Alongside The Seaside Ice Cream Parlour, also by Sarah Hope, I was transported to a thoroughly pleasant world for several hours. I almost read this in one sitting, it was compelling reading, I was willing PIppa onwards to success as she endeavoured to establish herself in the seaside community that she'd suddenly been thrust into. I wasn't in her plans, but she definitely tenaciously made the most of the opportunity. I've noticed from this and The Seaside Ice Cream Parlour, that Sarh Hope likes strong women who have a 'can do' attitude despite adveristy and tough situations. Thoroughly enjoyable read.
A decent feel good book. A few loopholes and bits that needed tying up at the end and I felt the end needed another chapter really to neaten it up but it was a decent read and ill probably try others by her.
These are definitely my type of books, easy to read with a main character who needs a change of luck. I love the escapism and thoroughly enjoyed this one. Easy to finish in a day.
Audio-Booked it. I appreciated that the book was more than romance, but that’s also what annoyed me. Ha! I don’t feel like the MC had enough character development to merit an entire book.
