shows, giving them lives more to her liking - and the elusive happy ending. Not long after, a dear friend dragged her to a local writers’ meeting. One of several Baron grandchildren, he likes being near family and the ranch that started it all. Chasing a great script and the starlet who owns it, makes him consider setting up a big studio near the home ranch. Finding an old, abandoned, ranch is just what Craig is looking for,
Environmentalist Kate Donovan was not looking for another endangered species on a road trip, but that owl looked out of place. They were protected and not supposed to be seen west of Louisiana! “Follow that bird” she told friend Joan. Craig literally stumbles over Kate when checking out the barn on his new Studio Property. Seems they recognize one another from college years gone by. They saw and liked each other from afar then. Now the attraction is too hot for either one. Just One Take by Chris Keniston is the fourth book in a series called Billionaire Barons of Texas. The premise of all the books follows a family who have money, power and influence. The book's main character is Craig Baron. He is a famous movie producer who is just exhausted flying from set to set. He always comes home to the ranch and would love to have a place to produce movies closer.

Kate Donovan is an environmentalist. She is always working on saving the environment for the animals, especially endangered animals. When an old, abandoned, ranch comes up for sale, Craig jumps on the chance of being able to make a movie studio closer. The only problem is it is the place where an endangered owl has taken up residence and Kate is determined to save the birds. Two strong willed people both fighting for what is right; including each other.

I enjoyed the banter between them. I loved how Craig literally tripped over her in his quest. Chris Keniston has written another fabulous book about the Barons! Just One Take just takes one chapter to bring you into the story!

Just One Take is another sweet, wonderful romance by the amazing Chris Keniston! Craig Baron's production company is on new enough legs that the perfect production could make the difference between up-and-coming and renowned, and he has that script in his sights. The only problem is that the actress who owns the rights insists that it be produced Texas. While that idea is a dream for Craig, it may be a bigger financial commitment than even one of the Baron's can handle until his cousin finds the perfect property on Baron land. Land that an unforgettable woman is fighting to protect for an owl and a bat, and there is no way that a movie production and a nesting owl can coexist. Craig would love to support the environment and give Kate what she wants but he just can't afford to pass up this movie. A beautiful romance with heart. Just what I look for in a romance novel.

This series hits the mark from beginning to end with the loving Baron's of Texas.

Craig and Kate vaguely knew of each other from a mutual college class several years ago and had a mutual attraction they never followed through with. Now the two are thrown together as Craig Baron proceeds with the purchase of a run down and abandoned ranch he can turn into a film site and environmentalist Kate Donovan discovers an endangered owl has nested in the rafters of the barn.

This was such a sweet and romantic love story. I loved how both Craig and Kate wanted to protect the other while still trying to do what was needed and right for their own desires and needs.

This was a wonderful book, perfect in this series. I loved how Ms. Keniston knew so much about the passions of her main characters. I learned so much about filming and environmentalism, it added so much to the story. It also speaks to how much the author did research to make the book authentic.
Craig & Kate are so sweet together and I enjoyed 'watching' their love grow. The Governor & Grams are so important in every book and even more so in this one. I love how the family is involved in everything and every book in the series. I was gifted an ARC and I'm voluntarily sharing my honest opinion. I recommend this book, and the whole series!

Als nächstes Mitglied des Baron-Clan das unter die Haube kommt oder besser gesagt seine Partnerin findet ist Craig.
Er ist ein gefragter Filmproduzent und auf der suche nach einem großen Anwesen wo er sein neues Filmstudio aufbauen möchte.
Bei der Besichtigung stolpert er wortwörtlich über die Tierschützerin Kate, die auf der Lauer nach einer Eule liegt.
Dieser Roman verbindet den Tierschutz mit Erfolgsbuissenes.
Ein gemütlicher Roman, der mich gut unterhalten hat, wie die komplette Serie.
Wer die Barons kennt, liebt sie.

“Just One Take” is a lovely story about a couple, Craig and Kate, who knew of each other in college, but never dated. Now Kate is into saving endangered animals and Craig is a film producer. True love is never a straight path and this one is disturbed by many various creatures of the night including owls, bats, snakes, etc. Ms. Keniston always writes feel good stories that make you wish you knew the characters in her books. You will fall for the Baron family as did Kate. Loved it.

I have loved every one of Chris Keniston’s books! I try to keep up with each new one. I read straight through them and love every minute!
In Just One Take I especially liked the addition of lots of information about animal rescue and emergency care from the heroine, Kate Donovan. Each book has a storyline that widens my knowledge of some new subject! That, with a great, clean,
romantic story is a DOUBLE WIN!

Craig Baron and his cousin Devlin find Kate Donovan on land that he wants to build a studio for a movie production he plans on doing. Kate however advises him that there’s a protected owl in the tree, and he can’t build here. They go back and forth. Kate if all about the environment and protecting the bird. Craig is only worried about his movie.
Kate needs to show Craig around things. Can she show him there’s got to be another way?

The fourth book in the Billionaire Barons of Texas series, billionaire movie producer Craig Baron and environmentalist Kate Donovan's story. Another great well written story. There is a strong storyline and characters. The story is well worth reading. I want to read the next book.

Kate md Craig have known each other since college but didn’t see each other until the owls brought them together again. In trying to save the owls encroaching on his new studio property they meet again and love ensues. Great story.

When Kate finds an endangered owl's nest what will happen to Craig's film site? While these two seemed to be on different sides their chemistry is wow. Great read seeing these two work together to have it all. The Governor and Gram are a hoot.

In " Craig: Du bist mein Star (Texas-Milliardäre Reihe 4) " stehen für Kate das erste Mal ihre Gefühle zwischen ihrem Drang der Natur und der darin lebenden Tieren zu schützen.
Denn als Kate auf Craig Baron trifft und dieser eine alte verlassene Ranch zum neuem Filmdrehort umbauen möchte, ist dort eine scheinbar seltene Eule am brüten und diese bedarf Kates ganzer Schutz.
Als Craig in Texas ein Gelände sucht, um dort in der Nähe der Familienranch seinen nächsten Coup als Produzent anzugehen, ahnte er weder, dass ihm die dortige Tierwelt einen Strich durch die Rechnung machen könnte, noch das er auf Kate trifft, die lang vergessene Gefühle wieder aufkommen lässt.
Aber kann es unter diesen Voraussetzungen überhaupt eine Chance für Kate und Craig geben? Oder steht Kates Bedürfnis die Natur zu schützen sowie Craigs Bestreben eines Studios in Texas zu eröffnen zwischen ihnen und ihrem Glück?
Auch treffen wir wieder auf einen Teil der großen Baronfamilie, allen voran den Gouverneur und der Großmutter.
Die Story hat mich gleich wieder in den Bann der Baron Familie gebracht, dabei bleibt sie spannungsgeladen sowie abwechslungsreich. Man darf mit Kate und Craig mitfiebern und die verschiedesten Emotionen erleben. Es gibt einiges zum schmunzeln bis herzhaft zu lachen, so manche mitfühlende Momente und das ein oder andere Tränchen zu vergießen.
Ich musste das Buch in einem Rutsch lesen, da ich wissen wollte, ob es für beide ein Happy End.
Das Buch bekommt von mir eine Lese / Kaufempfehlung und 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Sterne.

Craig will seine Filmproduktion nach Texas verlegen und sucht dafür das passende Grundstück. Sein Cousin hat das passende zur Hand. Nur hat er da nicht die Rechnung mit Kate gemacht, ein junge Frau der Tiere am Herzen liegen und dafür alles tut, damit der Lebensraum erhalten bleibt.

Im Grunde kennen sich die beiden von früher und doch haben sie früher nicht ein Wort miteinander gesprochen, nur aus der Ferne bewundert.

Das Grundstück, welches Craig erwerben will gibt es nicht ohne Eule und diese hat sich dort in der Scheune ihr Nest gebaut. Aber nicht nur die Eule ist ein Problem, da gibt es auch noch andere Tierische Bewohner die sich auf dem Grundstück ihr zuhause gesucht und gefunden haben.

Ob sich das Problem mit der Eule lösen lässt und was aus seinen Plänen wohl werden wird?

Zumindest treffen sich Kate und Craig immer wieder und es knistert zwischen den beiden immer mehr.

Und ja, seine Grandma sieht schon mehr in den beiden, als er sich selber zu Beginn eingestehen will.

Auch hier ist es wieder eine unglaubliche tolle Story, die ein weiteres Mitglied der Familie dazu bringt sich zu verlieben. Ich bin schon sehr gespannt was mich im nächsten Teil erwarten wird.

Eine ganz klare Kauf-Leseempfehlung.
