"I am a child of God," is a constant plea of child or adult yearning to be taught - reaching for knowledge, hungering for reassurance, striving toward perfection with the hope of receiving gentle encouragement along the way. Who will teach them? How will they find their way? That primary responsibility is placed by divine decree with parents. My hope in sharing these cherished family experiences with you is that you will discover your own strengths from the past and increase your sensitivity to the daily experiences which will supply the opportunities for your future.
Sis. Kapp’s book reads like entries from a (maybe) too-flowery journal. She shares reflective memories from her childhood and beyond. Her echos remind me somewhat of my own growing up and the wisps of tucked-away adventures and feelings of my youth. This book allowed me to spend some hours in a simpler time, and I felt like it was time well spent.
