5 If You Love Musicals Stars
* * * * * A Review About West Side Stories (1996) Documentary on West Side Story
Yes, I can't stop. I grew up loving musicals and saw many in the big theaters as a child. I will never forget West Side Story and then seeing all of the Oscars it won. My older sister and I would perform all the songs and dance around the house with the movie soundtrack playing on the stereo.
Anyway, I happened upon this youtube documentary about the making of the Broadway show, the movie with all of the players talking about the experience. It was done in 1996 and if you are into this type of thing, quite enjoyable.

It is important to remember, the Broadway show was done in the 50s' and the movie a little bit after that...meaning some of the things they talk about are not the current way of how things are done now.

Interesting
This book is interesting because it has memories of yet making of the movie “West Side Story” by some of the cast members. However, several of the cast members recount the same stories, which was a bit repetitive on one hand, and validated the stories on the other hand.
