Hunted: an Introduction to the Binda Universe
Etano Teramis Kal is a CAPDIV Agent, tasked with bringing elusive criminals to justice. When he suffers a tragic loss in his personal life, he sets out on a journey of revenge, determined to dispense a personal form of justice. Using his metaphysical abilities, Etano must track down the person responsible before his fellow CAPDIV Agents can find the offender. Along the way, he uncovers a secret that has been hidden for thousands of years.
Psience City is a world inside a bubble, floating aimlessly through space. Every citizen of Psience City has metaphysical abilities to some degree, able to manipulate either the minds of others, the physical world, or time itself. When a child is born without abilities, they are 'cleansed'. Psience City is a highly functional, efficient, and dark place.
Hunted, at approximately 10,000 words, is technically a novelette (long short story? short novella?). It is complete within itself, having a complex plot and rich characters. Fragile minds and fragile lives in a fragile world… Brett Kiellerop gives us a glimpse of the past that created this world inside a bubble. And then takes you back to the present on a rollercoaster ride of life inside this bubble. Life that is still human still faced with great personal tragedies that can overtake everyday lives. Brett also hints at other worlds inside other bubbles, worlds that need to be visited and explored. I hope that this story is the first of many stories that Brett will share about the human experience in this vast universe.

Captivating futuristic adventure - a telepathic cat and mouse game with twists and turns that push time boundaries. A well written, cleverly conceived piece. I'm really curious about the rest of this series. What realms will it create for readers to delve?
