Great storyline. Errors abound in spelling, grammar, and syntax. I can’t read books by this author anymore. I just can’t take the lack of basic proofreading.
Both Ella and Mia have issues in their personal lives. I find it interesting how the powers that be didn't want to listen to what Ella said. Mia, on the other hand, had a bad penny from her past coming back to cause her issues. I'm intrigued to see if the powers that be change their mind with how things ended.
The crime that Ella and Mia investigated really bothered me. I think what made it worse was these people should have been safe doing their jobs, but someone out for vengeance really did their worst. I did think the big takedown at the end was funny, but not in a good way. I liked how once the person was apprehended they were locked down tight.

Ella is heartbroken, her personal life has taken a downturn she didn't foresee. Mia is also facing demons from her past, but both are called to work on an unsettling case in Atlantic City involving circus/magicians atractions. I enjoyed the plot, how the story was put together, and how many twists and turns the two FBI agents had to work through to reach the culprit. Girl, Betrayed ends with another cliffhanger that got me thinking what will happen next. I thank Ms. Pierce for this ARC.
Decent story line ruined by over-the-top descriptions more suited for romance novels. I didn't like the reader, who sounded like this was her first audiobook job. Whoever edited the book let her get away with numerous jarring mispronunciations and grammatical mistakes.
Every time I turn around, Ella giving these criminals the benefit of the doubt and they turn on her and take her through it! I cannot believe the blast from the past w/Ripley… something isn’t adding up and I cannot wait for it to be revealed!
Twists and turns that had me from the beginning. Blake has a way of writing that keeps you reading and reading and trying to pick up clues before his characters do.
