I am so happy that RL Griffin wrote Mending. It's a short that picks up from the ending of Seamless, and fills in Some of the bits we didn't get to see.

One of the highlights is the wedding for example, its just such a beautiful, moving and normal day. If you've read all 3 books, ( which you absolutely have to) you will understand that normal and Stella do not go together.

George and Stella finally get their moment and it's closure to their journey down a long difficult road. I cried (again), RL has this knack of being able to do that to me. She really pours emotion into her books.

I was really happy for Stella. She's a kick ass, take no nonsense woman who also has a softer side to her that is revealed in mending. Make no mistake, she's still hard core and can cuss like no other, but in mending she accepts that there are some things you can't control, life doesn't come with a manual and it's fine to trust that whatever comes next will be ok.
With George by her side she can close her eyes and jump. Together they can figure out what comes next.

I loved this short that gave me closure to some of my all time favorite characters. I was really sad that it's come to an end. Am I ready to say goodbye to them, nope not just yet.

This is where RL Griffin is truly amazing , she's giving us another story filled with our favorite characters. Patrick's story will be told in Heart In Wire, and I can already tell we are going to love Patrick even more than we already do, and I'll cry at some point .

Mending deserves all Its 5+ stars!

Yes, this is fluff from Stella. This covers "the wedding" and another event...I don't want to say too much in case peeps have not read Seamless. This really wraps Stella's story up nicely and gives us what Seamless didn't expand on. It was a fab read. However, whilst this wraps it up, I am actually not ready to let Stella go :-(...think I am going to have keep hassling the author... (Full review to come)

You can NOT read this if you have NOT read By A Thread, Tension and Seamless. Major spoilers also for those who haven't finished the series. It's been my pleasure to have met this lovely lady via Twitter and grateful that she acknowledged me and my partner in crime Grace(#TeamShorties) in her latest book, Seamless. I still Squee every so often.

So she sends me Mending yesterday. Of course my reading and RL have to be ignored at the moment because I NEED to know what this is. I'm still holding my chest. The emotions are unbelievable. RL Griffin, you pored your heart out in such a short amount of time. How the hell did you get that all in there? This is Stella gone worthy of redemption while being full blasted hormonal. All of our favorites...Millie, Billy, Jesse, and yes, Patrick *hugs him very tight*, and the after maths of all they've been through to put her back together. We also get some fill in the blanks after Stella leaves George, her pregnancy, the wedding and Oh My Shit, those Vows!

It's truly amazing how this story unraveled and how all the characters grew. Specially how they grew on you and you sat their like a cheerleader with her pompons rooting for your favorite ones. Thank You for the heartwarming HEA of Stella&George. Ooohhhh and she even gave us a sneak peek to Patrick's story. I have a feeling I will need some tissues for that one. So for those of you who have read the series leave your review here or on Amazon so everyone can get this free short story.

I reviewed this at MustReadBooksOrDie with my friend Shelley!

Court: It is ridiculously difficult for me right now to tell you how much I enjoyed this short 40 pages that is Mended...why? Because it would be ridiculously hard to not spoil it and spoil the rest of the series! But...I can say that I still love RL's writing, I still love Stella's voice (I mean..hello...she refers to this one thing as Little Fucker, c'mon)...there is just as much intrigue into what is going on with Patrick as ever before...(Can't wait until Heart in Wire) and it very much so wraps up the end of Seamless in a way that I wasn't expecting but am very glad that we now have. So. That's all I've got!

Shel: Jumping in here to say..this was the best way to end the work week..a sweet little treat to cap off this part of the series. Stella was fun to read, as always, and I loved seeing all of the other characters pop in and remind me of why I loved this series. I am super excited to see what she does with Patrick's story!

OMG!! If you are a fan of R.L.'s series then you MUST read this short novella. I can't write too much because it would be so easy for me to accidentally tell the entire storyline as I am pretty sure the book is only around 60 pages. As I've said in previous books, Stella is MY girl and this was a nice addition to the overall storyline. One glimpse into the superior writing skills of R.L. is a conversation between Stella and her parents on Christmas day. One would think "oh 60 pages, it is just gonna be a bunch of fluff," but they would be so wrong once they read this Christmas day conversation. Mending is yet another book by R.L. Griffin that shouldn't be missed!!!

DISCLAIMER: I received a complimentary copy of Mending in exchange for an honest review.

I thought this would be a happy go lucky love fest. But my heart was breaking for Stella, and then George and then Patrick.

If you read Seamless, then you know you get a HEA. Any fan of this series knows full well we deserved a HEA, dammit! Stella deserves to get some happiness finally.

Am I happen with went down with Patrick in Seamless? No. And I'm surprised Stella didn't come clean about it. But I'm certain that would have changed the ending of this book, in a very sad way.

George & Stella finally get some peace. But what happens to Patrick?!? I think this author is a sadist! (I'm sure she'll love that remark) *kisses*

If you have been following the By A Thread series as I have, and if you have enjoyed it as much as I have... you are going to fall for this book!

This novella is George and Stella finding their way back to one another. Stella, being pregnant. George being George. With it being as short as it is, it is hard to really go into depth about this one without being a spoiler. All I can really say is that it is a great companion to this series. I fell in love with this couple all over again!

I like this story. Mending is the last book about Stella and it kind of sums up everything and all of Stella's feelings. I like how George and her really challenged their relationship and the newest addition. You still feel the heart ache a little and you smile for the latest addition.

No matter Stella went through, this book was the more normal calming Stella. It really is Mending Stella together.

Loved getting a peak at Stella and George pre-Seamless epilogue. It wasn't fraught with turmoil and suspense like the others, but I liked that. It was nice to see some straight up happiness... With lots cussing and smart ass remarks thrown in :-)

***5 George is mine-back off-stars***
Best of the series...for the fragile at heart...like me. Even those who live for the angst BS, will appreciate Mending.

This novella is just what the doctor ordered after the emotional and fucked up ending of Seamless. It's not ALL unicorns and rainbows, but it's as close to it as we are ever going to get from RL Griffin...so enjoy this rare treat!

Love these lines:

"What should be something happy is a clusterfuck."

Millie to Stella:
"You're incapable of wooing a pile a shit, so I'm pretty sure that's how that's going."

"You are the love I never knew I would deserve."

...and the best LOL moment:
Stella: "You so did not see *spoiler*." George: "Nope." He grinned, adding crotch thrusting to his dance.
I didn't think I could love him more, but I swear, my heart fluttered at goofball George. *sigh*

I'm glad RL decided to write more about Stella and George. It's a short novella and at this point I will take anything about Stella and George that I can get.
I was happy to read how Stella and George made up and even get some wedding details. Love all the cursing that went on and all the baby talk... that really wasn't baby talk at all. I was also happy for Stella and the peace that came in to her life. I'm sure I will never tire of these characters.
Than you RL for the ARC copy. Can't wait for your next book. I hope Patrick gets his peace too.

This is the stunning conclusion to Stella and George's story. At the conclusion of book 3 were got sneak peak at the end. This book explains the end and ties it all up nicely. The suspense has finally led the reader to the Happily Ever After that Stella so righteously deserves. There is still drama and worry for Stella but R.L. Griffin has decided to give the reader a break and let Stella have everything. The book is well written and the plot moves well. I am completely addicted to this author and I cannot wait to read anything more by her.

Mending was truly a gift to read. This short read encompasses the love Stella and George should have bend able to have all along. I loved this "fluff" from Stella. It was nice to see her a little more gentle. There are some hilarious parts, because that's the way R.L. rolls! This made me laugh, cry and a little heartbroken for a special friend of Stella's. I LOVED IT! I cannot wait for the next installment, HIW! Thank you R.L. For this gift.

I adored this book. R.L. Griffin is amazing!! I honestly think she could write about these characters forever and I would read everything she wrote about them. I loved being able to see how Stella and George were able to work things out and how he took the news of her being pregnant. I loved the wedding, her pregnancy, and everything in between and after. I can't wait to read Heart In Wire next and see how and if Stella and Patrick are able to mend their relationship.

5 stars!!!

By A Thread has got to be one of my all time favourite series. There's not a lot I can say about Mending without including spoilers other than it fills in the blanks perfectly between the last chapter of Seamless and the Epilogue. By the end I was quite emotional and, yes, I cried!

A beautiful and perfect ending to a wonderful story

If you haven't already discovered this amazing series I urge you to go 1-click buy now. You won't regret it.

I loved this short story! I'm so sad it's over but so happy with the way it ended. After everything Stella has been through she definitely deserved her happily ever after. I hope in the future we might get a short story here and there to update us on what's going on with George and Stella (hint hint RL Griffin).

Love. That's pretty much the word I would use to describe this short story. Stella's love for those around her helped her to grow, helped her to heal, changed her life and helped her to embrace a past that was far from perfect.

RL Griffin used her wonderful writing skills to give us a beautiful happy ending to Stella's rollercoaster life. I loved it! Thanks Ms. Griffin!

I absolutely did not like the ending of the book that preceded this book. It seemed abrupt and rushed. Fortunately "Mending" made up for it. All around if you are willing to/can read the entire series it's is great! Grade A. Beside a few personal preferences I absolutely love it and will continue to reread in the future. Especially with Patrick's story coming to life.

I found this book by mistake, I thought the series was over after reading seamless but R.L Griffin have a gift in filling in the blanks... I didn't realize how much I missed Stella and after reading Mending, a book which I didn't think was even necessary I understand that it was completely essential to round off the 6 years of Stella's life that we as readers spent with her.

I almost never read .5 books because they seem to just rehash the previous book but I'm so glad I read this one! It covered the time period between the ending of Seamless and it's epilogue and was really helpful in filling all the gaps. I love this author!!

A nicely wrapped gift that lets us in on the Wedding to the epilogue. Perfect topping to a sweet series. Stella deserved this HEA and so much more. I loved this series and the sweet love and normalcy for this couple was a perfect way to bring closure to their tumultuous time!
