They say all good things must come to an end. And this is the end..... the lives of our favorite Stricken Rock family comes to a close. Without giving away any major plot spoilers......
I was there page by page as I read for my friend Author SK Logsdon as she wrote the final installment and then read the entire thing again when the ARCS were sent out. **tears** Happy tears in the end. These characters have become my family and knowing I was reading the last book was the sad part. Anyway-----
It is bittersweet that I say goodbye to this crazy, dysfunctional, rock n roll, family I have come to love so much. The characters that have personalities like no other. Whose situations are not the norm. Like most I was in a love/hate relationship with Johnathan through out the series and I had hoped he would turn his life around and be the man that Emily needed. He had previously done a bang up job of being an ASS and you know what....that's just him. Sad but true. I fell in love with James from the beginning and was torn as to whom I felt Emily needed to end up with. I loved his way of being the gentle, loving and caring friend she needed while dealing with the issues she had been dealt. I loved Claire and could see why Emily loved her like she did. I loved Stacy and the way he loved Emily and tried to protect her. Most of all, I loved Emily! She took what was thrown at her and she dealt with it. She took chances and tried new things. She has that smart ass mouth and a kick ass personality. She was always trying to be the protector of everyone involved. Not mater what their choices were. She was strong when she needed to be and yet she let her guard down and allowed herself to need help and comfort of others when it was needed. Our Emily has grown and matured and although it took time....she is now a happy woman!
This book takes us on a journey of Closure for all involved. Some happy moments and some not so happy ones. We are dealing with a lot of emotions in this book. We have heartache....we have some Great sex....we have happier, funnier moments. Stephanie even shocked me a few times with some of the scenes. In a good way - of course! All leading up to what I feel is the ending these characters needed.
The book follows all three POV. We hear from each of them in this book. Emily, James and Johnathan. We feel every emotion they are going through. I shed some ugly tears while reading this one. I hated seeing where they were all headed. I hated the heartache that several were dealing with. Johnathan breaks my heart on several occasions when we hear him talking. You really get a glimpse of just how much he does love Emily. Even though he has a shitty way of showing it. He makes you remember why we fell in love with him in book one.
We are taken on what I felt was an emotional roller coaster in this book. Emily dealing with her feelings for all the men in her life. An unexpected turn of events making life that much more difficult for her to deal with. Johnathan dealing with his love of Emily while also having feelings for another. After everything Johnathan puts Emily through I found peace with him. But - Did he ever clean up his act and get his shit together and really commit to making a life with Emily? We have James....my sweet Papa Bear....the man I fell in love with. The man I wanted Emily to be with. The man who can make your heart swoon and your girly parts dance..... Was James able to express his feeling for our Emily and win her love? Was James able to put his past behind him and move forward? Where did we leave our beloved Stacy? He finds his soul mate and that is all I will say about that =)
We will have some people happy about the outcome and others will not be. I was satisfied with the way the story ended. It's exactly as it should have been!
I didn't go into details about anything.... because to be honest. A lot happens in this one. Like A LOT! We get a lot of back story on characters and we see growth involving others. This series has never been your typical hearts and flowers romance. That is not SK's style of writing. SK takes chances and I believe in the end those paid off. This was an amazing series. Full of everything you want in a book and a little more ;)
So, make sure you one click when this releases. See where our Stricken Rock family ends up. See how crazy their lives have been and where it has taken them. See all the drama that unfolds in this one. Just know this.... no matter who ends up with who....the gang is still ALL TOGETHER..... living as they always have - as one Crazy Ass Stricken Rock Family. <3
Thank you Stephanie for allowing me to be a part of this journey with you. I am so proud of you and I know you struggled a tad with this one and you did right by the characters! You know I believe in your work and stand behind you 100%! It was the love of your first book that led me to a beautiful friendship. I look forward to many more years of being your "sista"....... Team Papa Bear... always! <3
I originally read this series 7 years ago on either Amazon kindle or iBooks. I’ve been wanting to read it again for years but haven’t been able to find it anywhere, until I stumbled upon it on Google to read online, now I don’t know if it’s because I read an unedited version online or what but the first two books were terrible in terms of editing, reuse of words, stupid things said etc that they were hard to read and if I hadn’t read them before I would have stopped reading early in book 1, also I get that the author wanted to downplay Johnathan’s part because he’s not the one Emily ends up with but she definitely downplayed him too much, I’ve read a lot of insta love books and it just didn’t work here, Emily is portrayed as this amazing girl that every man and women who meets her wants her, again that can work in some books but it didn’t work here, I rated books 1 & 2 four stars and books 3 & 4 five stars, the writing was much smoother in the last 2 books and I enjoyed the second half of the story more because JAMES!!! He was the real star of this series in my eyes, I would read it again and again just for him 😂 When I say this series if FILLED with sex I mean it’s FILLED I honestly don’t know how the author fit a story in there coz there’s that much of it, I will say towards the end I skimmed those parts coz even for me it was over kill, I just wanted to finish the story not read about how she has another amazing orgasm more amazing than she’s ever had before 🥱 and don’t get me started on the anal sex like a day or two after she’s just had twins by c-section, now I can’t say for sure it’s a bad idea coz I’ve never had a c-section myself but come on, far fetched? 🙄
I would say overall I loved the story even if it was annoying at times, not sure I’d read it again especially if my only option is to read online, this could be an amazing read if the editing was sorted and the characters had better character development

It's a good ending to this dysfunctional group of people in all honesty! I was basically in a hate/love/hate relationship with all of the characters! I got how and why they wanted everything to work but then nothing would as planned at all! And they all did some maturing and growing up and soul-searching throughout the whole book. Each of them somewhat took their own paths and if they ended up where they hoped and wanted to be they were happy!
They all had to make decisions that was best for them and them alone! I didn't get some of their decisions and choices but I understood how it was the best for them and their futures and all the kids involved! It all began in book 1 as a gaint cluster fuck that only grew more and more throughout each book with people who came and went! But in the end it dissolved and everyone got their HEA in some way or another!
What an ending to a great series!!! I am sad that it ended but these will definitely be 're-read! So of course this book was filthy! Not for the faint of heart or if you're a prude ;). Papa and Moma bear are one of my favorite couples of all time!! Jonathan oh man this guy is seriously twisted!! I can't believe Cammy puts up with his shit! But she's nutty too so it fits! This "family" is unconventional but a family none the less. Check this out!!!
Argggghhhh I hate to do this but JUST OMG NO! What happend SK? I absolutely LOVED the other books in the series (and your other books) but this book was just one clusterf**k. This book was all over the place and I just didn't get it. Throughout the 4 books the characters slowly changed, they weren't the same in the end. And I didn't like it at all! This book just wasn't for me!
After watching Emily go through two years of her life, picking up the pieces after heart breaks, exploring a world of sex, music and love that she never dreamed existed, and searching for her hearts desires, we finally get to see how she ends up and with whom she dedicates her life to.
Stricken Resolve starts with her in the hospital on bed rest, trying to hold off the delivery of her twins. By her side is James, her former bodyguard who has asked her to marry him. Jonathan still claiming his undying love for her while having sex with Cammy wants to find a way to have both women in his life.
The author gave us some intense moments such as when the babies finally arrived. When the time came to name them, when Emily’s world came crashing down on her and she lost her reason to live and watching Jonathan struggle to do what was right, while wanting to keep what he thought was his all to himself. Emily was once again surrounded by her friends who created a very dysfunctional yet loving family for her.
During this story we also had a chance to understand James more, what he does, how he felt about Emily. His story alone created some wacky dramatic situations that left me on the edge of my seat then shaking my head at what goes on in this authors mind.
She created a story of magic and unconditional love among people who sometimes understood boundaries, sometimes those boundaries were lost. What was never lost was the desire to get back up after life knocks them down and make the most out of what they had. Going back on tour so soon after Emily’s life fell apart wasn’t easy for the band, but they knew in order to make their dreams come true, they must. What was so inspiring was they didn’t lack in support for their choice, because even Emily knew that her family needed to do this for their future. A never give up attitude is clear in this book, but also a never give up on each other is even stronger.
I enjoyed the end when we were able to see what Emily decided to do with her life, how her twins were going to be raised and we also saw the future for the supporting characters that we grew to love. I really recommend this book to the readers, but my advice is to make sure you start with book one in the series so you know the whole journey for Emily and her “family”. They will shock you, make you wonder about your own life and they will capture your heart and never let go.

I was given this book to read by the author for an honest review. I don't know if I would have ever read these books unless I had stumbled on them. I was not much of an amazon girl (always got books from library) I don't usually try to many new authors. But so glad I started entering these contest on facebook. If I hadn't I wouldn't have won the first book Stricken Desire. Let me tell it was my kind of book. So after I read it I bought the other 2 in the series and could not wait for the 4th to come out.
I feel as if Emily, Johnathon, James, Stacy, Kyle, Cammy and Dylan are part of my "Family". Johnathon wow He's the type want to hate but can't. He puts Emily through so much but all she does is love him. I could write about all the characters buy afraid to give to much away. This book takes you through them all growing up and maturing. I'm sad to see this story end but she did an awesome job tying it all together. I cried for Emily , I cried for James boy did I cry for him. Jonathon I wanted to strangle but that's a given. Cammy she is just so sweet. Stacy and Kyle so happy for them and Dylan who can't help but love that little butt. Then there is Dylan and the babies you cant help but love
I fell into book 1 by accident and have thanked my lucky stars since because I LOVE this series and the Author. This is book 4 to the series and is full of highs and lows with a perfect ending. The sex scenes were off the charts hot, I will totally look at a pool table differently now.
My only 2 issues with this book is that I wanted more. I wanted a more specific explanation about how James came home. For a good portion he's gone and then BAM he's back, I wanted more details.
The 3 different view points were perfect and helped me feel the pain, angst and happiness in the 3 main characters. My only issue with this is that I wish we had one more chapter of Jonathan so see his side of things in the end, especially with his multiple breakdowns.
I hope this Author considers doing a spin-off with Stacy and Kyle. Backtrack it so we can see their complications with building a family and then of course in the future. Just a thought ;-) I can't wait to see what Stephanie releases next because you know I'll be reading everything she puts out.

This series made me feel everything that was written, as if it was me telling the story. The characters were so developed that you got to know them and you can’t help getting swept up in their lives. Does that sound like I need to get out more? Maybe a little.
I shed many tears reading this, more than I’ve done while reading any other series and I loved every word. I mean I ugly cried through this, it wasn’t pretty but I loved this story. Oddly enough I keep seeing “The Rock” in my head every time I read the word James...wonder why? LOL
This will be a series that I will be rereading and I will love ever word of it all over again.
Great job S!

There are certain series, books, and characters that you become so invested in their stories it's almost like they are apart of your life and you feel every emotion they go through. The Stricken Series is one of those series, Stricken Resolve is one of those books, and Emily, James, and Jonathan are some of those characters. This was the perfect ending to the series. I loved that we not only got Emily's POV but we also get James and Jonathan's as well. I loved getting into their heads even it was a little scary and whole lot kinky.
Let's start out with Jonathan, of course he's still in love with Emily, but he is also in love with Cammy. Cammy and Jonathan together equals some crazy kinkiness ( CRAZY!!!) I will never look at a pool ball the same again. Can Jonathan finally get over Emily and move on to Cammy?
Then there is Emily and James. Ahhh Papa Bear he's so HOT, sweet, and a little scary. However I did want to hurt him for hurting Emily in this book, but I won't go into that. Emily finally become a mom, I felt so back for her being on bed rest and the pain. Will James and Emily finally find their HEA?
It's no secret that I love this series and SK Logsdon. Her stories and characters are different from any others I have read and I love discovering them ( faults and differences included) none of her characters are anywhere near perfect but they are all perfect for each other in some way. Seriously go out and get this series. I am highly recommending and assure you will love it too!
This was the conclusion of the story of the Emily, James & Johnathan, as well as the rest of the gang.
Emily is on mandatory bed rest at the end of her pregnancy, and terrified that something can or will go wrong. James is trying to keep her calm, and take care of her while she is restricted from leaving the bed.
When James must do the most difficult thing he can imagine, it breaks these amazing people. It destroys both James & Emily, and throws Johnathan for a loop. Johnathan tries to help Emily, but is hiding his own secrets from her. James is trying to be strong, however he is facing his own demons. Emily is struggling to keep her head above water and take care of her babies.
Will these three people be able to heal from the pain they have suffered? Will all their secrets come out? Will they be able to heal the heartache? Will they finally get the HEA that they so richly deserve?
This was a good read that must be read, especially if you have read the other books in the series. While the characters aren't all sweet and innocent, they are real, and someone I could have fun talking with and spending time around. You must read these books and get to know the Stricken Rock Gang!!
When I had the opportunity to do this blog tour, I was excited. I finally had an excuse to read S.K. Logsdon’s books I had bought months ago. She certainly did not disappoint! This was a great ending to a great series. Kind of bitter sweet, really, as I fell in love with all the characters. I must add that from the beginning of the series to the end, I got to watch the author grow. Her writing improved and got better and better as the books went on. And let’s not forget Emily’s character. We got to watch her grow as well. There was a lot of emotion and ups and downs in this book. It was sexy, funny, heart-warming and what else can I say but HOT HOT HOT. One of my favorite things an author can do in a book is add in different POV’s. Well done, S.K. Logsdon! I’m excited to read the other books she has out and her current WIP. She is quickly becoming a favorite. 5 stars from me!
5 star. This book is an amazing read. The whole series is amazing but Stricken Resolve is my favorite. How could you not love a series about rock stars and hot as hell ones at that. This series has drama, heartbreak , happiness and love you feel each characters pain and emotions and connect with all of them on a different level. Stricken Resolve had me bawling my eyes out and heartbroken for Emily. To finally feel like everything is falling into place and then BAM your world is turned upside down. This series was wrapped up beautifully and I loved every book a little more as I read on. I don't want to say to much about this book because there is so much going on in this book. This series is a must read and I'm heartbroken its over but I am overexcited to see what S.K.Logsdon has in store for us next.
This was the perfect end for this story.. I read this in like two hours so now you know how good this was.
Every characters gets his HEA even though.. and this is just a tiny little BUT.. I would have love for Jhonathan to be with Em.. I guess I had a soft spot for him and as you can see I'm Team Jhonathan all the way.. even if I love James as well.
I'm very please with the writing and the characters, this really was a great serie.. this was 'insanely good' so I would recomend it to everyone.!
Ps.. I'm sad this story end but I'm happy that we get to meet this crazy, beautiful story about passion, forgiveness, redemption and ultimately finding yourself along the way.
They keep getting better! I thought I was going to die waiting on these babies to be born! Poor Emily is stuck on bed rest and more able, but with James by her side it's more bearable. He is so sweet and loving. I just kept falling in love with him! Shortly after the babies are born James gets called to leave by the military. I won't give away more, but I was ready to stage a revolt at that point! I loved the way the books ends. I loved how Emily's strength stands the trials life has thrown her way. Such a great ending to this series!
I don't know if I like Johnathan yet or not, the stunt he pulled around the wedding was just crappy. I don't know how Cammy deals with him still being in love with Emily. I understand them together though, they both understand each other and help each other. Papa Bear, Oh Papa Bear...... He is one of my all time favorite characters. I hated to see Emily broken, but it was important to the story. Still don't like Stacy gay. The fact that they really are one big happy family is cool. LOVED, LOVED, LOVED THIS SERIES!!!!
I love this series I didn't leave reviews on the rest because I didn't want to take the time to get to the next book. I loved it Jonathan reminds me of my best friend who is a womanizing guitarist. I love him to death but there are days I could kill him. I'm with the love of my life who is a lot like James. All I have missing is a set of twins. Anyways I loved this series it wasn't normal by any means the rock star doesn't get THE girl but they all win in the end.
I seldom write reviews but this last book had me feeling so many things emotionally that I had to stop reading for a day. I developed a love hate relationship with all the characters, I felt disappointed with the choices made by the characters and I questioned the living arrangements with kids involved...but to each his own. Funny thing is, it's more real than we think. Overall an interesting series.
This book from the first one had me hooked and couldn't wait for this one to be released and WOW not a let down at all had me crying and laughing. I loved mama bear and papa bear and how the story went. Brilliant end to the messed up love story and I really want a book for D too as he was just lovely in it. 5BIG STARS FROM ME :-)
I was lucky enough to win a copy of this ebook. I have read the other books and this one was by far the most emotional for me, I was so happy for Emily after the birth of her babies. The her one true love is taken away. I cried for her and felt her sorrow . I loved seeing the series end the way it did, still very sad to see this series end.
I actually won this book in a compaction from SK Logsdon about a month before it was out, this is one of my favourite book series. This book summed everything up and was what the fans hoped for. It made me laugh, cry and shout at a certain rocker sometimes! Lots of HOT sex going on in it. S K Logsdon did a great job finishing this story and I am sad to see it go. Well done Stephanie.
The last book in this series and I cried thru the first half... I love Emily so much and she so deserves to have a wonderful life, but it seems that all odds are against her. So glad that this series ended the way it did..
Why wasn't this editing team used on the previous books!!! There were still some minor mistakes but nothing like before this in turn allowed me to full enjoy the finale of this story. I loved how all the characters evolved and learned to love through all kinds of odds.
I have read all four books in this series over the past two days. While the story is fantastic, I was very distracted by the bad grammar and misused words. Please do keep writing, but PLEASE find a GOOD editor to proofread your work. I'm yours for a price!
Another brilliant book in this great series. Gripped from the start, the conclusion brought all the loose ends together. I won't say anything else because I don't want to add spoilers but I will just say that I was smiling at the end.
This book kept me riveted till the last word. The up and down of love was amazing to see with these characters. I will read anything by S.K. London without hesitation.
No having finished the series, I realise this didnt end up to be at all what i thought. line of story kind of deteriorated from 1 - 4 however Im a sucker for big messed up families and happy endings!
