In 1916, the USDA published Bulletin No. 404, a report on using hemp hurds as a paper-making material. The bulletin proclaims “Without a doubt, hemp will continue to be one of the staple agricultural crops of the United States.” The report also warns “Our forests are being cut three times faster than they grow.” It finds that (over a 20-year period) 10,000 acres of hemp can produce the same amount of paper as 40,500 acres of trees. The test results are so favorable that USDA Bulletin #404 is printed on paper made from hemp!
"The Gospel of Hemp" explains why a crop that was hailed as a "one of the staple agricultural crops of The United States" in a U.S. government report was deceptivley made essentially illegal in 1937. The time has come for America and the world to correct this deception and injustice for the future of our planet.
I am pro hemp and marijuana cultivation ! Unfortunately, not only do I live in a shitty state but also a shitty country. They know the facts and thanks to the history and brief profound knowledge you've shared in your book they are more than aware. I will continue my research and studies and will join forces to bring forth prosperous change to our hemp and marijuana democracy. If you haven't already, start a group or community for fellow pro -hemp supporters. Thank you my friend. Piece and Love.
This short book emphasises the importance of hemp and it's potential to provide the world with a vast array of products that would benefit the planet as a whole. I was inspired, and it the injustice of restriction around hemp production is something that HAS to change if we want to solve the problems our environment faces not only now but also into the future.
My only complaint would be that the book was not longer! It was such an informative and entertaining read that I was disappointed when it finished. This is not a book trying to influence you to become a "pot smoker". It is a history of the hemp plant, its properties and the reason those were attacked and criminalized. I highly recommend this book for anyone to read.
This is by far the best book I have ever read on cannabis/hemp. A wealth of knowledge and collective information on hemp industry and legalisation. I am know the true history of hemp. Please read! Save the 🌎!!!!!!!
Wow... I am completely mind blown of how much this book has educated me on the history of hemp. Users of marijuana, I highly recommend this read. Non-user of marijuana, I highly recommend this read.
I'm an activist and huge supporter of cannabis. I'm also a former addict who was able to get clean with its help. I agree with the author, this plant could save our world.
Even though I knew most of this book's contents already, I did learn a few things. This is an excellent resource for someone who wants to learn more about cannabis but doesn't have time to read some of the giant books available on the topic.
I'm glad I came across this book, I'll recommend it every chance I get. And if you're reading this review from Florida, please sign the Regulate Florida petition over at www.regulateflorida.com to join the cause.
The author references Jack Herer's seminal book quite often. I felt that my money would have been better spent on his book. If you can get it in the lending library, it is a good single session book.
I believe this book to be enlightening and move modern civilization further into the 21st Century, using new methods and ideas to fix old problems in society

I wish everyone in America would read this and understand that they have been lied to by the media and the government for years. There is so much good that could come from re-legalizing hemp. Educate yourself and then try and educate others!
Truly I've thought of writing something exactly like this. Looks like I won't have to now. Great read, will definitely be printing these and handing them out to people!
This book was informative. Not here say, but actual facts and history. Very eye opening read. I especially enjoyed towards the end of the book, where he shows how the reader turned believer can make a difference in the world. How to go about contacting government officials. I recommend this book to anyone, especially those interested in environmental change.
