The One Year Daily Acts of Gratitude Devotional: 365 Inspirations to Encourage a Life of Thankfulness

Rate this book
What might happen if you and your family found ways to be thankful every day?

Most of us admit to being overworked, hurried, anxious, lonely, and battered by uncertainty. We want to be thankful for all that we have, but the chaos of our lives holds us back. We know that experiencing gratitude can reduce our stress, lead to a happier home, and make us feel more optimistic about ourselves and the world around us. Yet our ability to be grateful often ebbs and flows. When life is good, it’s easy to feel grateful, but when life is full of hurts and challenges, gratitude takes a back seat.

But the hope of more—more peace, more Jesus, more appreciation for the people in our lives that often go overlooked—keeps us trying to find ways to be thankful. In The One Year Daily Acts of Gratitude Devotional, through relatable stories, encouraging Scripture, and reflection questions, we are invited to shift our focus and increase our gratitude.

Each day this year, find easy-to-do ideas for incorporating gratitude into our lives and uncover the good that God was doing all along.

God's mercies are new every morning, and this devotional is a wonderful way to remind me of that. I enjoy reading about what the authors are grateful for each day. It reminds me that I, too, have much to be grateful for. The scripture verses prompt me to look deeper into what the Bible is telling me about gratefulness. An easy to read, 365 day devotional that will lift your spirits.

This book was just what I needed right now. Being a new widow, sometimes it is hard to find things to be grateful for. Things seem gloomy as though everything in life seems to go wrong. The book blurb for this book truly tells it all. When we reduce our stress, things can be better and this book is just the thing to help you slow down, relax and realize despite some of the trials we may be experiencing there is still much to be grateful for. The book reminds us that God is still there looking after us and helping us by seeing to our needs.
The book has stories, scriptures and little reminders of what we can do to show out gratitude to God. These reminders helps me to put things in perspective and know that my Heavenly Father has not forgotten me as I help others as well. I often feel that we are His Hands here on Earth doing good for others. I love how this book helps me to ponder on these thoughts.

I received a complimentary copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Just in time for the holidays - this book will prepare your heart and mind for the busy season ahead. With intentionality and heartfelt honesty, Julie, Kristin, & Kendra lead you on a journey through their own personal stories while offering encouragement and wisdom for better living. In a culture that celebrates over-indulging, a sense of entitlement, and trying to fill the void in our hearts and souls with the endless "more, more, more", this book is a refreshing reminder that being thankful for what we already have is truly the way to live a better life. Appreciation, thankfulness, gratitude...hope in the eternal...this is what will fill your heart and mind with peace and hope especially as we approach the holidays ahead.

I love that this devotional offers simple daily reading for any time of day and also an action step that helps you live out what you learn. Thank you so much, ladies! A very inspiring read!

Using this "Gratitude Devotional" is truly something that a busy woman could easily include in her daily routine. For as little as couple of minutes, you will find something to meditate on whenever you get a chance throughout the day - whether it's solely the simple read through of the one page meditation, or continually going back to the day's devotional in passing when you have a few minutes.

Each day you'll find a scripture verse from the Old or New Testament, less than one page story or devotional reading, and an action, which could be a short meditation, something to do, or even just thanking God for something He's already done.

I hope that by using this devotional I will be weaving gratitude into my life so that it's automatic.

A daily dose of thankfulness…

My daily quiet journaling and Bible study time includes noting at least three things I am grateful for. So when I discovered this book of daily gratitude readings, I suspected I would find it a wonderful addition to that practice.

I was not wrong. Each day includes an applicable scripture verse, an inspirational reading and a suggested act of gratitude to focus on. The authorship of the readings rotates among the three writers of the book so the reader is exposed to different viewpoints and experiences.

If you are looking for jumpstart to your attitude of gratitude, I suggest you check out this book.

I am thoroughly enjoying this book!
One day at a time I can add a little something more to remind me to be grateful and add gratitude to my daily life.
I have enjoyed each of the books I have gotten from these girls and feel that what I have read and put into practice in my life has only helped to make my life more Christlike and joyful.
You won’t be disappointed if you buy this book. I bought two since I want to give one as a gift!

This is an interesting devotional. I wasn't sure if one could create a year-long study on gratitude. While the book doesn't draw me closer to God, it does offer a daily challenge to a specific way to choose an act of gratitude.

I appreciate that aspect of it. Gratitude is key to my life, and a source of constant joy, so I was interested in seeing how this devotional would affect me. I think it is opening for me new venues of active gratitude.

this was part of my morning intentional time with the LORD in 2024, and it was a perfect start to prepare my heart for writing five great things to be grateful for, mediating on scripture, praying, and reading the Bible. Highly recommend it! Blake would even partake in this part of the morning too, I’m going to re-read it in 2025 and try their Daily Acts devotional books. I’ll be waiting for an “Empathy” one too!

I received a 90 day sample of the book and I am so enjoying this devotional! The format is like other devotionals from these authors and it is perfect for me. It is a page a day format that contains a bible verse, a short story and a simple suggestion for "Today's Act of Gratitude". The stories are relatable, meaningful and inspiring. A couple favorite devotionals so far have been "Rest is a Gift" and "The Miracle of Lasts". This is an encouraging daily read and I highly recommend it!

I have not finished this book yet. I normally will not post a review until I finish the book, but this one is different. The One Year Daily Acts of Gratitude Devotional is made to take a year to read and can be re-read every year. It is a beautifully written page-a-day book on being grateful. Each day has a bible quote, a story, and then a daily act of gratitude. I am so thankful to have won this book and highly recommend it to anyone who is looking to have a better life.
