Another enjoyable story in the Christmas series.
A nod to a previous book by including the self-centred influencer Elizabeth Trevellian, who thankfully sees the errors of her lifestyle thanks to the charming people she is stranded with when the train they are travelling on is grounded in a small but quaint village. The heroine is Julia who is in need of some romance in her life. Can she find it in this small hamlet where the locals take pity on the stranded passengers and welcome them into their homes?

A fun, light read - I would say beach read except it's a Christmas story!
Once again this original author shows his unusual imagination, giving us a Christmas story like no other. Some great characters, a location that is easily imagined, and plenty of twists in the story so I was kept satisfied. Some oddball characters, and great furry sidekicks.
If you like reading things that cheer you up, then try this! You won't be disappointed.

This was an adorable quick Christmas read. So very typically British it had everything in it. The miracle of Christmas was everywhere in this 4 star story. Sweet story line, great characters and I am definitely becoming a big fan of C. P. Ward. No real character to boo at because the Christmas spirit worked and it was all very wonderful. Little bits of humor and a few little lessons learned but in a very subtle way, this cute book has me in the holiday mood.

2.5. FMC is 35 YO & never been married. Train taking her home for Xmas has to stop in a small town due to snowy weather. Book goes into her interactions with townspeople & fellow passengers. A bit tedious at times & FMC acted immature with regard to MMC. Just OK. First time reading this author. May give her another try.

I listened to A Train is Late for Christmas, written by C.P. Ward and narrated by Penny Wyatt-Gold. It was okay, but I found myself unfocused at times. As a result of her train trip being delayed due to a snowstorm, the protagonist spends time with other train passengers and with the people who live in a new town. This causes her to view life differently.
