Nar-Anon members share their experience, strength and hope in writing. This daily reader carries the message of Nar-Anon recovery to those who suffer the effects of another’s addiction. The Nar-Anon Family Groups are a worldwide fellowship for those affected by someone else’s addiction. As a Twelve-Step Program, we offer our help by sharing our experience, strength, and hope.
I know this is a "daily reader" with one entry for each day of the year but if you're desperate like me it doesn't matter...just read it. Read it in the morning, in your lunch break and all night if you have to. You are not alone, sadly...but also thankfully in a purely selfish way. So many people are in our situation its heartbreaking, in fact I think it would be a challenge to NOT know someone with an addiction in this crazy world. This book helps, it helps to hear how other people are managing this and through their stories you can feel hope and gather strength to face your own situation however hard it may be. There should be a Goodreads category after "read", "want to read" and "currently reading" called "ALWAYS READING" for books like this that sit always close to hand, on bedside tables, coffee tables, in handbags, manbags and cars.
Needed some quick answers and information.......inhaled the book and have already read it a second time. If your addicted loved one has extreme importance to you, get read it, and reread it, and then KEEP IT HANDY.
I will reread it again starting on July 1 as a daily reading.
