*MATURE AUDIENCES ONLY. Contains adult situations, mild language, and sexual content.*BOOK TWO of the EVERY LIFE SERIESAfter witnessing Makenna’s journey to find herself again, Callie is reminded of her own struggles with love. No, Wes wasn’t always the easy going guy that he is today. He was moody and unpredictable in the worst of ways, and she was certain to call him out on it every chance she got. Looking back, she’s amazed at how much their lives have changed since they met. Before tragedy shook them to the very core of their lives. Before her dream career began. And before Wes wasn’t a broody jerk with a closet full of personalities. Yes, just four years ago, everything was different… Makenna and Shane are just a couple of lovesick college students, and Callie is doing her best to keep up with the demands of her junior year. Life is boring, and she is totally fine with that. But boring flies right out the window the day Makenna cons Callie into helping with Shane’s brother’s birthday party. She expects a gangly pimple-faced teenager, but Wes is far from it. He is temperamental and opinionated, but he is also incredibly hot and thoroughly enjoys pushing her buttons. And she pushes his right back. Even though their undeniable attraction draws them to one another, Wes is clear with Callie about one thing. Relationships are off limits. Friendship is all he has to offer, unless of course, Callie is willing to add a few benefits to that. He works hard to keep the reasons for his aversion hidden, but secrets have a way of making themselves known sometimes, no matter how deep you bury them. Two of those secrets hold the key to unlocking Wes’ fears of the ultimate betrayal. And the other secret has Callie falling even deeper than she ever dreamed. But she’s unsure of one thing . . . is she enough to save him from himself?

Tasha Ivey is a literature fanatic, whose love for the written word fostered her development into the writer she has become. A lover of an extremely erratic mixture of literature, she has been influenced by authors from Jane Austen and E.M. Forster to Charlaine Harris and Alyson Noel. But her biggest influence and literary hero? Nicholas Sparks. Aside from writing, since she doesn't have anything other than a shriveled up prune on the left side of her brain, she prefers to spend her time being creative in other ways like painting, cake decorating, and various types of crafts. That is, if the constant voices streaming through her head allow her to stop making up stories for a while. Lucky for her, she has a huge supportive family, including her amazing husband and two kids, who doesn't complain too much when she hangs out with her characters more than she does with them. Sophie, the dog, however . . . she does complain. A lot.

I have to write this while my emotions are still fresh and intact. When I finished reading Every Breath I wasn't sure I could love anyone as much as I did Sawyer but Tasha proved me wrong me. I loved Wes in this book. Every Kiss picks up right where Every Breath ended and takes us right back to when Callie and Wes first meet.

Callie is the same funny, feisty, and opinionated person that she was in Every Breath. When Callie and Wes first meet at his birthday party, Callie is just getting out of relationship and Wes is dealing with some personals issues. Wes is handsome, moody, and smart. He's an ass to Callie at first but as the night goes on they start to warm up to each other.

The two share a definite attraction for each other, you can sense it, but Wes makes it clear he doesn't do relationships. He's been burned before and doesn't want to go through it again. The two maintain a causal friendship but with his brother Shane dating her best friend McKenna they are both forced to deal with more and more. Despite knowing how he feels, Callie can't help falling for Wes, but what she doesn't know is that Wes feels the same way about her.

I loved reading about how their relationship grew and developed. They both were so stubborn and opinionated. The banter between them was fun but intense at times. Callie always called Wes on his bs and Wes was always honest with her. They really developed a great friendship and Callie helps Wes through some truly difficult things from his past.

Tasha has such a smooth way of writing, that the story just kept me engaged and I didn't want it to end. I loved these characters because they came across as authentic and believable. They were so much fun to read. I was rooting for Callie and Wes and I could feel the sexual tension between the two of them. There were some tense and emotional moments throughout the story and I could feel every emotion. I laughed, I teared up, and I had such a big smile on my face while reading. A definite 5 star read.

When I started this series I loved Sawyer in Every Breath. I still love Sawyer, but after reading Every Kiss and seeing the struggles that Wes went through and the way he came out on top of those struggles I can honestly say that I love Wes more than Sawyer.

If you have not read this series, you need to read Every Breath first to fully understand Every Kiss.

I LOVED Wes and Callie in Every Breath and I KNEW without a shadow of a doubt that I was going to fall in love with them both even more in Every Kiss. Tasha took a couple and gave us their life. How they met, how they worked through struggles and how they came out on top of the world in the end.

The love that Callie showed and the help she gave to Wes throughout it all amazed me. She truly loved that man with all of her heart.

Wes, oh Wes, the struggles he went through. The tough guy act he tried to uphold, when it started to crumble around him my heart broke for that tough as nails man.

I loved every heart breaking, loving, laughable moment of their story. I loved how Tasha sucked me right in and had me dying to turn pages to see how it all played out.

Shane, I need to touch on Shane. It was AMAZING to have a piece of him in this story. I loved how Tasha brought in the parts with them all in college and a little bit more of his and Mak’s relationship was given to us.

I will say if you have not read this series you are truly missing out. This is an amazing series. Tasha has a writing style very unique and she knows how to pull the reader in and keep you engrossed all the way through.

One minute. I just need one minute to get my emotions in check. The crazy part is, it isn't the story of what happened the had me emotional, it was Wes' declaration of love at the end. This book was so incredibly amazing. It's a love story you know you won't forget. It's a story of fighting to keep the one you love, fighting to realize you deserve love, fighting to prove to someone they are worthy of love. But also a story of redemption. A story of healing broken hearts. A story of an amazing man and a tenacious woman who won't give up on him. Heaven knows it's quite possible I may have, with all the pushing and hurtful words he threw Callie's way. But she perseveres. She pushed through. She knew how much he meant to her and how much he needed her and refused to walk away. That built the foundation for one of the most beautiful love stories I read in 2013. The only part that was hard for me was reading about Shane. Knowing what happens in Every Breath reading about him was hard. Reading about Makennas happiness was rough, knowing what that future holds. But hearing Wes talk about him and how Calli helps him with that, eased the pain a little. Those two Baxter men really are the mold. I give this book 5 hearts. It's a must read of 2013.

With Shane in it this will be so sad! I'm gonna have to have tissues I think.... I loved Wes' character in EB and Callie redeemed herself so I'm glad to see we're gonna get their story.

May contain spoilers for the first book Every Breath....

This begins where Every Breath left off, but it is in Callie's point of view. Callie is Makenna's outspoken best friend and Wes is her easy going husband. They have been supportive of Mak and all that she had been through to find her new happiness with Sawyer.

But then the story reverts back to Wes and Callie's beginning four years earlier. We see how they met and all of their struggles that they went through to get where they are now. And in going back, we also see a younger Makenna and her boyfriend Shane, who we did not really get a chance to know in the first book.

Makenna, Shane, and Callie are all college students during this time while Shane's brother, Wes is five years older and already has an established successful career.

Callie and Wes initially get off to a rocky start. Wes is having some personal issues and they immediately rub each other the wrong way. They are feisty, funny, a little mean, and have undertones of flirtation. They taunt, annoy, and tease, but eventually an unlikely friendship is forged. Neither of them think they are looking for attachments. Neither of them wants to get hurt. So what is there to do? Resist, resist, resist! Both are afraid to be the one to fall, but are unable to deny their connection or chemistry.

In this book, Wes is described as tall, dark, and moody. This is not the relaxed, supportive, loving and a genuinely nice guy that we met in the first book. He is a complex man: smart, successful, protective, fun, flirty, and sexy. But also fearful, mysterious, resistant, damaged, surly, and has difficulty coping with certain aspects of his life. He tries to keep his life in order and controlled to avoid feelings and attachments. He is a big time runner and King of denial. He is emotionally scarred and has terrible trust issues. But he knows what he wants, even when he tries to lie to himself. I loved him, but seriously wanted to smack him often.

He's a control freak on the outside to cover up the screwed up mess on the inside.

Callie is sweet, sincere, strong willed, and opinionated. She is not afraid to fight back, call him out, and put him in his place. She also knows what she wants and is not afraid to push the issue. She thinks she can handle no attachments, but deep down she really does want the happiness that Mak has found...someone to love and be loved in return. She fights for those she cares about and is a force to be reckoned with.

"Most girls don't call me out on my bullshit, so you caught me a little off-guard. But surprisingly, I actually like it."

Together they are a complicated nightmare. They run hot and cold and circle around as friends, frenemies, and lovers. Their sexual tension and chemistry is there, but emotionally they are immature. They drove me crazy, but also made me love them. They both had these tough, opinionated, exteriors but were truly sweet, loving people underneath. But it was not easy breaking down all of Wes' barriers. It was hard, painful, frustrating, and maddening, but it only made it more meaningful as he started to make positive changes. Their personalities were stubborn, pushy and challenging, but they also balanced each other out in some ways.

"As far as me treating you differently, I don't know what to tell you. I know I've been hot and cold, but cold is safer for me right now. I'm trying to stay the hell away from hot as much possible with you, and it's damn hard."

The warning bells are going off big time. This man is so going to break my heart. And I'm going to let him.

I loved seeing a younger Makenna and really getting to know Shane. He was perfect for Mak. They were truly adorable together and had so much going for them. It just gives more meaning to the events that happened in Every Breath. It gut punched me all over again just thinking about it. But we also got see a little of Makenna and Sawyer in the present and that also made me happy.

When I first heard the second book was going to be about Wes and Callie, I was surprised and not sure if we needed to know their whole story. But I was wrong. This book exceeded my expectations. Even though we already knew where they ended up, it did not stop me from feeling anxious or fretting about all they were going through. But it really made me love Wes and Callie even more to see all of their struggles, inner turmoil, and to know how they were there for each other and for Makenna during difficult times. It was angsty, humorous, romantic, tense, emotional, heart breaking, and sweet.

Tasha Ivey writes with such a smooth, engaging writing style. Her characters are deep, have significant issues, and are truly as likable as they are frustrating. Her story lines are unique with little twists. There is some mystery usually lurking in the background that you are trying to figure out along the way. And she sucks you into these people's lives and makes you feel for them. I have loved each one of her books and and this was no exception. I am looking forward to the next installment Every Glance. Dalton perhaps?

Thanks to Tasha Ivey for providing me with an arc in exchange for an honest review. Will be posted on blog tour at Reviews by Tammy and Kim.

I felt a little confused by this book. This book actually goes back in time to before book 1 (Every Breathe). In the first book we meet Callie and Wes as a married couple who are very much in love and have it together. But this book we get to see how they got together. In this book we also get to see Makenna and Shane before his death and before book 1 where she meets Sawyer. I actually kind of felt like this could have been book 1 and book 2 to be book 2. I wonder if I would have felt different about book 1 having read more about Makenna and Shane in this book.

Anyways....about this book. I liked Callie in book 1 and I really liked her in this book. She was opinionated, smart, beautiful and everything. She meets Wes at his birthday party thrown by Shane (his brother) and Makenna. Sparks fly. They flirt have a few hot moments, and of course he has baggage and feels like he cannot give her what she deserves. They get close then he pushes her away, back and forth they go, then they aren't even friends, and then they eventually work everything out....

Despite my feelings about the order of the series, I enjoyed this story. I actually liked this story more than book 1.

When I found out Tasha Ivey was creating a series after Every Breath, I was literally bouncing in my seat with excitement. I absolutely adore this author and her outstanding novels. Every Breath captured by heart and I couldn’t wait to get caught up all over again with Every Kiss.

The prologue was perfection. Starting the novel in present time and at a point where the previous novel left off was genius. I appreciated the fact that even if you didn’t read the first book in this series, you could dive right into this captivating story. Callie and Wesley are happily married with a baby on the way so you know all will end well. The fact that I got to travel back and experience their beginning was glorious. I cannot properly explain how wonderful of an aspect that is for me!

Callie is spunky, vivacious, and full of attitude. She will tell you exactly what she thinks which is a blessing and a curse. Her comments frequently had me busting out laughing. I would love a best friend like Callie! Her genuine personality and devotion to those she loves makes her a girl everyone wants to know. Callie really brought a lot of life and fun to this novel. I was definitely looking forward to her story.

Wesley is emotionally wounded with his severe fear of abandonment. He bounces between several different personalities that Callie quickly identifies. Wes is so crippled by his past that he refuses to even think about a serious relationship. It just isn’t even an option. Period. Wes’ rigid and firm beliefs make him appear harsh and inconsiderate. Perhaps all he needs is to find the right woman to turn his life around.

Wes and Callie make a raging bonfire look tame with the amount of heat boiling between them. After their first kiss, both know the potential brewing could be something spectacular. But is the risk too much to take the leap? Callie attempts to forget the overwhelming urge to run into Wes’ arms. She has never felt this way and is unsure what to do. The shallow offer Wes gives might satisfy her cravings but she will always want more. Plus there are the secrets he appears to be hiding…

Meeting Shane was bittersweet but I am overjoyed that he played such a huge role in this story. His presence was a bright light and answered any questions I had about Makenna’s past. Understanding their history made me feel even more connected to these characters and their personal journeys. Shane was a truly magnificent guy and the tragedy awaiting him makes me shudder just thinking about it.

The many themes weaved within the storyline made this tale extremely captivating. Continue fighting for what you want and never give up. You’ll never realize how amazing life can be if you don’t take risks. Overcoming fear and forgiving the past is necessary in moving forward toward happiness. No one deserves to continuously live in the shadows of the past. Discovering true love is the ultimate prize and everyone should open their hearts to allow it in.

Bravo Tasha Ivey! I applaud you on another novel masterpiece that will have readers thankful for your talent. I will be desperately waiting to hear what you have planned next!

VERY highly recommended!

5 BREATHTAKING STAR THOUGHTS

I AM IN LOVE WITH WES & CALLIE! Tasha Ivey is AMAZING! I didn’t think it was possible to love this book as much as I did Every Breath but I DO… maybe even more!!! Wes & Callie's story is real, raw, broken, and beautiful! This is a story of true unconditional love, and the journey to how they got there is amazingly beautiful!

We pick up where Every Breath ends and Sawyer has just proposed to Makenna. After Wes gives Callie a beautiful gift, she is reminded of how they fell in love, and the struggles they had. Wes wasn't always the easy going man he is today! He was moody and Callie had no problem putting him in his place.

Oh, thank God. Not only is he talking, he's speaking my language. "You're telling me you like Breakfast at Tiffany's? Don't you get your man card revoked for saying something like that?"

When Callie agrees to help Makenna with Shane's brother's birthday party she has no idea what his brother will be like. But when she meets Shane's brother, Wes, he is not what she expected at all. He is moody and opinionated, but Callie has no problem putting him in his place. From the first moment there is an instant attraction between them but Wes makes it clear he is not available for anything other than a physical relationship. So they agree unless Callie can deal with being "friends with benefits" they can only be friends. (and when they both finally give in OMG… HOT!!!) They are hilarious together. They push each others buttons and have this amazing connection. But there is also some serious sexual tension!!!

"You do that to me. Every single time you're around. No matter how many times I tell myself that we can only be friends. No matter how many times I try not to let you get to me. I can't make it stop. I'm not just flirting with you. You slay me, and it takes everything I have in me to keep you from seeing it. But I can tell you want it, too. Please just admit that to me."

Wes works hard to keep his reasons for not being in a serious relationship hidden. But secrets can only stay buried for so long. Through the ups and the downs Callie remains by Wes' side even when he tries to push her away. But in the end is she enough to save him?

"I'm not just yours, Wesley Baxter," I say breathlessly. "You're mine."

There are not enough words to describe how I feel about this story! I was emotionally attached to Wes & Callie from the beginning. It is beautifully written and such a real life story of a man who has been betrayed and broken, and a woman who is strong enough to stand up to him and know when he needs to be pushed. I didn't want to give too much away in my review. . .but you MUST READ this story! This book will stick with me for awhile and I will be rereading it again and again! Another AMAZING STORY from Tasha Ivey! Definitely one of my top reads of this year!

"You're my home, Wesley Baxter," she says dreamily, remembering the moment just as well as I do. "You still are, you know."

“Life sometimes sucks ass, and it hurts like hell. But when it knocks you down, you stand back up and dare it to knock you down again. And when it does, you get up again and spit right in life’s stupid face.”

What a great second book in this series! I have to admit, I was nervous going in to it after all the heartbreak from Every Breath. But, I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed it. It’s different…very different, and very funny and sweet. Callie was one of my favorite characters in Every Breath and it was great to get her story, also.

In Every Breath, Callie played a big role, but Wes did not. I didn’t know what to expect from him and wasn’t sure where this story was going. Some I was surprised by and some not. I called him MANY names while reading this. MANY NAMES!! Some good and some bad! He made me crazy with all his emotions!! Wes is a complicated man, but worth the fight. I must say, Callie is an awesome person for sticking with him. He made her work for it, that’s for sure. I laughed hard and a lot at the two of them. I LOVE a strong willed female and Callie is that!! Yeah, she let Wes stomp all over her emotions some, but overall she put his ass in his place without giving up on him. And that made me enjoy her even more :)

“No matter how many times I tell myself that we can only be friends. No matter how many times I try not to let you get to me. I can’t make it stop. I’m not just flirting with you. You slay me, and it takes everything I have in me to keep you from seeing it.”

If you have read Every Breath(and you better!!!), you know there are some heartbreaking moments and I was nervous that those were a part of Every Kiss, but thank goodness they were not. I needed her to leave all that in Every Breath and she did…Thank you Tasha!!

“What’s that weird thing you’re doing with your mouth? It almost looks like a smile, but the great and powerful Wesley Baxter wouldn’t dare.”

Callie and Wes’ story will make you swoon, laugh, love, scream, and sigh. One of my favorite parts and lines of this book is this….”You don’t need four if you get a big enough one to begin with.” They are two amazingly caring and honest people who just have to struggle to be together, but when they are together….they are great together :)I enjoyed that their relationship is not just about the sex. There was just enough romance to make my heart happy, but not too much to make me gag. Overall, a great read and I am very happy I was given the chance to review it. You all can mark this one as another Book Bitch approved book, author, and series. 

I received an ARC of Every Kiss for my honest review.

Holy Hell! Just when I thought she couldn’t outdo Every Breath, I get hit with this amazing story! Tasha Ivey has done it again, and my God! I need more from her, like yesterday! MAJOR BOOK HANGOVER with this one!

So in Every Breath we had Makenna and Sawyer (who I LOVED!) but in Every Kiss we have Callie and Wes (you know them from Every Breath). And I absolutely loved this story! I mean, yes, Wes can be a class A Douchebag in this story, and you want to strangle him, but you know how it ends, so you know there has to be a way that Callie breaks through to him, it’s just getting it to happen that makes you want to scream (a lot). How stubborn can a man be?! I mean, yes, he has his reasons, and you can understand to a point, but at what point do you put your big boy panties on and go on and live life again?!

Chemistry between Wes and Callie is definitely not the problem, they have an instant bond, but both try to fight it. Their story is freaking awesome, I could not put it down, literally read it in one sitting! You really feel for Wes and what he has gone through, and want to cry with Callie for all she puts up with, but to tell you the truth, Callie is one tough bitch! She doesn’t know how to not speak her mind, and I love that in a character. She doesn’t hold back, she tells Wes what’s up all the time, and even if it doesn’t always go how she wants it to, she doesn’t hold back.

I also enjoyed getting to see some of Makenna and Shane’s story since all we know from Every Breath is the heartache, but since this story is set mostly in the past, we get to see that relationship and I love Shane, and I know people who have read Every Breath may get mad because of what happened to him, but I definitely still love Sawyer more! <3 <3 <3

This story is one that reminds you, we all have demons in our past, hurts we can’t get over, but once you find that one person, and they are willing to fight for you, and for “us” it all is so worth it!

Hat’s off to Tasha for another freaking awesome book! I loved this one so much! I kept telling myself, one more chapter then I’ll go to sleep, well that didn’t happen until the “one more chapter” was the last!

*NOTE: You must read Every Breath prior to reading Every Kiss*

Every Kiss picks up where Every Breath left off. Callie and Wes are married, and it is the anniversary of the day they first met. Rewind 4 years and we learn where it all began…
Callie is a loud-mouthed, opinionated, feisty, incredibly loving and caring college junior who seems to have a thing for bad guys. After being used just for sex in her last relationship, she’s decided relationships aren’t worth it – simple and uncomplicated is what she needs.

When Callie’s BFF, Makenna, talks her into helping set up a party for her boyfriend, Shane’s, brother, the last person she expected to meet was someone like Wesley Baxter. She is immediately attracted physically to the Greek God, but it doesn’t take Callie long to realize that Mr. Moody is a self-centered A-hole. Wes is drawn in by her big mouth – he likes that she calls him out on his BS. After sharing some whiskey and a drunken kiss, they can’t deny their attraction to one another, but Wes is up front with Callie from the beginning – he doesn’t do relationships, at the first sign of feelings, he’s out. Friendship is all he can offer, with maybe some benefits on the side, but Callie won’t be used for sex again.

Callie soon finds out a little bit about why Wes feels this way about relationships, but when she confronts him about it, he just pushes her further away. Why won’t he tell her the truth, what secrets is he hiding? Still, they can’t stay away from each other, and each encounter is harder to resist than the first. Callie knows it’ll never go anywhere but she wants to live in the present and make the time she does have with him worth it, but will Wes allow that or run away? What will it take to prove to Wes that not all women are like the ones from his past? Is the inevitable heartbreak worth the risk?

I LOVED this book! I was immediately drawn in from the beginning and didn’t want to stop reading. Tasha Ivey does a great job of getting you emotionally invested in the characters and I was literally in tears at some points. That’s the sign of a great book for me! It is book 2 in the Every Life series, but you don’t necessarily have to read book 1 to understand what’s going on. I haven’t read Every Breath yet, but now I definitely want to just to learn more about Makenna’s story.

Every Kiss is the standalone book #2 in the Every Life Series by Tasha Ivey. Every Breath is book #1.

Callie was one of my favorite characters in Every Breath. She was feisty, fun, and hilarious. She did not disappoint in Every Kiss and she sure kept Wes on his toes. On one hand Wes was the perfect guy... he was funny, thoughtful, and caring. Yet on the other hand he was stubborn, broken, closed off, and hurting. Callie was (I thought) very patient with Wes and his commitment issues.

"All I’m left with is the realization of how wrong I could be about everything. I know now that I could fall for him, if only he’d let me."

The sparring between Callie and Wes was hilarious. They are a truly funny couple and I laughed every time they "accidentally" saw each other naked.

“Come on. You have to make a birthday wish before time runs out.” I make a fist but hold up my index finger. “Pretend this is your candle. Go.” “Callie, don’t be ridiculous. “I’m not. If you don’t make a birthday wish, I’ll make one for you. And you’ll regret that when you wake up three inches shorter in the morning. And I don’t mean your height.”

Callie was such an honorable friend and girlfriend. She kept his secrets and tried to love him and help him even when their friends chastised her. It was somewhat bittersweet to read about their friends Makenna and Shane (from Every Breath) being so happy in college knowing what lies ahead for them.... but at the same time it was sweet. Almost as if the reader was reminiscing about their love story as well... as if we were reading two love stories at the same time.

The beauty of these books by Tasha Ivey is how well they weave together and how deep the emotions run. This was such a sweet and meaningful romance and I encourage you to pick up Every Kiss (4 stars), settle in with some chocolate chip pancakes and enjoy....trust me there are a few embers to light your fire! Be sure to read Every Breath (5 stars) if you want another fantastic book as well! Hats off to Tasha Ivey!

"I know exactly how you feel because it's there in every kiss."

Tasha Ivey had me hooked in the Prologue, Callie and Wes were in Every Breath so I knew how their story ended. But, I was not anticipating the journey the author took me on. It is kind of funny. I knew how it ended and yet I found myself reading into the late night and white knuckling my Kindle.

The author has done another great job at giving us an original and unique story line. I was surprised to see the troubles that faced Callie and Wes in the beginning of their relationship. After reading Every Breath, I thought that Callie and Wes had a normal start. Boy, was I wrong.

This book took me on a ride that I wasn't expecting and I absolutely loved it. Wesley, this man was infuriating. I wanted to jump right into my Kindle and slap some sense into him. I also wanted to hug him and tell him how wonderful he was. In the end I was in love with him, I am so glad he found Callie.

Callie, I loved her spunk in Every Breath and was pleasantly surprised to see that she was like this all along. She is one hell of a fighter and I'm so glad to see she never gave up.

I made a FB post when I was about 80% into this book. It said, "So, I'm reading a book which is the second in a series. I know how it ends. Yet, I find myself white knuckling my Kindle and cursing the author for taking me on this journey with her. That my friends is great writing." I still feel this way today writing this review. I cannot begin to tell you how wonderful this story is. It is funny, sweet and intense. I recommend this series to everyone. Every Kiss is just as good, if not better than Every Breath. I am so glad that Tasha Ivey is writing more of this series and can't wait for the next book.

I give this book 5 Tiffany Blue Stars!! (You'll get this reference after reading) ~Jen

I liked the way this book started, Callie and Wes are already an established couple in Every breath so to get there back story of how there relationship started was so great.

I totally fell in love with Wes throughout this book, how he struggled with relationships and how he over came those struggles. I loved the different sides of Wes, the professional guy in the suit, the tough guy that nobody gets close too, the broken little boy inside of him that misses him mom.

Callie is such a strong funny lovable character and she was just what Wes needed, she didnt take his B S she pushed his self imposed limits and showed Wes what life could be like if he just let himself live it.

Tasha also gave us a peek into Shane’s life, he was the lost love of Makenna’s life in Every Breath but in this book we got to see what Makenna saw in him and the beautiful relationship that Shane and Wes shared as brothers. So Tasha thank you for giving your characters from both of your books so much more depth and giving them so much more meaning.

I didnt think i could love a leading man more than i loved Sawyer, but Wes has stolen his spot for sure. His story is one of healing a broken heart, redemption, fighting for that one person who is the one.

This book was so incredibly amazing. Its one of those stories that even though you know how the story ends, you still read it fast just to see what else happens and your kindle is held in a death grip in parts.
my favorite quote “I know exactly how you feel because it’s there in every kiss.”

Just beautiful, Tasha has written us another knock out book for sure.

Beautiful Beautiful Beautiful!!!

We met Callie and Wes in Every Breath, but now we get to endure their road to happiness. This road was hard fought with many ups and downs. The story takes place in the past on how they got to where they are, which is a solid loving committed marriage.

Calllie meets Wes through Makenna, at the time Makenna was dating Wes's younger brother Shane. Callie had come out of a bad relationship and Wes does NOT do relationships. The two of them meet the night of Wes's birthday both trying to get away from other. They strike up a friendship and despite the chemistry and draw they both feel towards each other, they try to stay committed as to just being friends. This does not last long, they can no longer fight feelings that are there. But one they give in to the desire, Wes immediately shuts down on Callie. Callie is devastated, but also determined to help Wes fight the demons from his past that haunt him everyday. She wants to heal him, not for her but for him so that he can be whole again.

Tasha Ivey has delivered a beautiful love story based on peoples needs to put others happiness above their selves. The story is not all sunshine and roses and I liked that. We she day to day struggles of what a past can do to make someone act out bit also determined to not let the past hurt anyone else or themselves. I loved the way Callie and Wes's story evolves. They are two magnets that nothing can pull apart. Brilliant job Tasha!!

Make sure to grab a few Kleenex, you will need it. Be prepared to also add an amazing couple to the list of bet couple out there.

4.5 Beautiful Stars!!

Loved it!!!

This is the second book in the every life series and if you haven’t read Every Breath I suggest you do that first. I really enjoyed this book just as much as Every Breath, it wasn’t what I was expecting at all, and If you have read every breath you know the end game in this book. You know for sure that Wes and Callie end up happy and in love, but it was no easy ride getting there and I still felt myself saying “oh man I hope they work it out.”

Everyone is going on about how they fell in love with Wes…I don’t get it. I mean yeah he’s cool and all in Every Breath but for the most part I thought he was a bit of a cock in Every Kiss. I get his actions in one way, but man I wanted to hit him. Selfish prick!!! He did win me over in the end but Sawyer still wins it for me hands down.

And Callie, never in all my reading have I ever read someone quite so out there and honest as her. It was a breath of fresh air, there were no real misunderstandings and she called it how she sees it. I loved her! Big time and if I had a book girlfriend she just might be it!!

Tasha as an author is just getting better and better IMHO I love her writing style and she has fast become one of my favorite authors. She sucks you in and before you know it is 2 in the morning and your husband wakes up and growls at you for still reading at this ridiculous time of night (his words not mine) and just on a side note I may have leaked a little….I mean it wasn’t full on ugly crying at this, but a single tear may have come loose.

Highly recommend!

This book back tracks from the first book Every Breath. In the first book we meet Callie and Wes as a married couple that seem to be very much in love and have it together. But this book we get to see how they got together.

Callie was just a normal girl that was going to school and tired of being used by men. She meets Wes at his party and sparks fly. They flirt have a few hot moments, but he knows that he can not give her what she wants. But like all things there is a fine line that you can TRY to no cross right?

Well Wes has had his own issues with heart break but he would rather TRY to be friends with Callie than not talk to her at all. Sure she is a few years younger but she is more mature than people his age. Wes comes with his own secrets and issues that have him closed off from relationships and I can't say that I entirely blame him.

Well they get close then they back up and yet they push the envelope with just how close they can get with out crossing the line. Then, well....Callie has had enough and she wants Wes.

"The warning bells are going off big time. This man is going to break my heart. And I'm going to let him."

Callie is a strong woman, she puts up with a lot of shit that Wes gives her and she takes it. She does not it let her break her. Callie fights all the way for Wes and tries to help him put to rest his past.

Wes is really deep down a good man who has great parents and great friends. I enjoyed the book and I am glad that I got to read there story.

Even with reading Every Breath, which by the way, left me an emotional wreck, both sad and happy…..nothing could have prepared me for the journey I was about to embark on with Wes and Callie in Every Kiss. Every Kiss had my emotions all over the place! It was amazing! I love when a book grabs me like that and doesn’t let go. I held my breath, my soul shattered, my heart was broken (repeatedly), I laughed, I cried, I really wanted to hit something or someone numerous times, yet at the end of this amazingly emotional journey, I felt mended, whole, complete.
~ Wes ~ you’re a beautiful, tormented, frustrating, stubborn, complex, infuriating man and I adore you!!
~ Callie ~ you’re a strong, outspoken, pull no punches, straightforward, just as stubborn, and fights with everything you have…….you go girl!!!!
I will tell you this……never again will I eat chocolate chip pancakes or a chocolate cupcake without thinking about Wes. Those are two moments in the story that will have your heart racing, butterflies in your stomach, and leaves you panting. Unbelievably hot, hot, hot!!
Tasha Ivey, you have an incredible gift of storytelling, of drawing in your readers and taking them on the most incredible of journeys and you do so flawlessly!! I can’t recommend Every Kiss enough. A must read that will sweep you away and I am so looking forward to reading Every Glance. I know, that too, will be nothing short of amazing!!

"I want to end it now while you still want me around because I'm pretty sure that knowing you don't would cut me deeper than anyone ever has."

Wesley is such a complex character that you can't help but fall in love with, we first met him in 'Every Breath' as the laid back guy, enjoying life with the love of his life and expecting his unborn child. However as you'll find out as you read Every Kiss, it wasn't all flowers and rainbows for these two, they had a long and tedious road to travel to get to where they are now. The ups and down were so beautifully written, that I lost myself so completely I read straight though, only stoping at one mark as I couldn't see through the powerful tears Tasha's writing wrung from my heart and soul!

"All I'm left with is the realisation of how wrong I could be about everything, I know now that I could fall for him, if he'd let me."

Callie we also met in 'Every Breath' as the crazy and opinionated best friend of Mak. Going back to see where it all started was amazing. This girl is not only stubborn and relentless, she is also incredibly strong and caring, a total and utter sweetheart. I fell in love with her all over again.

Funniest line in the whole book --- "You don't need four if you get a big enough one to begin with."

I can not wait for the next instalment!

Thank you Tasha for a wonderful novel that had me captivated from the first page!

Every Kiss picks up where Every Breath left us, and then jumps back four years into the past, giving us Callie and Wes Baxter's story.

Callie was the same Callie that we loved in Every Breath. She's the same bubbly outspoken person that isn't afraid to speak her mind. Wes on the other hand, was totally different to the sweet and caring man that we knew in the first book - he was moody.

I loved reading Callie and Wes' story. I enjoyed learning what Wes was like in past and what he and Callie went through to get to where they are today. With the hand Wes was dealt in his past, his moodiness and habit of keeping women at a distance is understandable.

I enjoyed the journey of being there with Callie as she explained how she felt about situations, and how, with some forceful support, helped Wes face one of his biggest fears.

I connected with all the characters in Every Kiss right from the start. They were extremely believable and lovable. Tasha Ivey's writing, as always, drags you completely into the story. So much so that at about 85% through, I was reduced to a blubbering mess! There's nothing better that being so engrossed in a story that it literally causes an emotional reaction.

Every Kiss is due for publication on December 9, 2013. If you have read Every Breath, you need to give Every Kiss a read too. You won't be disappointed.

I received an ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review.

Another great story in the Every Life Series! It was really neat to get to read about Callie and Wes’s story. The characters were well developed and the story line was well laid out. It easily drew me in from the very beginning of the story and I couldn’t put it down until I was finished.

Wes and Callie have and very interesting relationship when things first start out but despite the bums along the way, its obvious these 2 are meant for each other. They both are extremely stubborn and it was comical at times and other times downright intense. A handsome and powerful businessman, Wes can be intimidating at times and it is easy to see the struggle going on within him throughout the book. Callie is fiery and strong willed. I felt immediately drawn to both of them and it was also nice to get to see the relationship that Shane and Makenna had.

All of the characters were well developed and came across as not just great characters but as great people. The story line was well written and I was easily able to play the scenes from the book in my head to create a mental movie. This book will take you on a emotional rollercoaster and leave you drained in the best way. Loved this story of these 2 passionate and stubborn people. This is a 5 out of 5 stars for me!

All I can say is OH. MY. GOD! Tasha Ivey really knows how to mess with your head in the best way possible! After reading Every Breath I knew how things were going to turn out for Callie and Wes, however, I was still holding my breath wondering what was going to happen for half of this book! If that is not the sign of a good book, then I don't know what is!

I hated Wes in this book. And then I fell in love with him. And then my heart broke for him (over and over). Especially knowing that all of the crap that happened to him in this book wouldn't even compare to the pain and loss that his future holds with the loss of his brother (and best friend), Shane. But at the core, all of the things that I hated him about him also made me love him more. In the end, he was struggling and broken and just didn't know it.

I LOVED getting to know Callie and Makenna better too. Their friendship is one to be reckoned with! I loved seeing the interactions between them, and I especially liked seeing how they dealt with their conflicts. I was envious of Callie's ability to speak her mind, no matter the situation. While Mak's innocence and pure love was so refreshing.

This book as as good as Every Breath, and I CAN NOT WAIT for Every Glance coming out in 2014!!!

Tasha told me I would love Wes in this and she was right! I will admit in was nervous to read this one because I read Every Breath and was heartbroken with Makenna over Shane. I wasn't sure if I could read the heartache again but I wanted to read Callie and Wes' story so I just jumped in. Their story wasn't easy like Shane and Makenna's was but that's what I loved about it. Callie is so feisty that only a strong man would be able to handle her. Wes is that man and so much more. He is not the carefree college student but a working man. The peeks that she gets of his life just make her want to know a little more about him and he is the same way. They are brutally honest with each other and yet they still manage to tumble into love. The twists and turns they face make them just a little bit stronger even if they don't see it. They make you want to know their story and how they will overcome everything. There were tears at the end with Wes' POV especially when he mentioned Shane but I knew there would be after getting to know him earlier in the book. Life has shaped Wes into the man he is when he is with Callie. I'm looking forward to Every Glance.

I have to say that Tasha Ivey always seems to amaze me!! I fell in love with Every Breath (book one in this series) and now Every Kiss stole my heart. I remeber being surprised at how much I loved Every Breath. It was a book I hadnt heard too much about and ended up devouring in one sitting. Callie was one of my favorites in the book so I was excited to learn about her and Wes’ story. The book picks up where Every Breath left off but then reverts back 4 years and we get to see where Wes and Callie began. Callie is such a spitfire and I LOVE her!! She was cracking me up and I LOVE how she speaks her mind. I never realized what a complex character Wes was. While I loved him, I wanted to beat him at times. The one thing I love about Tasha’s stories is that they have so many different levels. I love that!! It makes it so easy to relate to. There are so many layers and I enjoyed peeling them back to see what would happen next. Every Kiss is such a beautiful, frustrating love story and is one you dont want to miss. But to fully enjoy it you should read Every Breath first!

Tasha rocks!! I didn't think Tasha could do any better than Every Breath, first book in this series but holy cow, Wes and Callie are HOT!!

Callie never thought she would find the love her best friend has, especially with the cocky manwhore Wes. But from the first time they meet, you can feel the sparks fly!! I love seeing how no matter how each of them fight it, they can't deny it. Wes doesn't feel worthy of loving or especially being loved. But, when Callie brings things from his past back into his life for him to have to deal with, no matter how much he tries to push her away she stands strong!!

I love how stubborn they both are and they don't take either one's junk. They both say what they feel and I think that is what makes this one great book!! I love seeing that no matter how much they may fight you can still feel the heat between them and boy is there heat. This is one book you don't want to miss!! I just fell in love with Wes!! I can't wait for more from Tasha!!

All I have to say this book is amazing.
It picks up where Every Breath leaves off. Then goes back 4 years to where it all began. Sawyer had me hooked in the first book. I mean how could he not. He is a sexy tattooed soldier who has a heart of gold. However I fell in love with Wesley. This book made me laugh and cry. I was laughing so much my husband was like what is so funny. Makenna talks Callie into helping her and Shane set up for his brothers birthday party. When Callie meets Wesley Baxter he is moody and obnoxious. Callie is mouthy and opinionated and is quick to put him in his place. Wesley is good looking smart funny and loves his family. However when it comes to women he runs if they get to close because of 2 women in his life. Callie fights for him and wont run from him. Even though he pushes her to where no one would blame her. This is a must read. Trust me you won't be disappointed

Every Kiss is the sequel to Every Breath and the first book should definitely be read first. Sometimes I get a little leery when with sequels because there is a let down, but there wasn’t one with Every Kiss. Callie is my type of girl because she has no problem sharing her thoughts and opinions plus she has a heart of gold.

Tasha Ivey has written a story with characters that are fully developed and that I felt a personal connection with. And, Wes and Callie’s relationship is that I feel many people will see a little of themselves when reading. Every Kiss was the perfect sequel!!!

Amazing!

I usually am hesitant when the next book in a series focuses on different characters - especially since I've fallen in love with Sawyer & Makenna, but i'm so glad to have learned more about Callie & Wes!!!! they were the perfect couple in Every Breath and now learn that it wasn't always that way and like every couple, they go through their struggles. even though I know callie & Wes has a happy ending, I could still feel the hurt, pain, & wonder that they felt. I love this series and I can't wait for the next book!
