JB Sharp’s second novel of the Stars Align series. It can be read as a stand alone, but why would you want to miss out on Book 1? 🙃

The story begins with Ella’s jerk of a boyfriend breaking up with her for being “too serious about love”. Did I mention he broke up with her over FaceTime? Yeah, jerk. Anyways, he breaks up with her right before what was supposed to be their 2 week trip to Costa Rica. For Ella the plan is simple, go on the trip and forget all about him.

Darren hasn’t traveled since he returned from his deployment, but when his little sister needs help with a destination wedding she is doing the flowers for in Costa Rica, he doesn’t think twice about helping her.

Ella and Darren meet in the airport, and he quickly goes from stranger to lifeline for Ella. How soon is too soon for a rebound? Especially when everything he likes about you are the things your ex hated?

For anyone who’s ever been told you are “too much”, this one is for you.

When I say you cannot put this book down, I mean it!! 3 hours start to finish 😱 Nothing more enticing then a book about summer love. Not just any summer love either…. The kind you fantasize about, the kind that melts your heart, and the kind that makes you drool 🤤 JB Sharp has done it again and I can’t wait for what is next 🩵

We met Ella in “Love and Horns” and I absolutely loved her energy. She’s so quirky and honestly that’s one of my favorite qualities in a FMC. Ella has a shit boyfriend who dumps her right before a trip they had planned together. Ella decides to go on said trip alone because why the fuck not. Ella meets Darren at the airport and his first thoughts of her had me laughing so hard. They just seem to fit together like peanut butter and jelly. I liked them separate but I loved them together. I love when the MMC never gets good sleep because of past trauma or in this case war but when he’s with her he sleeps so good 😭😭 There is no 3rd act and that is always refreshing. I did feel like the book ended abruptly and wanted a little bit more. Out of this one and book 1 I have to say the first book was my favorite. BK is grumpy and Darren is just a sweetheart of a man. Darren and Ella were made for each other 💕

Another can’t stop thinking about it, can’t put it down kind of books! J.B. makes you feel like you’re in the midst of vacation right along side of the characters. My only complaint, is that I wanted more!
