Mother Doreen has left New Day Temple of Faith in Malvonia, Ohio and moved to Kentucky to help her diabetic sister. Her sister’s husband, a truck driver, pretty much lives on the road. Mother Doreen feels in her spirit that she’s needed to intervene on her sister’s behalf, especially when the assistant pastor of her sister’s church seems to be there just a little bit too much. Naked & Exposed,
Mother Doreen knew that she had a mission in Kentucky. Her sister was sickly, her husband was on the road and something about the way the assistant minister hung around her sister, Bethany, didn't fit well with her spirit. As Doreen makes it her business to be in the mix of what's going on, she just may not be hearing precisely what message God is trying to give her.
Tamera is excited about the way in which her relationship with Maeyl is growing as well as the reconnection with her mother. That is until her mother decides it's time for Tamera to forgive her brother. If that weren't difficult enough, it appears Maeyl has a ready-made family. Tamera has already been down this path with her ex and she refuses with the next.
Unique cannot understand how pastor saw fit to appoint Lorain as the new leader over the Single's Ministry. Sure the male membership increased, partly because Lorain 's skirts were too short. Lorain tries unsuccessfully to put Unique in her place. She may be a Christian, but surely a mother with three children and three different babies' daddies needs to spend her time worrying with her children instead of what Lorain may or may not be doing. When pastor decides that Lorain and Unique should work together, they constantly find themselves on opposing sides. As Lorain learns to soften her heart some, she finds herself covered in the past.
'Been There Prayed That' by E.N. Joy is the second book in the series. I'm finding myself rejoicing in the word right along with these characters as they try, stumble and learn. I love how the story deals with being conflicted, forgiveness and just when you think they got it, drama!
Now I spoke on the many, many errors featured in book one. While book two was better, to my dismay, the book still has errors. (Ex.: break used instead of brake, misspellings, missing words and the wrong name used.)

E N Joy never dissapoints. This is the second book in the series and as always, it was great. A very well written story as always with a christian theme throughout the story. Great job as always.

While there were grammatical errors and even a character name mix up, the story was so compelling to me. The messages in the story hit home for me allowing me to self reflect. A great follow up to She Who Finds a Husband and I'm looking forward to the next installment!!!!

This is book 2 in the New Day Series. The author penned a great story. The ladies have experienced being hurt, loneliness and they are afraid to communicate their feelings. This was a very touching story.

This was great book for the second book in the series. It is showing how these ladies in the series keep their faith no matter the adversity. They are teaching me how to trust and depend on God.

Been There Prayed That is the second book in the NewDiva series and can you say Drama filled . The men and ladies of New Day Church has always got something going on, but I guess that is the way it is, because if everyone’s as not nothing to go through we would not need our faith or need to believe in God. This book deals with a lot of realistic issues going in the world such as un forgiveness, child molestation , adultery, abandonment and self doubt. I am really enjoying this series.

Divas need love too!
After reading book one of E.N. Joy’s ‘New Day Divas’ series and coming away with a healthy dose of spiritual laughter, it was only natural that my expectations for book two, ‘Been There Prayed That’ was to be nothing less than gratifying.
Engrossed in another tale from the New Day Temple of Faith, the ladies of this church treat us to another look into their lives. On closer inspection, some surprising secrets that were buried for far too long have now surfaced, putting strains on relationships and having the ladies calling on the higher spirit for serious guidance.
Tamarra and Maeyl have come to a road block in their relationship, now that Maeyl’s past has made a surprise visit to the church and he feels he should do the right thing. But where does that leave Tamarra?
Taking over from Mother Doreen, Lorain is now the new leader of the Singles Ministry to the dismay of fellow member Unique, who feels she can be a better leader. It becomes quite clear that these ladies have an obvious dislike for each other. Sensing this, the Pastor assigns both Lorain and Unique to work together on projects for the Ministry, to the dismay of both ladies! Shall we say…let the games begin? LOL!
Mother Doreen is in Kentucky helping her sick sister Bethany whose husband has to be on the road to make a living. Mother Doreen becomes suspicious of daily visits from Pastor Frey who prays with Bethany and basically keeps her company. Is Mother Doreen being over protective of her sister? Or are her suspicions correct?
A smashing follow up to book one ‘She Who Finds a Husband’ and I can vision this series being made for TV!
‘Been There Prayed That’ is spiritual, emotional, funny and dramatic! The characters are forced to take a good look at themselves and sometimes question their own motives. I loved how Lorain and Unique locked horns and although their sarcastic ribbing was hysterical, the outcome was a deep revelation that they both needed.
Mother Doreen means well, and is a hoot! I love her! She’s got jokes for days! Loved the twist in the story at the end, both Mother Doreen and I didn’t see that coming!!! ♥

This was a very good book, at times both tough and tender. The characters were everyday people that I could relate to, and their adventures were easy to relate to as well. The entire book was a reminder of the things we all do that let God into our lives or "block our blessings". I highly recommend to anyone going through a hard life situation that needs a reminder that "if He brings you to it, He'll bring you through it."

Mother Doreen connects with Pastor Frey after she was drawn here to take care of her sister and trying to find out what was happening between her and Pastor Frey. Are you confused yet, get the book and read it. Find out who Doreen 's sister pregnant by....is it her deseased husband or another man? Boy does this book keep you going the entire time.

I read at the end that she considers this book as "Church Fiction" and now Jessica Ann Robinson made "Church Dramedy" instead of Christian Fiction. I wonder why people want to make fun of the church and the dramas that go on and this book definitely did that!

I really like E.N.Joy. At times it takes a while to really get into the stories (slow read) but they are good, enlightning and inspiring. Packed with really life issues the author succeeds once again in taking us on another journey in the lives of characters we have grown to love (or dislike).

I think that E. N Joy did a wonderful job of bringing the stories of New Day Diva's to life. Joy did a great job of bridging the ladies and making the ladies relatable and real. I will definitely be reading the entire series and look forward to it!!!

Great follow up to She Who Finds A Husband!! Entertaining church drama that's a page turner from beginning to end. Friendships and relationships are tested. Secrets are revealed, the past is made present, things happen that you never expected. I recommend this read.
