A small group of twenty-something Russian writers getting together to assert that old literature is Bad and that their new literature, filled with slang, is The Future. I love it.
I've been reading a lot of literary manifestos lately, and I'm starting to think it's just a part of everyone's development in early adulthood that you discover one idea and decide, quite dramatically, it's a shame No Others In History have ever been as forward-thinking as you. "From the heights of skyscrapers we gaze at their insignificance!" But of course one must be so passionate about something to set out to make a movement of it.
The tone at times reminded me of those twitter threads where someone who has read half an article on an incredibly complex is yelling at you about what you don't know. But in an endearing way, truly. Onto the future!!
