Finally, this series came to a relentlessly satisfying conclusion!

I wouldn't say this last installment was enthralling throughout, more than half of the book wasn't what I expected. There was not much going on in the first half and Sophie really ticked me off for not trying to solve her indecision. How she couldn't make up her mind, whether she would get back with David or move on with her life, made me want to throw the book away. Just when I thought this would certainly be the most disappointing book in the series, the last 40% of the story proved me wrong.

Damn, this man knew very well how to grovel! And as always, I just can't say no to grovelling heroes who can redeem themselves with an emotional and heartfelt apology. And David totally proved himself he was worthy of Sophie's love!

The ending was far sweeter than I thought it would be and I can say that I liked it a lot. So, I ended up giving this book 4 stars instead of 3.

This book marks the ending to this great, but short series. Surrender gave me what I wanted!
David and Sophie have been apart for 2 months. Because Sophie walked out on David. And you know what? SHE WAS RIGHT TO DO SO.

I think, had she never left, David would have repressed all those pent up feelings and never admitted what was glaring him in the face: YOU LOVE HER MR. AVOIDANCE!

This is a very short series though, so there isn't a lot of focus on character development, but it is great! The pacing is perfect and don't assume it would be because of the short length. But what I loved most about this series and this book in particular, is the depth of emotions felt by Sophie.
I honestly felt her pain. Serena Grey writes Sophie's heartache so convincingly. I empathized with her so acutely. It was exactly what I would feel after loving so strongly and being made to feel unimportant.

David had his reasons of course, and I'm glad he worked through his issues with Sophie despite his strained relationship with his mother. The only thing I wanted was for David to discount what Sophie thought she saw him doing with his 'ex,' at the party they had attended before she left. She never asked, and he never volunteered...but hey, maybe words weren't necessary.

So glad I was given this series to review! Enjoyed it so much, thanks Serena.

Sophie and David finally come to their senses in this book! After a great deal of pining for one another they each have to come to terms with what is really important to them. He is finally forced to deal with his long-standing mommy issues, or risk losing the girl. She realizes that she can't just pick up and move on without him. Emotions run high, tempers flare, and they finally get it all out in the open and work things out. A nice finale.

3.5 - 4 OBSESSIVE STARS

Filled with angst, disappointment, and passion. This finale to the series really worked. This is what I wanted in book three.

Sophie new she loved David from the moment she met him. Not having love growing up and being kept from experience the world by a her aunt, it's a wonder she knew what love was. But David being distrustful of anyone, couldn't see or understand Sophie's love for him. So he pushed her away. This is him trying to get her back and boy was it good.

Thank you Serena, for letting me be a part of your journey and reviewing the series.

Fabulous ending to a mini-series that really took me by surprise!

I love how after all that hullaballoo with the toxic people in David's life, it all boiled down to his relationship and feelings towards Sophie. She loved him and wanted him to love her but he was afraid, and yet he was already loving her without even realising it. This story mainly revolved around him getting her back and actually proving to her why he deserved to have her love. And we all know how that ends up ;) I also swooned at that sweeeeet epilogue. All these mini-books make me wish that they were a bit longer and it goes the same for this one.

Everything wrapped beautifully in the end and I highly recommend this mini series to those who love engaging short romance reads.

This is the conclusion to David and Sophie Preston's story.

Sophie is heartbroken over her separation from David, even though she is the one who asked for the separation. His failure to tell her that he loved her was bad enough but to say it was always just sex between them was pouring salt in the wound. Sophie just wanders through her life. She works, goes home and goes to bed. She goes and gets coffee everyday before work. She's sees the boy who lived next door to her when she was growing up. David said that this boy, Eddie, was in love with Sophie. Sophie never even considered Eddie as anything more than a friend.

Sophie caves and calls David. They have an awkward conversation and she hangs up. David later shows up at her work and takes her to dinner. They have a hot night of sex but nothing really changes. She still loves him and he most say if he loves her. She agrees to a drink with Eddie as just friends and this doesn't end well because David is waiting outside her apartment.

This book was just okay for me. I got really sick of David being a pussy about his childhood. I get that he had a bad childhood but as a grown man, he has to be accountable for his actions. He finally admitted that he loved her but by that time I had a bad taste in my mouth because of him.

YAY! I'm so thrilled to receive an email from Serena with an ARC copy of this book to read and review :)

I've loved this WHOLE series so far and couldn't wait to sink my teeth into the fourth and FINAL instalment.... Or is it?... (Hint Hint)

Soooo

I've seriously still got my Love/Hate relationship going on here! Urghh that man has so big headed
But I loved to see him start to cave and crumble after Sophie left him.

So he should.

Doesn't he realise what a wonderful and beautiful woman and relationship he has lost....

Sophia was a walking zombie, walking half dead, depressed, and constantly reminded on David by only the small things.
Of course she misses the big Ol' oaf, she's in love with him. but why can't the lug get it into his thick head!

Urghhh, you see, this is what the man does to me, riles me up...

But I can't help feel sorry for his gorgeous little ol' arse, as we learnt a lot about his childhood and the love he never got in "Claim" book 3 :)

The ending was just what the doctor ordered, Perfect in its entirety.

Although I would like to see maybe what happens next......

Overall, this was a wonderful series! I loved following David and Sophie from that first moment of love at first site all the way through the conclusion of this series. This story is filled with passion, angst and ultimately love and happiness. I was glad to see that this story picked up right where the other one left off. At times, there is so much angst between David and Sophie, it just keeps you on the edge of your seat.

I want him to tell me that he can't live without me, I want him to love me as much as I love him, helplessly, hopelessly and totally.

Serena has a way of sucking you in from the very beginning. Her characters are strong and the whole piece flows very nicely from one story to the next. I could not put this book down, I just wanted to find out what happens to them overall. I can't wait to read more from this amazing author. If you love stories full of passion and love along with a little angst, then you will love Serena's books. Thank you for allowing me to read your book in exchange for an honest review.

Because without love, life doesn't mean as much as it should.

Gaahhhhhhhhhh!!!! Serena Grey!!! I am so sad to see this series come to an end! I received the ARC in my inbox and I couldn't help myself I had to dive right into it. I loved Sophie and David's story although I felt it moved too fast in the first two books I seriously got what I wanted in this one! I am seriously, seriously so sad to see it end. But I believe that the ending was just what this story needed. The connection between them is just palpable. There is no denying that there's love there on so many levels. Serena I can't wait to see what new characters you make me fall in love with!!!

**ARC copy received from the author for an honest review**

After Claim, we are left wanting to know how this story is going to continue/end. I was waiting anxiously for this one and I was not disappointed. Surrender is the conclusion to David and Sophie’s love story. This time we get to read again from Sophie’s point of view. I would have loved to read more from David’s perspective too, at least one or two chapters, but we do get the Epilogue from his POV and that was just great.

We learn more about Sophie’s past, and I must say that I really liked the way Serena told us this part of the story; I didn’t see that one coming. We finally get to fully understand David’s relationship with his mother, or lack thereof. We see why he was neglected by his mother while growing up and why she always chose his bully stepfather over him. That woman had a problem and I definitely do not blame David for the way he treats her. She totally deserves it!

This was everything I expected after following the whole series. I really loved the way David finally accepted his feelings. Don’t get me wrong, he is just so stubborn and he still fights against his past demons and has trouble letting Sophie in. He wants Sophie but refuses to give her the only thing she wants. I knew he had to be the one to surrender, and boy he did :) Everything ended the way it should have, and I kind of wanted a little bit more, but then I always want more after finishing a good book :)

This is a fast read and the entire series is very well written. I would recommend this series to those who like fast paced romances with a little of mystery.

I would definitely be reading more books by this author.

I enjoyed reading this last book in the series. I look forward to many other books by Serena. I felt sad many times in this book, Sophia was always walking around half dead, depressed, and constantly going and looking at that painting in the gallery. I was glad that David finally allowed himself to open up and let his feelings be known. I felt that this book wrapped up the questions I had from the prior books such as what was Sophia's mother's story, what really happened to David growing up with his mother and step father, and what had caused David to be so emotionally closed off. I was thrilled about what happens with David and Sophia I just wish the whole epilogue was about them and allowing us to enjoy them being together, it feels like I have been through so much hard-ache and struggle with this couple and only a few glimpses of them being happy. Yes we got to see their sexual side but it just would have been nice to read about their day to day interactions, their love growing, or even them further into the future and what that looked like, I didn't get to bask in their happiness long enough. I will say the main thing I loved about this book were some of the things David said to Sophia that melted my heart "My Brain was fried the day I met you, Sophia" and "I think I may have loved you from the first time I saw you" then some of the things that made me want to cry, like when he said the simple statement "Come home" then later he says "Don't leave me" I think others will enjoy reading about David and Sophia.

Sophie is adjusting to life without David. Trying to forget how deeply she misses him, wanting to just pick up the phone and call him. Knowing that David only married Sophie for sex makes going back impossible. Day by day, Sophie goes through the motions ….an empty shell. It has been two months since she walked out. In that time, she hasn’t heard from David. Other than a monthly trust he deposits for her, Sophie has no contact with her husband.

Thinking of him, Sophie makes a decision to call him. Upon hearing David’s voice, Sophie loses all of the ‘hard exterior’ she has built up. The last thing she expects from their conversation is for David to appear, but that is exactly what happens. David wants to spend time with Sophie. He has decided that he will no longer accept that Sophie wants to walk away from him. Even though he wants Sophie to come back, David still cannot utter that simple phrase that Sophie wants to hear - ‘I love you’.

Determined not to live with a loveless marriage, Sophie once again tells David she doesn’t want a life with him. Will David just walk away? Will he let Sophie know he loves her before it’s too late?

As the Dangerous Man series comes to an end, fans will appreciate the final installment Serena Grey has written. This was a great short story with a wonderful ‘wrap up’ to the series!! Thank you Serena Grey for allowing me to be a part of the journey.

**I received an ARC from the author in exchange for my honest review, so here it is.**
Sophie left David two months ago and the pain of not being with him is unbearable. She has moved to Bellevue and works at a t-shirt shop. Always trying to keep her mind busy so as to not think about David. Because when she starts thinking about him, the pain comes back tenfold. With Sophie's love being so strong and David not loving her, she tries to move on without him. He is still putting money into her account but she doesn't want anything from him. When she calls and tells him to stop putting money in her account he wants to say something but Sophie realizes that it was a mistake to call him, she can't function even from the sound of his voice, she hangs up without waiting to see what he is going to say. Will Sophie give David another chance or will she move on without him? Can David get past the hurt from his past and get Sophie back? This is the end of a great series, A Dangerous Man. If you are looking for a series that will pull you in and show you raw emotions, then this series is for you. I loved it! Great job Serena, looking forward to your next project!

The beginning of the book was a little slow in the beginning but it definitely picked up and I really enjoyed it. Love hurts and I just wanted to grab Sophie, shake her and tell her to get over it but it’s not that simple. In this book Sophie is the character that every female can relate to in one way or another. She’s miserable without David, unsure of where they truly stand and the choices she’s made. David is giving her the space and time she wants but he still keeps an eye on her. All Sophie wants is David to love her as his wife and when he says 3 words shocking both of them he runs away afterwards. Sophie wants answers and only David has them but is he willing to give her what she wants without her constantly seeking it. I recommend this book to readers who are looking for a steamy romantic read that makes you wonder if love really conquers all. This series is definitely worth reading.

This was the best book of the series. Not just because you find out what happens but the way it was written and the progression of the story was played out best.

Sophie has come full circle. The once naïve girl starts to come into her own. She's made friends, and establishes a life. For someone that was locked up under lock and key by her aunt under such a strict upbringing to see her develop into a mature adult doing what she has to to survive was encouraging. You see her work through and discuss her emotions as well as delving into David's too. This couple really comes into their own and the ending was perfect. Even until the very end you are learning what made these people the way they are and why the journey was such a crazy one. I thought the author may fall short since it was such a short series and as I counted down the pages to the end my concern was growing, but then in one split second she was able to pull it all together. All I can say is kudos.

This marks the ending of a great series. I had my doubts about David but he definitely redeemed himself and Sophie deserved no less. Leaving him for the two months was the best thing she could have done for their relationship and I never thought she would be bold enough to offer him a divorce and put him on the spot to say he did not want a divorce. Her attending to him when he was sick just shows the type of person she was and the love she had for him and he definitely took notice. His mom is a despicable person and I am glad he took the time to explain to Sophie how he was affected by his Mom. Even though the book was short, Serena did a great job wrapping it all up in this last book and you will finish feeling like the know the whole story and you will definitely understand David and understand why Sophie loved him so much. Thanks for a great series Serena.

I'm a little bit saddened that Sophie and David's story comes to an end. But at the same time it also made me smile because in the end they both got what they deserved. I've always loved and adored both of them from the very beginning of their story. Their chemistry was very strong even from the very first time they've met. I loved how the story unfold, it had an edge to it that keeps you guessing. Once I started reading Surrender I can't put it down. I read it in one sitting. That's how much I enjoyed the book. I wont say much about the book as I don't want to give any spoiler at all. All I can say is that I love the story from start to end. And it was an amazing conclusion of Sophie and David's story. I absolutely loved it! It's a must read book!!!

David that man has issues but I'm glad Sophie is finally growing some balls and standing up for herself, "you can't keep sending me money." I say abruptly, forcing all the yearning and desire from my mind. "I already told you I don't want anything from you." And David I think in this installment is actually hurt by Sophie not staying from home and he hides it by being snippy and hurtful to her, "and this is why I finally got a phone call from my darling wife," he says, with a hint of sarcasm, "to be accused of paying for sex, in addition to my other crimes." It was bittersweet seeing Sophie and David's story end but I enjoyed reading about them even though David needed a swift kick in the nuts every once in awhile.

Oh how I loved this story it was short but one hell of a love story....in this installment Sophie has to learn to become more independent and live without David only if she can stop thinking about him so much.

I really thought Sophie grew a lot in this last installment, I don't what to give anything away but David became the man I thought he could be... All I can say is I just really suggest you read all the installments to this series the Dangerous Man it is truly worth your time!!!

As the Dangerous Man series comes to an end, fans will appreciate the final installment Serena Grey has written. This was a great short story with a wonderful ‘wrap up’ to the series!! Thank you Serena Grey for allowing me to be a part of your journey.

ARC received in return for honest review.

FINALLY!!! We got to the bottom of David and I finally liked him...

Sophie and David have split and she is, unsuccessfully, trying to move on with her life. Sophie has a new job, a new apartment and new friends but still finds herself constantly thinking of and missing David.

What I really liked was that we saw David fighting for what he wanted and showing some emotion. He's willing to fight for his woman but does he love her or just want what he can't have? Sophie also seems stronger now and is a much better character because of this.

This is probably the first time that I genuinely wanted Sophie and David to get together as we saw so much character development. The plot moves at good pace and the ending was fitting of the series.

I received an ARC copy of Surrender for an honest review. I have also reviewed Rebellion book 2 and Claim book 3. This book was one I was looking forward to for awhile, I was not that impressed with Claim but I enjoyed this book. We start off where claim left off with David and Sophie still apart. Without giving anything away this book gives the final pain and growth that brings an end to the story of Sophie and David. This was a fun yet quick read that will make reading the whole series worthwhile. It gives a good rounded feeling to the end of this series. I cannot wait to see what Serena writes next and I hope to keep getting ARC copies.

ARC LOVED IT!!! Serena Grey does it once again. Should Sophie take a giant leap and follow her heart and go back to David? Or should she break it off and ask for a divorce and "get over him"? All of your questions will be answered in this final installment of A Dangerous Man series. With a little competition and a lot of ground to make up David has a lot of work to do if Sophie is going to takes him back. David is used to getting what he wants, can he keep it this way?! Read Surrender and find out!!!!

Though this story was a short serial story. I enjoyed it! I'm glad Sophie took a stand and stood up for herself though the story! I'm also glad that David finally admitted his true feelings for Sophie.

Overall this was a cute story and kept me interested! I would like to take the time and personally thank Serena for sending me an ARC copy for all the books. Thank you! I enjoyed them :) keep writing girl! I'm definitely reading what ever you write!

I received this ARC from the lovely author in return for an honest review, so here it is...

3 stars!!

A really good closure to a sweet story.. though I'd much rather have read all 4 books in quick succession rather than far apart.

Nice writing. Flows smoothly. A very happy ending (which I really loved).

All in all, I'm thinking the whole series (read together) can be 4 stars :)

I'm thinking, good job, Ms. Grey, and looking forward for more work..

Cheers!

Lovely ending for a good series.

I loved that she left him. The time-out help him sort out his feelings for her. Sophie needed to grow stronger, even if she just realized that her feelings for David were strong and wouldn't be forgotten any time soon.

I enjoyed this series a lot. the four books are short and very well written. You fall for the characters and feel their love and pain. And the epilogue.... AMAZING!

This whole series was such a blast to read. I knew from the first book that the series would be REALLY good, and I was right. The epilogue had me in tears and I told my friends about how it made me cry and what a good series this was. The author is truly great for coming up with such a story, I just really loved it. Most stories get interesting after a while, but this story had me from the beginning :)

Sad to see this series end. David and Sophie had their ups and downs. In this one she fought hard to stay on her own and she did until she broke down and called David and things start to happen. David trying to tell Sophie something but couldn't get the right words out. She been alone for so long that she just wanted to belong to someone and be there everything, but she has hope for David.
