Growing up in a toxic environment and moving from one unhealthy relationship to another taught me that life was far from a fairytale. But books gave me solace and hope. Among the turmoil, I found refuge in reading. Engaging in stories allowed me to experience different worlds, feel deeply without judgment, and escape my reality.

This sparked my passion for fiction writing. Combining my own experiences with those of others, I create stories filled with emotion and depth that readers can relate to and escape within when necessary. My goal is to ensure everyone feels seen and heard, no matter their background, by weaving universal struggles into purposeful story arcs. I aim to show readers what resilience looks like and that there is always light ahead if you hold onto your courage.

Join me on a journey of personal truth and fictional adventures that offer comfort during tough times.

Hmmm..... I'm on the fence on how to rate and review this read, but here goes. I loved the confidence and courage that Zara displayed by leaving Atlanta when her job and life there no longer served her. Although anxious about her new life in New Orleans, she was excited about the change and the opportunity to explore her poetry. Meeting Mojo was life changing! These two connected immediately and became almost inseparable after that.

Mojo, a talented saxophonist, worked in the bar below the apartment where Zara lived. The way he played was magical and put those in earshot in a trance. His melodies spoke to Zara, and she had to get to know him better. Zara brought Mojo a feeling of peace and became a ray of sunshine in his life. Their love story was swoon worthy and I grinned like a fool and enjoyed every minute of it.

Well, then things went a bit sour for me. That plot twist was just odd and disrupted the story in my opinion. Just as the slow burn love was heating up, a stalker emerges and just turned everything on its head. I loved the first part of the read, but I was not a fan of the plot twist angle.

My Sentiments:

'Barroom Blues: Last Call For Love' was an excellent romantic read as Zara has moved from Atlanta to New Orleans and meets an enchanting saxophone player who sets her 'heart ablaze.' When they finally met, Zara knew she had found someone she might be able to love, and pretty much the same was felt by Mojo.

However, things will change when it seems like a stalker is stalking Zona. But was this true because of what Mojo had received in the mail? Will this friendship become something more as we see more drama, with plots and twists coming for these two?

To get this whole story, you must pick this good read to see how it all will turn out for these two characters.

Wow!

I wasn’t really sure what to expect as I began reading this story I just know that once I got started reading I couldn’t put it down Zara’s determination to rid herself of a life that felt like she was suffocating and leave ATL start fresh in a new city made me smile she was brave. Her leap of faith landed her in New Orleans where she met MoJo ☺️. They hit it off and became friends Neither realizing how their lives would take them down a deep dark hole that would eventually end up with them not only making a difference in the lives of others but adding a special joy to their on lives ❤️❤️❤️

The Things We Don't Know

Amber, interesting read. When I see Zara begin her journey, I knew it was gonna be some twist and turns. And I wasn't disappointed at all. It was interesting seeing how everything played out. Mo never thought he would go through the things he did. I love how Zara stepped up and made things happen.🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗

I don’t know. Honestly had to force myself to finish reading this book. Constantly found myself asking “how did we get here?”

If “here let me just give you a book” was a book.

Great Read!

I was so mad at Shyla, she redeemed herself in the end. I’m happy Mojo found out the truth and Zara was there to love him.
