I just love this authors writing:) This is the story of Parker & Lily. It is a great story of how two broken hearts meet through tragic circumstances & helps one another heal.
Devon has a great way in her writing of grabbing your attention & not letting go until you have read it all. I was lucky enough to beta read this story. I crave Devon's writing. I'm so glad to see she is busy writing more. Highly recommend this read:)
Devon Youngblood has done it again, released another heart stopping, breathtaking, not much sleep! Book. This had me up last night to the early hours trying to finish it. In the end with only 20% to go I had to reluctantly go to sleep. I have sat down now to read how its ended.
Two people coming together in the most unexpected way, who would have thought it? Well.....Devon Youngblood did, that's who! I just knew there was a little more to her crappy Dad Tony, that came out near the end. Thanks go to one of my top 50 new authors of this year, Devon Youngblood.

Review: I was given a copy of Bare Hearts by Ashley’s Reading bliss for an honest review. I liked this book. It was good and had drama and tough life choices. Parker has to choose to reenlist in the army or not to. Lily is thrown into a whirlwind and then meets Parker. They share a connection. They are brought together through a tradegy and they hang on to one another while trying to make decisions for their futures. Parker has a secret that could destroy what they have. What will happen? I don’t want to tell you or ruin it so you must read the book. I give this book 4 out of 5 stars!
Bare Hearts ( Book 2) by - Devon Youngblood I was given an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review. This is Lily and Parker's story. Lily and Parker meet under the most tragic of circumstances, in the ER after an accident that devastated both their lives. Lily and Parker have a connection from the start, not only on an emotional level with what they are both dealing with but on a physical level as well. As they work to build a relationship together, Lily's very dangerous past comes back and threatens to destroy everything. "...I want you to bare your heart, mind, and soul to me..." "...You are the reason I don't act so crazy, you are the one who's showed me love, it's you that I see a future with..." Can Parker protect Lily from her father and his threats? Can they move past it all and start a new life together or will the mob take it all from them? Devon Youngblood does it again. She draws you in with love and life and throws in a twists or darkness and intrigue. This is another fantastic read that makes you smile and touches your heart. I really enjoyed curling up with this book and give it a Nerd Alert B + + or 4.5 stars!
Lily is a young woman, who owns her own flower shop. One morning on her way to work she receives a phone call that impacts her life immediately.
Parker has just come home after four years in the army to try and rebuild his relationship with his father. He is undecided about whether to re-enlist or not when tragedy strikes his life as well.
Lily and Parker meet in very unexpected circumstances and fate would have it that they cross paths again and embark on a relationship that is at first bond by mutual grief and support but quickly turns into something much more substantial.
There's some drama to be had with an unwelcome blast from Lily's past and a secret that Parker unknowingly holds, but the couple seem to overcome the obstacles in their path to be together.
I really liked the story line and would have loved more depth and length to it. While I do believe that Lily and Parker have a bond and affection between them, I did find it a little hard to really connect with the two characters, there was just that something extra missing for me between them.
Overall, the book was a quick, easy read that I quite enjoyed.
This was a heart warming and sweet second edition to Ms. Youngblood's Coming Home series. This is Parker and Lily's story of finding love no matter what obstacles or secrets get thrown in your way. Again I love that Ms. Youngblood wrote the story with both Parker and Lily's POV's instead of just one because for me I get a better feel for the characters that way, which I absolutely loved the characters, Lily for overcoming some horrid obstacles in her young life and becoming a better person instead of letting them destroy her and Parker with his wild side, there is just something about a bad boy, yet even though he had a wild and daring side he also had a tender and loving side that really shines whenever he is around Lily. This is a must read and I feel you really don't have to read the first one to understand this one, which is totally another plus for me, this is a must be on everyone's TBR book that I feel everyone will be able to enjoy over and over. So happy reading and I hope you enjoy getting to know Parker and Lily as much as I did.
I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Lily gets devastating news that her mother has been in a horrific accident. While she is in the emergency room, she meets Parker, and while it is only brief, it starts a chain of events, while most unfortunate, that bring them together.
Lily and Parker seem perfect together from the start. But things from their pasts have a way of muddying the waters and making what should be an easy relationship more difficult, especially when Lily's father, Tony, comes in to the picture, making demands and being in the mob, he is definitely a dangerous character.
Through all of their trials and tribulations, they manage to connect, forgive, and move forward with their lives.
I really enjoyed reading this book. The pace and timing of the story was well thought out. I didn't find myself getting bored, but was intrigued with the storyline. I look forward to reading the first book in the series and reading Ms. Youngblood's other works.

I beta read this and book and got an ARC for an honest review, and after reading it about 3 times. It just kept getting better!
I love Lily and Parker.
Life can change in a instant. This book proves it. Lily and Parker were nothing but normal adults, till one accident changed everything. Trying to cope with the lost of their parents, Lily and Parker cope with each other. Parker wants nothing more to protect Lily and even though she didn't want that, Parker wasn't going to back down.
They find love and happiness together.
Really, that's all I wanted to see after what they had been through.
Then Lily got the chance to protect Parker. Just doing that, you can see they love each other...
Doing something that they would never regret, not just Lily and Parker, but her Aunt also picks up and starts over.
Lily's Aunt also plays a big part in this book, she is comical and tells it how it is.
One fateful day, two people meet. They leave such an impression on the other that they can't forget.
Lily and Parker are both suffering a personal loss. They meet while waiting in the hospital, and things aren't the same after that. Parker can't get her out of his mind. Their second meeting is during a gut wrenching moment for Lily.
This story is a beautiful romance for two people that have lived and loved. There's an element of suspense added in as well that brought in an extra layer to the book. This is my first read by Devon Youngblood and I enjoyed Bare hearts, so I'll be looking for other works from her. Parker and Lily bring out the best in each other after their fateful meeting and it was fun to read their journey to an HEA. There's some ups and downs, and even though I saw one major thing coming, I couldn't put the book down. Looking forward to more!
Lily and Parker meet under tragic circumstances and although the odds seem against them at times, they hold on to the attraction that they feel.
I thought the ways in which they kept meeting was great. It was as if it was fate that kept them meeting and pushing them to one another.
As the story continues, other obstacles (Lily's dad, Parker's secret) present themselves and really make Lily and Parker either fight for their relationship or let it go. I guessed Parker's secret early on in the book and wondered how it was going to come out. Devon Youngblood did a good job pulling the reader into the story and making us excited to see what was going to happen next.
I had a hard time really connecting to the characters in this one but the story was solid and I'm happy with the way that it turned out.
This book is very deep (at least for me). There are some scenes that I can relate to very well which made me very emotionally involved. The storyline in general was great. Parker and Lily are developed well throughout the story, don't get me wrong at some points Lily got on my nerves! That's great when an author can make a reader feel those types of emotions. Sexy scenes...ummm yes please. Love them and they are well written as well! I can't wait for more from this up and rising author: 'Devon Youngblood'
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
I loved this story! Lily and Parker meet at the worst possible moment in their lives but something keeps drawing them together. Their perilous road to love almost comes to an end when Lily's dad shows up and tries to pull them apart.
In the end, I loved how their love stayed strong for their happily ever after...
Wow love this book, Lily and Parker are perfect for each other. I couldn't put this book down. I love the plot twist, I was on the edge of my seat wondering what was about to happen. Great book. Highly recommended it.
Lily and Parker both lost a parent in the same accident, although they don't realize that part at first. Then this is where the author goes off track like she did in the first book. I am not sure what the time frame is because it doesn't really explain it very well. It appears that a mere 2 days after they bury their parents they go to an amusement park for a day of fun. I don't know about you but when I lost my parent I didn't want to go out and have fun for awhile. The end of the night they have sex and then Lily freaks and takes off. Fast forward to Lily's dad showing up and you find out he is in the mob. Some of the things he does is really irrelevant until his last stunt. Then out of the blue Lily, Parker and her Aunt are told they need to go into witness protection. Without any thought about her business, her workers, any friends they just decided to go. I can see possibly coming to that conclusion, but not 5 minutes after the offer was made. This is NOT a book I would recommend.
I started this book because I needed a short book to read over the weekend. However, this one was difficult to get through. There were so many grammar and punctuation issues that I couldn't get past. Not only that but the dialogue was awful. It was too cheesy and forced. I didn't feel any chemistry between the characters either, so even though it was a short book, it felt like it took forever to finish.
Lily owns her very own flower shop. Boot many twenty two year olds can say they are successful business owners. She has her things going good for her until she gets a phone call & her mom is In the hospital. While waiting in the waiting room she meets Parker. His dad is in the hospital too. When one accident brings them together is it fate ? Can they survive all the things that they endure
