Working for a racing star isn’t a bad gig. Illegally tattooing wings on his back in order to get the job is where it gets hazy. The possible consequences if Vid is ever found out are not something he likes to dwell on too much. That is until Mateo crashes into his life. Literally.
Mateo is a mess. With a capital M. He’s fresh out of a one-sided mating, with a daughter he has to put first and a sense of guilt that’s threatening to swallow him whole. He’s not exactly what anyone would call a catch. No wonder his mate took one look at him and bolted.
Fate has decided they belong together. Will their decisions keep them apart?

I can't really believe that I have to say goodbye to this series now. It certainly wasn't perfect, and every book was written according to the same pattern. But I loved every single character, and it's a little hard to part with the Krilla...
As for this book, it was painful from the start, but at the same time, I was smiling the entire way through. Mateo and Vid are two interesting characters, though perhaps a bit too superficially portrayed. But that's not a complaint. I was well entertained, and that was the most important thing. The little family the two of them create gave me a lot of pleasure. And the appearances of Rio and Fire were simply awesome.

A bubble gum-colored swirl of color rushed by, and Mateo gasped as Piper slammed into the crowd, elbowing her way to the center of it until she was the one hugging Vid around the knees, glaring at everyone around her.
His heart jumped at the sight. At the meaning of it. Piper was staking her claim on Vid. Making sure people knew she had more right to be close to him than anyone else. It made him warm. Made him hopeful to see she was latching onto Vid instead of seeing him as competition for Mateo’s affection.

I was so happy to get another book in the Inescapable series by A.M. Rose. This series as a whole has been great actually. I really liked Mateo and Vid. It was beautiful how much they cared for one another, even though it took Vid as a human longer to come to terms with it all. Mateo was so patient. He was always trying to make sure Vid was happy and content. He put his needs first because that's what a true Krilla mate is supposed to do.

Mateo's daughter Piper was such a cute character. I loved how at first she was super protective of Mateo, but then slowly began to spread that protection to Vid. She claims him as her own as well and it was so lovely seeing the three of them become a family. I enjoyed seeing some of the past MCs in this one too. I don't know if this is the last in the series as there was no mention or teasers of another, but I'll be keeping an eye out for what this author duo puts out next!

Although I really liked the characters, the relationship and the cameos from previous couples.. I just couldn’t really get behind the plot around the one-sided mating.

Mateo’s best friend sees him as her mate, her family ended up taking him in so even though he didn’t see her as his mate he decided to try it out. I can understand this part but knowing she wasn’t his mate and still choosing to have a baby even though he’s dreamt of a life with his real mate, it just sounds like prolonging a problem that is destined to fail. And it does fail, the start of the book is his break up and his previous mate suffering the effects of mate-rejection. It just feels like it would’ve been so much kinder to not have built a family and a relationship 🙈 but I guess if this whole thing didn’t happen they might have never crossed paths with their true mate but it just made the story feel pretty depressing for me, for all parties involved 🥺

Vid has a BIG secret.. that he tells to a child and surprise that child shares the secret, who saw that coming 🙈

I did love Vid & Mateo tho 🥰

Enjoyed this installment of the series and how it dealt with both a one sided mating, and a human mate, plus there's a kid involved!

I think this was the most complex of all the pairings so far as there were so many factors working against them, but Vid and Mateo complemented each other really well.

Really hoping this isn't the last of this series because I would LOVE a book about Speed and the mate who knocks him off his perch!

I think I would kinda like to live in this world ' now and going forward' as it is made to seem positive changes are happenign and the speciests are being pushed down.

This is the story of fated mates with Vid, a human and Mateo, a Kriila and the troubles they face.

This was well written and a great continuation in the series. I loved Pip and it was great to see previous characters again.

I have loved the world building from A.M Rose for this series and the characters we have met. This book has the tough scenario of a one sided mating, where one feels like they have met their mate but the other doesn't and considering how strong the mating pull is, it's an awful thing to experience. Along with being the one who didn't feel connected to Helen, his daughter's mother, Mateo literally runs into his mate who just happens to be human. This has recently happened to the Council Leader and is less frowned upon but the elitist Kriila community will not be changed in a day. Vid works with the racers, ensuring they are fit, healthy and safe but it was not something a human would have been allowed to do, hence the illegal tattoos to make himself appear to be Kriila.
The couple have a lot to work through, with Mateo's troubles with Helen, Vid's big secret from the world, and Vid not feeling the intense and instant bond to Mateo. The light of the story is Piper, Mateo's daughter, who Vid is helping with flying lessons at the local rec centre. I really enjoyed the development of the relationship, how Mateo takes the time to let Vid make his own mind up about them, regardless of possible future pain for himself. He's going through so much at the moment, feeling guilt about both Helen and Piper, out of his depth with work and parenting, and then meeting his mate who doesn't feel the strong connection he does. He has lighter moments, the man is extremely inept when it comes to DIY with entertaining results (see epilogue) but Vid finds it totally endearing so all is not lost. It's an interesting read with the two different sides of mating when one is Kriila and one human. Vid takes everything in stride, knowing he feels something for Mateo but definitely nowhere near the scale that Mateo is on. He also has his secret to consider, with Kriila/human matings so rare, people are bound to talk and he can't afford for that to be revealed considering the possible ramifications still set as law.
It's an emotional read for these characters, with a lot of happy sweet and hot times but there are some tough moments too, and not just for the MC's. Piper and Fire are the light relief throughout and bring entertainment to the story. I hope this isn't the last we hear from this world that the authors have created, it's been such an enjoyable world to fall into with a different species and social standings than you may expect.
I received an ARC and am happily giving a review.

An interesting spin on the fated mates trope.

When Mateo, a divorced single father and a walking disaster finds his fated mate by crashing into him on the street, it seems like a perfect meet cute. It's not. Vid, a human sports therapist working with Kriila racers, doesn't feel the same kind of instant pull toward Mateo and just leaves him in the street, standing like thunderstruck. It takes a second meeting and some very necessary explanations for them to just try dating the human way, even though neither of them is really in a place to start a regular relationship, let alone one as complicated as this. Vid is breaking all kinds of laws and taboos by pretending to be a Kriila, and Mateo is juggling parenting and work while dealing with fairly disastrous results of a one-sided mating. Something clearly has to give.

What I liked about this series in general and this book in particular is how the authors handled the fated mates trope. Quite often the fact that the characters are meant to be together is used as an excuse to skip relationship building in favor of other plotlines. That's very much not the case here. Bond is a story about actually building a bond, not relying on fate and instinct to create something out of nothing, especially when the other person is not feeling it.

Another great thing about this book are the characters, though as much as I enjoyed Vid and Mateo, who are very sweet and wholesome together, Rio and Fire were the ones who really shined for me. They effortlessly steal the show every time they appear on page and their every interaction is a sheer delight. I'm not a fan of kids, but other readers might enjoy Mateo's daughter Piper, too.

On the whole, it's a nice conclusion to this engaging series. While the ugly aftermath of a previous relationship gone toxic and loads of misplaced guilt and mental trauma made the story feel pretty heavy at times, there's also a lot of cute, sweet or funny moments, plenty of love and comfort, and the hard-won HEA, so it all balances out in the end. It's more family drama than I usually like in my books, but fans of angstier stories will certainly enjoy it.

ARC provided by the author, I have chosen to read and write an honest review.

Maybe The Best One Yet

I’m so sad this series is over! I’ve loved it so much and very nearly gave this book five stars. The entire series has been so great and I still cant get over how fun it was while also having some really interesting and deep storylines.

Vid and Mateo were great characters. I found their relationship and dynamic so interesting. We already had a Krilla/Human pairing in book one but this storyline was so different. I loved the entire background of Mateo and his one sided mating. I felt so bad for him when he thought that’s what Vid was doing to him but when the two finally figured stuff out they were so sweet. Piper was a lot of fun and a great addition to the story as well. Single parent storylines are always one I fall in love with and this was no different.

My main reason for not giving the book five stars in the end was because I couldn’t get over how much I disliked the storyline of Vid’s secret and that he told Piper. It’s one thing to show how he feels conflicted lying to her and making a plan for when he can reveal the truth, it’s another to have a storyline where two very considerate and smart characters make the decision to tell a child a huge secret and then expect her to keep that secret from her other parent! I couldn’t get over that. I get that it fit to the drama and the overall way the plot played out, but there is no scenario in my mind where the two MMCs we spent an entire book getting to know, are somehow supposed to be the type to put that kind of pressure on a five year old. I can’t believe for a second that they would expect her to keep that from her mother and neither would think twice about it.

Despite that big curve ball, I did enjoy how everything played out and we got a big finale with basically every character we’ve gotten to know in this series. I so wish there were more books but for now I’ll just have to settle for planning a reread of the entire series very soon.

Tropes: Fated Mates, Human/Krilla Pairing, Single Parent, Hurt/Comfort
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4/5
Spice: 🌶️🌶️ 2/5

**Possible Spoilers**
Bond is a beautiful conclusion to the Inescapable series. I do believe it's the best of them all. I enjoyed seeing characters from previous books but getting to know Vid and Mateo was a special treat.
First of all, I liked the underlying stories for both Mateo and Vid. Each gave insight into their inner strength and drive, pushing them to reach for something they needed to have a full and complete life. Both circumstances are understandable yet a source of great tension as their story progresses. I could feel it buzzing in the background throughout the book.
I was quickly caught up in the domestic situation Mateo was struggling through. There were many times I wanted to grab him up and hug him and protect him and help him through to better times. But I wanted to do that with the other person, too. It was a compelling storyline that carried a lot of pain and very little satisfaction for either of them. Well, except for Piper. I love that little girl. She is intelligent, loving, and lovable (and a bit of a terror to those she perceives is a threat to those she holds most dear). She is a fighter and a nurturer. I wish I could see how she turns out as an adult. I bet she could conquer the world.
And Vid. He is such a good guy. His decision to pursue the one thing he had dreamed of doing took courage, and he had a stoic acceptance of the consequences if he was found out. I didn't want to hug him so much as I wanted to stand up and fight by his side.
I was invested in Mateo and Vid right from the start. Their visceral connection is only a part of what makes them a perfect couple. The give and take and the openness between them hit me right in the feels. With that and the other things happening to them and around them...I felt all the emotions.
Folks, this is an excellent read and a beautiful love story. Fated? Yeah, maybe. But it’s so, so, soooo much more.
I’m sorry to see the series end.
I look forward to more from this author.

This series is so amazing and I do recommend reading it in order because the previous couples do make an appearance and a few things build on each other. It's not 100% necessary but I think it'll make the experience better. I loved Vid and Mateo and this was a really good story with a bit of drama towards the end. There's also a bit of miscommunication between these two while they feel each other out. Some of it is due to the differences between Krilla and humans and the other is due to them being different people. It's probably one of the less spicy stories in the series but there are lots of intimate moments. Mateo's confidence is really low when he meets Vid and Vid has been hiding parts of himself from society due to certain circumstances. I love that these two are super supportive of each other and still give the other space when needed. I would've loved to have more scenes/description of Mateo's wings. They were definitely lacking here while we get quite a bit of Piper. Vid's family is amazing and I love the relationship he has with both his sister and his mother. This was a lot of fun to read and I'm sad that the series is wrapped up as I love the world these authors have created. I can keep hoping for a spin off of more of the racers. I think that's one of my favorite aspects of this world!

First book I read in this series and it stands alone really well. It explains the world, species, and enough background information that anyone going into this book for the first time will understand.

Mateo, a Kriila, is such a huge klutz and has the worst bad luck, ends up being run into by Vid, human in hiding because he's a sports therapist for the Kriila and you can't be a human for that. Mateo recognizes Vid as his mate, but because Vid is human, he's unable to tell or reciprocate, so they slow "date" by human standards. Even though it's a medium spice for heat level, it's pretty much insta-lust for both of them at first sight (though they don't act on it yet) and eventually turns to love.

Loved Vid finding Mateo's clumsy self endearing and Vid always coming to the rescue. Their interactions, especially with Mateo's 5-year old daughter Piper, was so wholesome and cute. Piper was written like a 5-year old and not like a precocious matchmaker that some books try to make children out to be, and it was very refreshing to read.

This was so good, I couldn't put it down and finished it in 3 hours. I'm gonna need to go back and read the past few books because this world and all the side-character cameos (that are from earlier books) were so fun to read about.

It is coincidence that several of the series I enjoy reading are all coming to an end. The most recent is Bond, the last in the Inescapable series by A.M. Rose. The authors have done a good job of giving us not just another love story set in the Kriila world, but writing it to mirror the first book in the series. Vid, a human, has done a lot to get his dream job of sports therapist, which is usually only for Kriila. Then he bumps into Mateo, the father of one of the Kriila kids Vid helps with as a volunteer at a gym. So, similar to the first book in the series, Vid winds up paired with Mateo Since humans don’t feel the mating pull, there is a lot of confusion for both Vid and Mateo until they talk to the most likely person to understand. One of the fun things about the last book in a series is a glimpse of all the previous couples and Bond is no exception. While I often want a series to continue, Bond is a great ending to a fun world. Some of the plot twists are easy to see coming, but the book satisfactorily brings Vid and Mateo together while moving the Kriila culture further toward equality between Krilla and humans. Good end to the Inescapable series.

I've really enjoyed this series, and am sad that it's come to an end. This one has a great twist and really captivating story line. Vid and Mateo are perfect for each other, ( the chemistry between them positively sizzles 🥵). However, Vid is a little nonplussed when Mateo claims that he is his mate! This takes us back to book one, which also had a human/Krill bonding. I don't want to go into detail and give away any spoilers, however, the main characters do face making what could be some heartbreaking decisions. At one point it appeared that no one would be getting their HEA, it seemed certain that people were going to get hurt. It was interesting to read about the difficulties these problems caused Vid and Mateo, and their way of finally getting around them. Vid comes across as being a real hero, he takes things in hand, and is prepared to sacrifice himself if needs be, to sort out a certain future for himself and Mateo.I especially enjoyed that we got to see Fire and Rio again, still winding up each other, organising and putting themselves out for their friends. This was a thoroughly absorbing read, which ended up having a real good feel good factor

“You feel right,” he whispered into the tiny space between their lips. “You feel inevitable, inescapable. Like I’ve waited all my life to meet you and now that you’re here, it’s all lined up.”

This story broke my heart into tiny pieces and then put it back together again. Vid and Mateo’s relationship is complicated. Vid is actually human, pretending to be Krilla. Mateo is getting by, struggling to be a co-parent to his little girl Piper when his ex is fighting him every step of the way and making his life miserable. I do not like Helen. She is manipulative and mean and Mateo lets her get away with it out of misplaced guilt. Even after the ending, I still don’t like her. Bit she is important to Piper and I can respect that. Much like Vid does I suppose. I have loved this whole series but this one hit me like the first one did. I couldn’t put it down once I started and I was desperate for these two mates to find their happy ending!.

UGH! The last one in the series, darn it! I have really enjoyed this whole series, great imaginative worldbuilding, great couples. And Bond wraps it up with a big pink and blue bow. We get another one sided mating like Kirian and Jude, Vid with illegal wing tattoos and Mateo, single dad with imperfectly cute daughter and a bit crazy ex. Vid is the physical therapist for the star racers so we have met him before. Mateo bumps into him, and the bond clicks for Mateo. From there we see them struggle with what it means for the two of them, being in a relationship while being a dad. I would consider this a medium angst story between what they are going through on a personal level and outside pressures. The smexy times feel organic without overwhelming the narrative. Our MC's get help from Kirian and Jude, Fire and Rio, Bellamy and Zero (NL story) with a great sense of family. I really liked Piper, Mateo's daughter, the Roses have made sure she is not one of those cloying perfect sunshine and daisies kid. She is cute but whiny, loving but clingy, trying to be cool but loving her stuffies, so basically a normal 5 year old. Well, with wings! Can this be a standalone, it could be but I think your read would be so much more if you have read the previous books!

I loved this latest addition to the series. Okay so Mateo is a Kriila who walked away from his daughter's mother because he knew she was not his mate but did try to make it work. Helen was hateful and made his life a living hell. Vid is human posing as a Kriila because he would not have been able to work as a physical therapist for the racers. He is also Fire's BFF and Fire knows his secret. Vid had wings tattooed on his back to pose as a Kriila. It's against the law to do so. But Mateo knows something is wrong as a Kriila knows right away that they have met their mate. I liked the fact that Vid told Mateo right off the bat what was going on & that Mateo was understanding. This was not an easy road for our MCs to get to their HEA. I am really hoping this is not the last book in the series, but if it is, then I can't wait to see where our authors take us from here.

I received a copy of this book from the Authors in exchange for an honest review.

Vid and Mateo’s story covers a spectrum of moods and emotions— there are some lighter moments and some heavier ones, as well as an insta-connection (Mateo is Krilla and recognizes Vid as his mate, Vid is human (that’s a whole other thing) and can’t automatically recognize the same) that underpins the developing relationship. There’s some sweetness, a bit of heat, and lots of feelings. The characters, main and supporting, are interesting and well written— even Mateo’s young daughter feels like a real person as opposed to the template of assorted precocious child traits that sometimes shows up in romance novels. The world building is also super interesting (readers of previous books in the series will find lots of familiar elements and faces, and while this relationship can stand alone, it’s not a bad idea to, if you enjoy this story, to check out some of the preceding books as well).

This book was an absolute delight to read. The book was well-written and had genuine emotion and connection. The MC’s had an instant connection and their chemistry was amazing. Each of the characters had issues and trauma to overcome, and the story had me on the edge of my seat waiting for the conclusion. You could tell how much they were attracted to each other from the start and then after they met again when they allowed themselves to feel something real. Mateo’s daughter was such a spitfire and so sassy. She stole my heart even as she stole Vid’s. And I loved to despise Mateo’s ex-wife, but I was so glad that she found a real mate and that all was forgiven in the end. This is the fourth book in the Inescapable series and while you can read this book as a standalone, I highly recommend reading them in order, as there are some great past characters in this book.

I'm a fan of these authors'work from the beginning which started with their Daydream series. The worlds they create are always imaginative and unique, their stories are a bit angsty, emotional, although realistic, with great character development and laced with humor. I was sad when Daydream ended as I am now when I have to say goodbye to Inescapable series. It's a great ending though. Vid's and Matteo's story would be easily written as an usual contemporary story and would be a good read, but in Kriila world there's added tension, questions and risks that could stand in the way of their relationship. The development is so realistic, with all ups and downs, doubts, questions. What I liked especially was how Piper, Matteo's daughter was described - probably the most realistic 5 year old I've ever read in any book and so much fun. Just a little tidbit that I enjoyed from the start of the series - most of you are probably not avare where the naming Kriila came from. It sounds great in English and it actually means wings in my language and in the first language of one of the authors.
Honestly I can't wait to find out what this author duo will come up with next.

Bond by A.M. ROSE

Imagine bumping into your true mate and he runs away without noticing you. Heartbreak for Mateo is probable. Mateo and Vid are in two different worlds, yet keep meeting because of Mateo’s daughter. Mateo knows Vid is his mate, but Vid has a secret that could destroy anything they could try to build. This is part of a series, and the dynamic of this story brings old friends back into the story so you can touch back on previous books.

I enjoyed this book. Mateo’s steadfast certainty that he would never leave Vid gives Vid a chance to really be seen and to blossom with the comfort of Mateo’s love.

A sweet read, but I recommend starting with the first book of the series, so you can meet the other characters in this story.

and Vid makes three!

Piper and her dad Mateo definitely stole my heart in Fire and we all know Vid could use some love and attention so I’m SO glad we got this story. I love how precious and careful Mateo is with his new mating to Vid so he doesn’t overwhelm him but we knew about his longing and ache. Vid wasn’t far behind though and the way they came together was beautiful - even with Piper stealing her daddy’s attention back at every turn!
The backstory and plot with Piper’s mother was so compelling and I’m glad it was tied up nicely.
As in the rest of the series, I really enjoy reading more about the politics of this world Rose has built for us and loved the cameos from past books, especially Jude and all his animals. Can’t wait to see if Piper becomes a famous racer!

This story was wonderful and full of angst, fear, joy, and happiness that made me not want to put it down. This is Vid’s story and how he found his mate by accidently bumping into him one day. This is also Mateo’s story as he maneuvers his ex-wife and tries to protect his daughter from the backlash of a broken bond. I loved this story and I know you will too. I’m also sad since I believe this is the end of this particular series and I’m so sad to see it end. The authors did a marvelous job with the entire series, and I can’t wait to see what is next. From the Daydream series to the Krilla world these authors have drawn me in and captivated me with their stories. Loved this book and highly recommend you dive into the Krilla world and be swept away!

Bond - Relief, Peace, Hope, Love

“You feel right,” he whispered into the tiny space between their lips. “You feel inevitable, inescapable. Like I’ve waited all my life to meet you and now that you’re here, it’s all lined up.”

Oh the FEEEEELS in Bond, book 4 in A.M. Rose’s series!

Vid is a human illegally masquerading as a Kriila, with tattoos of wings that do not exist. Able to hide in plain sight, as a physical therapist to the ACE racing stars, his world is turned upside down when he literally runs into Mateo, a single father.

Mateo has been struggling emotionally, since leaving his wife because they were not true mates. Soft-hearted and kind, he loves his daughter Pip, and will never do anything to hurt her world, but finding his mate is human is hard work, as he tries to hide his Kriila tendencies of immediate protection and love.

These two go through so much as the cling to their hopes of becoming a whole family, and they are lucky to have famous and affluent friends, who have had their own struggles, helping them find their HEA!

“Knowing you now, even if it were a choice, I would have chosen you.”

I really enjoyed this book. I read the previous books in the series, so I was happy to get my hands on the newest addition. Great world building and wonderful characters. I really liked both Mateo and Vid and the dynamic between them. I also liked Mateo's daughter, Piper. I tend to be less enthusiastic about [already existing] kids in romances, but I liked her in the picture. I also liked the supporting characters. When Vid told his family about Mateo, the protective threat made me laugh.

“I think you’ll look cool with a d!ck on your forehead.”

I was happy to see some familiar faces from previous books. This book was a journey, and I couldn't wait to see how it would turn out. 4 stars

the Real Pull of a Mating Bond! This last installment of the series takes the unique chance of really exploring what an interspecies mating could truly feel like. With the mating pull so powerful for Matteo, but not really there for Vid our human. Although it was heartbreaking to see all the emotions Matteo tried to hold back, the end result felt to me like it was such a more real and true love. I adored Matteo's daughter, and she definitely brought the heartfelt feel of family and happiness to the story. This was the perfect wrap for the series with our guys popping in but I would totally love to read more in this world!

I have read the whole series before this and what I really like is that they flow into each other but the books are not clones of each others, the stories are all very different with a well crafted world and compelling characters who you want to know more about and who you are rooting for.

This book was probably my favourite from the series as I found both characters really interesting and I enjoyed that they were a bit chaotic.

Overall another well written, engaging book from A M Rose.

an intriguing alternative universe society that has humans an inferior species with lesser rights than the winged Kriila

the connections and complications between mixed species bonds and mates are many and fascinating, if sometimes disheartening

love the determinedly athletic little girl who wraps everyone around her fingers and sometimes graciously takes them into her heart and her world - she is fabulous!

intense and enveloping life, love, friendships, family and relationships.

This is a very sweet story, and the main characters are likeable. Both Vid and Mateo are sweet and perfect for each other, but they have to overcome some issues to achieve their HEA. I liked reading about them, but I must recognise that what I enjoyed the most were the recurring characters from other books, specialley Fire and Rio, who I find utterly enjoyable.
I received an ARC and this is my voluntary review

I am in love with this series and these characters! Mateo and Vid are no exception. They’re adorable and sweet and just so wholesome. I especially loved how Vid found Matteo’s clumsiness endearing, and how he took his time wooing Mateo the “human” way. Once again, the storyline is rich and well written and the world building is fantastic. I felt like it was an immensely satisfying and well executed end to the series. A reread for sure!

Vid is a trainer for Kriila racers, he is human but only a few people know. He also volunteers at a center that helps kids learn to fly. Fire his main client is one of his best friends and a celebrity racer. Piper is one of his students at the center and daughter of Mateo. Mateo is an accident walking, if anything can go wrong for him it will. This book is sad, funny and has lots of drama, but ends happily.
