Twenty year old Serenity always dreamed of being a veterinarian. She's always been the good girl. The one people could always count on, but that changes after her girlfriend makes a bet that she shouldn't have. Draven is a lone wolf, he has been on his own since his parents died when he was 16, he found his home amoung the freaks, the performers, the traveling carnies and lives his nights as a funhouse horror clown. He thought his life was complete until a short, dark haired stranger made a bet he couldn't refuse. Now his only hope is to keep the prize she gave up.

Nice fast easy read novella that's 1 book of a series of 3 carnival themed books. For me the book was OK, but I wanted more from the spice I think. Still moving on to book 2 though!

This was an unexpected treat that I ran across while mindlessly scrolling through books. I am not a big fan of clowns but, after reading this, I think this talented author unlocked something.

Serenity is a young woman who has always been the “good girl” with perfect grades and does nothing wrong - that is until her (ex) girlfriend puts her down as the prize for a bet while playing a carnival game. Her good girl image fades away when she meets the enticing clown who won her. I enjoyed seeing her embrace her true self while keeping her sweet demeanor.

Draven is a man who has done bad things in the past, but the angel he sees may just be his salvation. I loved watching him go from intrigued to lovingly obsessed with his Poppet.

Jamie wrote a delicious tale that’s just a little bit twisted, a little bit dark and just the right amount of dirty. It’s fast paced and on the shorter side but that doesn’t mean I didn’t love it any less. Honestly, I want more of this couple. This was a fun, over the top read that I can see myself revisiting easily and to see that more books are to come inside this world has me really excited to see where this talented author will take the next set of characters.

Serenity goes to the carnival with her girlfriend Avril, and Avril bets she can beat the sexy man in a hoodie. Serenity gets mad and walks away. They go to the haunted house, and Serenity gets pulled into a back room by the sexy man in the hoodie. Draven and Serenity feel an instant attraction. After Serenity breaks up with Avril, Draven and Serenity start spending time together. Draven has secrets, and is leaving soon. Can they be together? Great characters and storyline Highly recommended Amazing book. Love Draven and Serenity. This book is short, sexy, and has a few twists and turns.

Here we have a dark romance that’s well written and a quick read for one night. The trigger warning list is long, and you will find some interesting ones on here too.
The MMC is Draven, who, perhaps, may have some irredeemable qualities about him, depending on where your proclivities lie. However, we can’t help but be drawn to him, nonetheless.
Serenity, the FMC, is finding her way in life, and when Draven steps into her path, all bets are off.
This was my first read from this author, but it definitely won’t be my last. Send in the clowns!

Fun house by Jaime Spicer

Although it is a short book it was fun and I really enjoyed it. I rated it 3 stars because I wish it went into a bit more detail on the backstory to Draven and expanded more into their story. however, i recommend this book if you want something short and sweet to get out of a slump. Very good spice to!

Serenity and Draven

I listened to the audio. The narrators did a good job.


I enjoyed this short dark story. Draven sees Serenity at the carnival he is traveling with and he has to have her. There is a lot going on in this short story but it flows well that makes this twisted book interesting. Can't wait to listen/read the other two in this series.

This is a quick read. Serenity gets used in a bet, and Draven is going to do everything to collect. They are drawn to each other from the beginning and go through lot together in the short time they know each other.

Jamie has made my fear of clowns a little less, and I have unlocked new kinks.

I really enjoyed this short and sm3xy story! This was my first time reading this author's work and I was very pleased. The story quickly takes off and gave me the thrilling experience I was craving after a longer book. I loved this story and would highly recommend checking out this author. This won't be the last time I read her work. I think I found another new book boyfriend in Draven. H0T!!

Rate this a solid 3.5⭐️ & 3🌶️

This book has a great concept and at the beginning really pulled me in. It’s a super fast paced insta-love/lust quick read. As someone terrified of clowns I wanted to read this to see if it translated into my reading tastes. I actually really enjoyed the clown aspect in this because he is a carnival funhouse evil clown and that persona really matches with Draven’s personality and life story.

I feel like this book could have been a bit longer to enjoy some of the plot details better (usually I’m commenting a book needs to cut pages 😅). But over it was a fun spicy read before bed 😊

Low plot, high shmut

This was a nice little unhinged carnival read.

This is definitely one of those that I would read again.

From the st@lking, to him sneaking into her room, to her letting him take her against a carnival trailer where anyone could see.

And the little twist at the end. I really don’t feel like their story is over. I hop there is more in the next book.

I want more

I really need more of this in my life. I love dark carnivals and clowns. I might be a little obsessed with Draven. I loved that it was told from both Serenity and Draven's POV and the author wasted no time with the spice. Can't wait for the next book to come out so I can read that one as well!

There is something very intricate in Draven, that doesn’t make you fear him….it gives you a thrill!! Because of course, I had to meet my first ever horror clown! Funhouse is fast paced, its spicy, its thrilling, its dark, and yet its so very not. Serenity is a nice girl, yet she’s so very not….. read it and find out!!!

Short and spicy

I loved this one. It was fast paced and right to it. I will def be reading more from this author!!!!
