It's a secret age-gap second chance for Ru and Saint in this twisted jaw-dropping addition to the Steel Roses Motorcycle Club. In a life of sins, secrets, and second chances, is there a line between savage and saint?
Ru
Loving Saint is the worst mistake I ever made. The secrets between us are explosive, and after a near-death experience, I won't be anyone's taboo. He broke my heart like it was nothing, and send me packing to college.
Now that I'm home, my father needs my help at the MC's strip club. I'm the only one who knows how to run it like him, so it should be an easy job. Except the one person I can never tell anyone about, the one person who still holds my heart, is the manager.
Two weeks into the job, I learn there is a thin line between lust and forgiveness, and my clumsy ass keeps tripping over it.
Saint
Touching Ru is the worst mistake I ever made. Her skin is like velvet under my fingertips, and when she moans, it sounds like angels heralding me home to heaven. I love her more than anyone else in this world, but I fucked that up months ago.
Now that she's back, I need to keep my hands to myself. Her father is my best friend, and if he ever found out all the depraved shit I've done to Ru, he'd kill me. I don't deserve her, never have, never will.
Even if the temptation of our sin is greater than it ever was. Even if living without her turns me into a savage.
Jena Doyle writes smut for smut’s sake. No apologies. No shame. And definitely no judgement. When she’s not dreaming up dirty words for wild hearts, she enjoys traveling, binge watching trash TV, and dabbling in tarot and astrology. She holds a bachelor’s degree in English and Creative Writing, and enjoys rambling about Shakespeare's gay agenda.
I didn’t know if it could get better than Crimson Chaos for me, but Savage Saint absolutely topped it (and that’s saying something because i was OBSESSED with Crimson Chaos)
I recommend reading the novella before going into this to get more of a background on Saint and Ru, but I didn’t and I was still able to connect with them both and their relationship (I just wish I would have read the novella first!) The forbidden aspect was just everything. I am a sucker for dad’s best friend romances and the way Saint loved Ru was just pure and sweet. And the spice?! Whew. I love them so so much. I love the plot that’s developing with the MC aspect of it too and I cannot wait to see where that goes.
I just know I’m going to devour the next book (even more taboo) and I really hope she writes 10+ books in this series because I will read every single one.
Thank you to the author for the ARC! After reading Crimson Chaos in May, I have been (not so) eagerly awaiting this one and it did not disappoint. The level of obsession I have for this series is on the same level as Fallen Men and that’s everything I could ask for in a book. 10/10 recommend, please read this series.
I’m so excited to be reviewing another book in Jena Doyle’s Steel Roses Motorcycle Club series! This is one of my very favorite romance series.
Here’s the breakdown:
MMC/FMC- Saint and Ru
POV- 1st person dual
Genre- MC Romance
Heat level- the main couple engages in BDSM activities, as well as more Vanilla pursuits. I think this is done very well. Saint and Ru are careful to negotiate terms and they keep everything Safe, Sane, and Consensual. This book has the hottest BDSM that I’ve ever read, and it’s not about acrobatics, etc. There’s something very hot about the amount of trust they have in each other. (And the scene where she’s making the video for the Adult Website! Rrrowl!) This book is very Sex Positive.
Bonus- link to free prequel
Cover- The book cover is awesome, and I found out that the author designed it herself! (Squee!)
Series? Y
Safety: No Cheating/Sharing, No OM/OW Drama, No S. Violence, No Cliffhanger (although the overall story arc has not been concluded).
HEA/HFN? Y
Triggers- The Biker’s Trifecta (Language, Violence, Explicit Erotic Content), BDSM, Wanton Viewing of the Vampire Diaries.
Tropes- Age Gap, Father’s Best Friend, Second Chance, Forbidden Love, To Sir With Love, Friends to Lovers , Do-Si-Do With the Mafioso, That’s (Adult) Entertainment.
What I liked- I loved this book. The s. tension and chemistry between Saint and Ru is absolutely delicious. And their relationship seems like it would go the distance, with it being based on years of solid friendship. I liked the blend of the romance plot with the overall story arc. The pressure of the feud with the mafia boils over, and it’s exciting and breath catching.
What I didn’t like- not a thing. I don’t think that it could have been better. This is all the best about MC Romance.
Verdict- I’m not going to pull people aside on the street and make them read this book (because it would violate the terms of the restraining order), but I strongly encourage contemporary romance lovers to read this series. If you like MC Romance, you’ll be thrilled. If you’ve never read MC Romance, you’ll be converted.
I received an advance review copy for free and this is my honest, voluntary review.
Finally got to read Ru and Saints story! The Roses are a family, and when you come for one, you’re coming for all. Ru got her heart broken, she’s back in town after college. Saint realizing that he never should’ve let Ru go. But with issues still on the rise with the Caputis, the Roses are being diligent. Just when you think you have something figured out, boom it changes course lol. Knowing Gabriella Caputi is set on getting her revenge, there’s a slight twist in the mix. With a relationship needing fixing, an upcoming wedding, an ambush and plenty of loving to go around, you will not be disappointed. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
I received a free ARC through BookSirens. Let me give you an idea about what I think about this particular Jena Doyle’s work.
I believe it is important to mention that this has been the first time I’ve read anything written by this author. It won’t be the last, though.
The MC’s world is not my favourite scenario and I’m not a huge fan of bikers and their morally (dark) grey way of life. Nevertheless, I really enjoyed Ru and Saint’s story.
There’s some really hot love making scenes (and rough f*cking too). A bit too rough for my taste sometimes… but hot. No doubt about it.
What I appreciated the most was the changes in Saint’s character and what seems to be his way to redemption. Am I wrong? I don’t think so. I really hope Ru and Saint are given a chance to be happy in the future.
I received an ARC copy of this book. Thank you for the opportunity! This was my introduction to the author.
Let me tell you, you will not be disappointed. The book has world building, plot and,of course, the smut. The camaraderie, the MC drama, love-hate relationships and the spice. The characters and complexity of their emotions and struggles were well written.
An age gap romance between a mid 20 something and 37 year old. Well written Dom and brat tropes. BDSM, adult entertainment industry. Forced roommate, boss and employee, family friends. Upcoming weddings, mafia feud.
Would I read the rest of the steel Roses series? Absolutely!
Saint and Ru bring a ton of heat to this book. This age gap story is full of steam, suspense, secrets and so much more. When Ru gets her second chance at her father’s best friend there is nothing, she won’t due to bring Saint to his knees.
The Caputis are still coming for the Steel Roses MC and this bloody feud continues. Lives are lost and vengeance is strong which helped make this a real page turner.
We started off strong with the dedication! And I pretty quickly realized I've read another (the other?) book in this series as well! It was nice to see those characters again. There were some eye roll inducing parts- a character with violet eyes feels very old school fanfic vibes and there was a TON of build up for it to all be essentially forgotten when the characters have sex again. Also, there's a lot of talk of kink and how crazy their sex life was........but from what we see, it's really not that nuts? The ending was weirdly anticlimactic because there's a cliffhanger situation but then an epilogue which took me right out of that last moment. Overall, not my favorite by this author, but not offensive enough to get below 3 stars. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

I didn't think Jena Doyle could get any hotter but oh boy has she. This book is on fire and so steamy and dirty! Savage Saint is the 2nd book in Jena Doyles's Steel Roses MC. This one is an age-gap, second chance, dad's best friend book. Yea, there's so much going on in this one that you won't put it down until you are done. At least I know I didn't! In Crimson Chaos, book 1, we saw Ru learn about having a sister, Alba that she never knew and that something was going on with her and her dad's best friend, Saint. In this book, we get the results of what all those secrets have done and have yet to do to everyone involved. Ru and Saint both have so much going on with themselves individually that there's no way they could make it long-term without facing some of their fears and trying to avoid each other until they are ready to do that. But we all know that never works and Saint is way too tempted by her working as a webcam girl, working with her at the strip club, and staying with her while Atlas is out of town. Being so close to her can only mean he'll give in. Ru shows her age during that time always taunting Saint and flirting with others like Lore who was assigned as her bodyguard but turned into her best friend. Of course, when the enemy finally makes their strike it starts to put things into perspective and you realize what really matters in life. But first, they have to tell her dad Atlas. What can you live without, your best friend or your soulmate? I gave this book a 5-star rating and a 5 spicy rating because of how hot and smutty it was. It's just how spicy I like my books, I never wanted it to end. Jena Doyle definitely gave me my new book boyfriend in leather and I have no problem saying Yes, Sir, being tied up, and whipped as long as he calls me his little sinner. I'll be his good girl! I can't wait for this series to continue with the next book Oleander Oaths which is Selene and Thor's story. I bet that's going to be a good one. Don't forget to check out They Called Him Saint the novella to this book about the night Saint finally decided to give in to Ru. They might have been stuck in a snowstorm but they were anything but cold that's for sure! *I received this book for free. I voluntarily gave an honest review.*
Finally got to read Ru and Saint's story and oh it was worth the wait. It was also better than the first, which 1. I didn't think it would be possible as I loved Crimson Chaos, and 2, Sophomore books in series rarely top the first book.
Ru and Saint have one of the most trusting relationships I've ever read. They are into the BDSM lifestyle and the scenes they create are super charged with eroticism and you have to completely trust your partner to get into that headspace. I loved their scene when creating the online video as that was so dang hot!! And the night that Saint makes love to her for the first time, not just sex, was so well written that you could feel the difference in their relationship through the words.
I had stopped reading the first night to head to bed as it was late and I had work the next morning. However, I couldn't stop thinking of where the story was going to go and how it was going to resolve and if everyone would be okay. In hindsight I stopped at a critical moment in the book and should have kept reading. Instead I got about 3 hours sleep and then woke to finish the book in the middle of the night. That's how good this was ya'll. I couldn't sleep because I needed to know how it ended.
The series arcing storyline is continued in this book and it's not resolved by the end of the book, as there are at least two more in this series, but the storyline in this book is resolved nicely by book end. I loved the setup for the next book in that final chapter and can't wait to read the next one.
This was a really good follow-up to book 1. Book 2 focuses on Ru, the newfound half-sister of Alba, and Saint. We could clearly see there was more than friendship between them in book 1 and this confirms it and tells their journey. There's still a tad bit of the cam girl aspect in here but this couple has their own thing which is more bdsm. The D/s relationship between them added a interesting layer. I liked seeing them overcome their doubts, guilt and other obstacles and find their way back to each other and make their bond stronger. We still are in the midst of the war between the 2 families and dealing with the issues and aftermath of that. Overall I really liked this story and also the side characters. I'm looking forward to their stories, especially Hollywood's who we're starting to see many sides to, and Lore, a new character who seems like a good friend and became a casualty in the war, hopefully we see him rewarded with a hea, I'm also hoping to see one for Aris. Losing Penny is still weighing him and he seems to be in a bad space I want to see him find someone again and get his Hea and also the grandkids he keeps asking for from both Alba and Ru. I was glad to see them both get married and I loved the epilogue, but a bit disappointed after all the breeding/baby talk that there still was no actual baby from anyone. Looking forward to more from the author and this series. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Review: I think this is my new favorite MC romance!! Lots of angst, action and spice. I loved it!! 😜
In this MC story we meet Ru and Saint. Ru is the daughter of the clubs VP, making her an MC princess. Having grown up in that lifestyle she’s a good blend of grit and sass. Saint on the other hand is the dark and brooding biker with a twisted past. He’s also Ru’s dads best friend.
We catch these two 10 months after a falling out and the sexual tension and frustration is HIGH, and hot as hell lol. We also get bits and pieces of back story that help fill in the gaps of how these two fell for one another and how they fell apart. I really enjoyed how the author did that.
While these two are working through their issues the club is dealing with issues as well. The war between their rivals has reached a peak and lives hang in the balance.
This book was a very quick and entertaining read that I very much enjoyed. I’m definitely going to read the next two books that come out next year and I’m dying to get my hands on the novella, which goes into more detail about Ru and Saint’s back story 😍
If you like steamy MC romances, definitely pick this one up 😉
This is the second book in the Steel Roses MC Club series from Jena Doyle and it's a keeper for me! It continues the story about The Steel Roses MC and their war with the Caputi family but also tells the story of the relationship between Ru and Saint. Ru has been in love with Saint for years and for a while she and Saint had a relationship which was very physical and played to their Dom/Sub kinks. There are some very hot scenes! Saint is the best friend of her Dad Aris both brothers in the mc. The book mentions things that happened in the first book so it would be best to read that one first. Their secret relationship raises a few eyebrows in the mc but Ru and Saint hadn't told her father. There is a 15 year age gap between them. Ru helps run the MC's strip club and has plans to change it to bring more money in for the club. Ru and Saint start to get back to the physical relationship they had before. In the meantime the war with the Caputi's kicks up a notch with an attempted assassination. The tension I felt reading about the MC and their enemies was so intense that my Fitbit alerted me that my pulse was too high though I wasn't moving! I really enjoyed this book and am looking forward to reading the next book in the series. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Savage Saint was my first book by Jena Doyle and the first MC book I've read in a while. I loved it and I'm about to one-click the first book in this series because I'm hooked.
This book was the best mix of found family, age gap/father's best friend, some mild BDSM, and some suspense. Of course, being a series centered around a motorcycle club (and organized crime adjacent), there's plenty of murder and mayhem too.
Once I finished this book, I went to check on Jena's backlist and was shocked to see that this is only her 2nd book! The characters are well developed and I'm totally invested in Hollywood and Lore. Thor & Selena are up next and you know that story is going to be 🔥.
In short (not really), pick up Savage Saint if you like protective heroes, sassy heroines, supportive side characters, found family, spicy scenes, and a bit of drama. I've subscribed to Jena's mailing list, am about to settle into the first book in this series, and have a countdown going for book 3.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Ok so fair warning this is catnip and will have you hooked quicker than sugar. You'll be searching for the next in the series I guarantee…… tis the voice of experience here.
This is an age gap second chance romance that will steam your windows and give you the feels. I love me a strong MC story and this is a cut above (pardon the pun for those who know)
Saint and Ru are not strangers having tried in the past to connect but now oh boy do they and the chemistry between them is palpable.
Here is a strong, independent heroine -always a winner with me - and a passionate, possessive hero - ditto. In true MC style we have a mafia link, murder mayhem and drama plus a cast of colourful players that surely deserve their own narrative.
No spoilers, this is a must read. Check out the prequel 'They Called Him Saint'
This is a new author I gather and I intend to fully get behind her. Based on this, she is well worth the support.
Good one Ms Doyle.

I recommend reading the novella for this book to get more of the backstory of these two characters-Ru and Saint-but I did not before reading this novel. This book is your average dads best friend novel, with a touch of Motorcycle club storyline, mix the two together and you get…chefs kiss.
Ru and Saint have a past, struggling to move on from a broken heart, Ru is back in town after college. Ru and Saint are forced to work in close proximities as she is helping her father run his bar while he is dealing with some stuff. Saint realizes he should’ve not let Ru go, with a relationship needing fixing, an upcoming wedding, an ambush and plenty of loving to go around, you will not be disappointed.
Ru and Saint engage in a BDSM dynamic-Brat/Dominant-as well as vanilla aspects. I really enjoyed the fact the author included the important parts of BDSM such as safe words, negotiations, and keeping things safe, sane and consensual. Many books that claim to have BDSM aspects tend to gloss over these parts, and I feel they are truly important for the reader. I did truly enjoy how sex positive the FMC is, and how she was not shamed in any way by any characters including the MMC.
Savage Saint is my introduction to this new to me author and what a yummy introduction! This is a fantastic age gap story that's as steamy as it gets. It's MC meets Mafia at it's best. Saint and Ru have danced around each other for a long while and it doesn't seem like they're ever going to get it together. But when they do it's like the 4th of July they're so explosive. The characters in this book, all of them, are so easy to fall into and the storyline is easy to get invested in. I didn’t read Crimson Chaos before reading this one so I'll be doing that asap and I'll reread this after. I think it'll give a better understanding of some of the dynamics of the story. I'm excited to read more from this author.
This is the second book for the series and the second book I've read by this author. I absolutely loved Crimson Chaos and had my fingers crossed that this one would be as good... Well, I'm happy to say it far exceeded my hopes ;D Saint and Ru are fab together and their chemistry is off-the-charts hot! Their story is an age-gap, father's best friend romance and it was packed with suspense, secrets, drama, danger, action and enough steam to need a fan on high ;P I was totally pulled into their story and loved everything about it. It was too long for me to read in one go but it wasn't for lack of trying ;) Now I can't wait for the next book to come out, with no doubts remaining about how this author can craft an exciting and engaging MC romance ;D
Savage Saint is the second book in the Steel Roses MC series. This book was exciting, gritty, spicy and a page turning and nail biting book. This is a motorcycle club romance with twists and turns. The action and drama had my heart breaking, my stomach dropping and me fist pumping for all the characters in this series.
I loved the main characters they had scorching hot chemistry and I loved the angst between them. I love how the story continues from the first book Crimson Chaos. It keeps me on the edge of my seat waiting to see what was coming next!!! I so can’t wait to read the next book in this series!!! I’m obsessed with this series.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
ARC received through Book Sirens. This in no way affects my review of this book.
Thank you to book Sirens and Jena Doyle for considering me to read the second book in this series.
Jena was a new to me author with the first book in this series, and I loved it. Some stories just grab you and keep you hanging on. This is one of those stories. This is a series, and the continuation of book one, so, yes, they need to be read in order. As with book one, there is a LOT of action, gore, sex. . . .all the things we expect from this genre. The war between the bikers and the Capuldi's continues, and the plot thickens.
I'm really looking forward to the next installment of this tale. I was a little surprised with the epilogue. There's a lot to catch up on, between when the story ended and the epilogue, so bring it on! I'm waiting!
Age-gap second chance with some D/s in an MC - yes please! Daddy's best friend has walked away from the young woman he's in love due to their age difference. But Ru is back, and mad. She's determined to show him what he's been missing. Until he shows her what's she's in for if she stays. Delicious. If you haven't signed up for Jena's newsletter to get the prequel to this series, you should - it is Ru's and Saint's first experience, in a snowstorm on Christmas. Fire. Waiting with bated breath for book 3...Feb 2024.
I enjoyed this, it’s a good follow on from CC and I really like the dynamic between the MCs and I love the development between the rest of the characters and seeing their personalities a bit more. I’m also glad we get to see more of KC and Alba because I just love them 😭🧡
HOWEVER
saint needed to do a LOT more grovelling in my eyes, she lets him back far too easy for my liking… and he doesn’t even say the words ‘I’m sorry’?!?! So he deffo needed a lot more grovelling IMO

Could not put this book down. Start to finish in less than a day while the to do list got evidently longer!
Saint and Ru's relationship is one that is somewhat taboo, but when the story escalates to the "Big bad" you can't help but to feel ALL the emotions and not know exactly which way you want it to go.
My only hesitation on five stars comes from a little "unfinished business." Knowing the story is part of a series makes it forgivable but can't help wanting to have a little more closure around a key motivating factor. At least a hint towards resolution would have satisfied that need.
Saint and Ru kept me glued to the pages with their drama that is explosive, and jaw dropping. They were once in a forbidden relationship and when he left it devastated Ru. Now she is home and helping her father but also has to be in Saint's presence. With all the twists and turns that are happening in this story you are held captive as they unfold. This is a well written story with characters I loved connecting with and cheering on to finding happiness. I am volunteering to leave a review for an ARC of this book.
This is one of the better MC romances I’ve read. I think if you’re going to read about an MC then it should be gritty and reflect the darkness. Doyle does this so well. She doesn’t rely on the spice and the romance to carry the book. There’s a good plot too. You could read this as a stand-alone but i truly think you get a better idea of the overall storyline if you read book 1 first. My only negative is that I wish that Ru had held out for longer against Saint. He needed to grovel more. I am so hoping the next book is going to have angst. I’ve been wanting this couple since Crimson Chaos.
Saint has been in Ru's life most of her life. He is her dad's best friend. They talk daily, they text, and they care for one another, but Ru loves him, not like an uncle. She wants him as a lover. Their lives began to change with everything happening at the MC & her going to college. She has great business sense and takes over the Beacon. Tragedy strikes the club, Saint & Ru are among the injured. Will they find their love? Read this well-written novel. Enjoy! 📚🎉❤️🌻
MCs are one of my top favorite tropes. This one is right there being really good. Saint and Ru had known each other for a long time and had eventually started secretly seeing each other.. but of course that didnt work out so they split and then they were shoved together and they decided they needed each other so they decided to not hide anything this time and even through tough times they came out the other side with each other by their sides.

Savage Saint by Jena Doyle is a good, and enjoyable BDSM father’s best friend age gap friends to lovers motorcycle club romance read. The story has a great entertaining world building story line. The characters are great, and they have great chemistry. This story is a very entertaining second chance page turning romance read.
