Why this book didn't work for me:
1. Eddie's brother is Meg's stepfather. Yes, I know there wasn't any blood relation between them - as the author pointed out repeatedly throughout the book - but it was still too weird for the little prude in me.
2. Eddie, the hero, is 34 years old. Meg, the heroine, is an 18-year-old virgin. That huge age gap in a D/s relationship made me uncomfortable, because I wasn't convinced that someone as young and sexually inexperienced as Meg really knew what she wanted for the rest of her life.
3. I'm okay with light BDSM - as in, some spanking and restraining - but when a flogger and a cane entered Eddie's play room, I started running for the hills and screaming like a banshee. The fact that Meg didn't enjoy all Eddie's punishments was the final nail in the coffin.
On the bright side, I liked Eddie and Meg outside the bedroom. He was nice, reliable, and protective but not overbearing, and she was intelligent and confident. She might be sexually submissive, but she was socially independent, and he respected that.
Unfortunately, the "bad" overcame the "good" in this book for me, so I can't say I liked it.

So... not as icky as I thought it was going to be. I must have misread the blurb a long while ago, as I thought it was going to be skeezy.
It wasn't.
Not much to say about this one though. It was short. Had lots of kink. The female (whose name is escaping me at the moment) was very naive.
Eddie was very dominating in all the right ways.
Though I did find it odd that he had a fully decked out dungeon (his bedroom), but had never actually played with anyone there. It just seemed too odd.
I will admit I am slightly sad that it appears Roxie has decided to drop the series (to focus on the WAY better series... which I'm not sad about that, but I would have liked to see this one completed)

Fun and hot read. I was quite entertained. Even though she is barely legal, she acts a bit more mature. Sadly we don't get much insight into his mind, that would have been interesting.
