How to Let God Help You is a spiritual classic that speaks to today's readers. The book is composed of selected portions of Myrtle Fillmore's most inspired writings, published articles, and lectures. Mrs. Fillmore's ideas spring from her realizations of God is always available to help with your every need, and through development and righteous use of your God-given abilities, you will express your unlimited divine potential as a child of God.
Myrtle Fillmore dishes out metaphysical advice as we can imagine our mothers would--with grace; occasional gentle humor; and, always, no-nonsense maternal wisdom.
I wish I could give this 3.5 stars. "Healing Letters" will always be my favorite of Myrtle's. I would have given it 4 stars but it didn't connect with me as much until the second half of the book. I always feel a kinship and a connection to Myrtle when I read her writing as if she is talking directly to me, and I am always comforted by her words, affirmations and proclamations of the goodness of God through Christ.
I only read the first six chapters and then skipped around. I just couldn't get into this book. It has a great message - you create your reality with your thoughts. The sections I read, Myrtle quotes biblical proof that you are what you think. Sounds very much like Science of Mind thinking. Good messages - I just did not care for the style of writing.
