Jordan loves vampires. But if you know anything about Jordan, you already knew that detail. What you didn’t know was it wasn’t long ago that she began writing about them.

A few years back Jordan received a copy of Twilight from her husband as part of her anniversary gift. By the end of that week she’d read the entire series and moved onto Anne Rice’s Vampire Chronicles. Eight weeks and eighteen vampire books later the idea for her first book, Perpetual Light came to her followed very quickly by Eva Prim.

In April of 2014 Prim & Proper, the second Eva Prim Novel released. Also available are The Demon Mistress, the first Eva Prim Novel along with four short stories. For continual updates on Eva please join the Snack Of The Week Club at www.evaprim.com.

In August of 2014 Jordan released the first novella in the Romance In Central City Series, Her Vampire’s Promise. Novella two, The Vampire’s Partner follows in September and A Vampire’s Passion is the October Release. Novella four, His Vampire Past is set for a November release.

Jordan is a member of the national Romance Writers of America organization and several chapters.

When she’s not writing about one vampire or another Jordan enjoys spending time with her husband, Ken and their lovable Labrador, Dino on the beautiful beaches of New England.

Let me state this on the record before adding a caveat: “The Vampire Hand Guide: Tips, Myths, & Advice” is one of the best reads I've had so far this year, and one of the best independent reads I've had in the past 10 years. The writing is clear, concise, well-edited, and knows how to toggle between “fun” and “seriousness”. Written in the first person, Vampire advice blogger Eva Prim provides some guidelines for the “newly converted” vampire.

The caveat. The short story in question only takes up 38 of the 78 pages of content. The rest – slightly over half – are previews of some of the author's other works in the series. I certainly would have preferred more original content and less promotion for the author's other works in the series. I believe that the actual “how to” guide could have been expanded out at least a little without appearing to be padded.

Caveat to the caveat: The book is free in most e-formats, and my physical copy was provided free of charge in an online contest. SO, I didn't pay for the promotional material, and neither will the other readers, meaning that neither you nor I can complain we “wasted our money on a commercial”.

RATING: 5 stars.

DISCLOSURE: I won a physical copy of this book in an online event. An honest review was requested but not a condition of entry or of prize acceptance.

What a cute novella! This short and funny read will have you laughing aloud. The Vampire Hand Guide isa must read for anyone considering becoming a vampire, or who has been turned recently. With useful information on all things vampy, including dispelling myths and tips for today’s vampires. There is also a section that discusses some of the reasons you should or shouldn't make the choice to become one of the undead, assuming you actually have a choice.

I like the author’s sense of humor. The character telling the story is Eva Prim, who is the main character in her own series. She has a website where she is answering questions from readers about vampires. She is snarky and witty, and she very obviously doesn’t like stupid or whiny people, whether they be vampires or still human.

This hand guide is a good lead in to the Eva Prim Series. I have read the first chapter or two of The Demon Mistress, so I don’t know how much is included in that book. So I would read it first, unless you really want to wait until after book one.

Jordan K. Rose gives the reader an idea of what to expect from her vampires. Authors tend to try to give their vampires each something unique, so you don’t always know what you are going to get. This guide gives you an easy breakdown of what Rose has created in her vampy world.

I received a copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion and review.

Wow! Fascinating Book, at Times Humorous, and Overall, Entertaining, While Being Educational!

If you wanted to be a vampire, or hoped to remain human, while spending time with any vampires, this would be required reading. It's informative, educational, and quite often, humorous, with information occasionally dispensed with tongue- in- cheek. I would call this the essential vampire educational book, as told with a smile. Everyone with a night job could benefit from reading this book. I enjoyed reading this book, very much.

I haven't read much Eva Prim, but this is a short and funny little novella. It goes along with the whole idea of her blog in the first book so I would suggest reading that first (it is 1.6 after all). But it isn't really necessary if you just want a laugh or even an idea of the tone of the Eva Prim books.

Granted you'll probably have to read the other Eva Prim books to get some the humor in this, but nontheless many laugh out loud moments. Not your average vampire, but one that reads more like a contemporary.
