Fields of Glass, the final installment in the Prescott Family Romance series, is an enemies-to-lovers romance that is at the same time lighthearted and serious. I enjoyed getting to know Micah and Grace, as well as the sheep (Olive is so sweet) and Callie's honey bees. The setting was very peaceful, but Micah's poor farm sure took a beating over the years.
The book contains genuine humor, realistic problems, believable solutions, and likable characters. As always with Alyssa's books, the beauty and history of Colorado is set center-stage. I was a little surprised by some of the technical descriptions in the book. The author either has experience or did her research, and I learned a few things.
Faith, trusting in God's plan, is a key element, and I feel that their faith arcs were believable. I connected more with Grace's than Micah's, but he also came to a satisfactory end. The romances are sweet and clean, kisses only.
My only complaint is that there wasn't enough of Caden and Callie's story near the end. It wrapped up mostly 'off-screen' and not in their POVs. I would've preferred to see that happen from their POVs rather than Micah and Grace's. However, the main story is about Micah and Grace, so readers should focus on that.
I recommend Fields of Glass and the rest of the series if you enjoy clean, dependable, faith-based romances that are NOT overwrought/ridiculous, make sense, and leave you feeling content with the journey and the outcome. I'm looking forward to seeing where Alyssa goes next!
