A clear, solid introduction to the office and role of a deacon. Two points stuck out. First, he does a good job exegeting Acts 6, which many deny is the beginning of the diaconate. I think he proves his point that this passage at the very least is the seed of the diaconate. Second, the way he compares and contrasts deacons and elders is helpful. As an elder I grew in appreciation for my office, but also for the office of deacon.
