When Carl’s ex-wife, Tania discovers he is being blackmailed by a mystery woman from across the Atlantic, in connection with his illegal handling of rare bird’s eggs, she begins to see him in a new light. Even more so when she probes further and realises just what form the blackmail is taking and how she herself can benefit from the mystery woman’s growing control over her former husband.

Told from the perspective of Carl Lindant, managing director of a going concern worth some £2 million, he has been blackmailed by Mistress Elizabeth, who lives in Dallas, TX. Ordered to visit his ex-wife, he reveals to Tania, the Ex, that he has been placed in a chastity device by his Mistress and ordered to provide service to his Ex.
I found myself wondering about the whole scenario in this tale, as the specific device is escapable and the blackmail is a bit far-fetched. But I did like the subjugation to the two women and the complete takeover by his Ex. I think the book is mis-named. This is not a plea for help but, rather, a description of coerced subjugation. Carl is in the habit of obedience, not resistance.
Recommended.
