I got pregnant from a one-night stand. I didn't know he was an NFL star.
He had my attention the moment he walked in the bar, drawing the eyes of every woman in the room.
With a face chiseled by the divine, We locked eyes and knew exactly what we wanted.
Our chemistry was dangerous, His touch intoxicating.
By the end of the night, he dominated my mind, body and soul.
We agreed, no strings attached.
Two months later, I'm his new team doctor. I didn’t know he was the infamous Max Donovan.
Our encounters are a potent mix of desire and disdain. But beneath the animosity is an undeniable attraction
The more we bicker, The quicker he breaks thru my panty's defenses.
Neither of us sees this going to the end zone. But that’s when things get complicated… And I may have just fumbled.
The nausea I’m feeling isn’t because I’m sick, It’s because I’m pregnant and he’s the daddy. I got pregnant from a one-night stand. I didn't know he was an NFL star.

I'm giving this 2 stars because it's not atrocious, but I was really leaning towards 1.5.
I've decided I just really need to stop reading books like this. Maybe I need to blacklist certain booktubers who think these types of books are "good" reads?
So, first thing - Natasha Romanoff? Seriously? If only this book character was as awesome as the Marvel one! I couldn't stand Natasha. First off, she was cold and uncompromising. She's a doctor, but seems completely incapable of taking care of herself (mental wellness, physical wellness, etc). And, she's going to have a baby? Good God!
And then there is the age thing - both Matt and Natasha are constantly referring to their ages or thinking about their ages. Either Natasha is crying "poor me, I'm 25 and finished med school early but no one sees me as a doctor" or Matt is thinking "I'm 35, I'm old, I need to retire soon, but what am I going to do with my life?" (and, then we get about 1 page of his decision to retire and just be a dad to his kids... like, that came the last 20 pages, no build up to it or anything).
And then the scenes where it feels like the author just threw something in to try to create "drama" that honestly didn't work at all - like the whole ex wife scene, claiming Natasha was a homewrecking whore who was sleeping with her husband. Seriously? Was that just added for dramatic effect? Serious eye rolling during that scene.
And, for Natasha spending most of the book not wanting anything to do with Matt, she sure changes her tune the last 15 or so pages of the book (like insta-love, living together, all is right in the world, HEA... when there was no real build up to her even having true feelings for the guy).
I almost just dnf'ed this at 65%, but ended up just skimming the last sections (because, really, you can just skim this book and get the basic story). All and all, this book just felt rushed a bit lazy with the writing, the story, and the characters.
This was a single Dad enemies to lovers sports romance.
Natasha Romanoff is a recent medical school graduate. She grew up in a series of abusive foster homes. She wants to work in a hospital ER, but her young age is holding her back. She takes a job at the Seahawks training camp for 2 weeks.
Matt Donovan is an NFL star wide receiver for the Seattle Seahawks and a single Dad. His ex-wife was a gold digger which influences his attitude toward women.
They met in a bar two months before she graduated and had a hot hook up in his truck in the parking lot. Two months later they meet again in training camp. He immediately thinks she lied about knowing who he was and gives her a hard time causing the team doctor to lecture her. They hook up a few times during training camp, then he overhears her telling her friend Krystal she is pregnant by him. He goes ballistic. She is offered a permanent job as an assistant doctor (glorified intern) by the team doctor who was the one to tell her she was pregnant. She accepts though she really doesn't want to but needs the money. Matt wants to co-parent and help provide for the baby and has to work hard to get her to agree. They catch feelings for each other and get their HEA.

Matt and Natasha meet one night at a bar and have a spicy encounter in his truck in the parking lot. Matt likes his one night stands because they don't expect anything from him later because they understand what it is - one night and that's it. Natasha is finishing medical school and wants to work in an ER but is having a hard time getting the job because she's so young. She takes a 2 week internship of sorts with the Seattle Seahawks. Imagine her surprise when she runs into Matt there because he's their wide receiver. He's shocked to see Natasha as well and angry because she must have known who he was when they hooked up and now she's harassing him. He's a single dad because of a "gold digger" and so he's wary of everyone now. Eventually, he accepts that she didn't play him. Natasha is offered a job as the assistant to the team doctor and she and Matt hook up a few times. He overhears her talking to a friend and saying that she is pregnant. Again, he is certain that she's just trying to trap him and get at him money. She doesn't want anything from him and tells him to bug off basically. When Matt stops to think and not be angry, he realizes that he really likes Natasha and wants to try and see if they can start a relationship. He has to work really hard to get her to agree, but eventually she does. There are a few more stumbles, but then they get their happily ever after.
Such a good book! Jake is a single dad and handsome football player considering when to retire. Natasha fought through a life in abusive foster care to complete her medical degree years before the average student. She and Jake connect after a chance meeting in a bar. Fast forward a few months she has graduated and has earned the title of Doctor. She is disappointed that no one was interested in hiring her due to her age except for an NFL team in training camp. On her first day she is doing pre practice checks and wouldn't you know it, Jake is one of the players she has to check. However, he refuses her attention as he feels she is not qualified. They get into it a little and he storms off to see someone else. She is taken to task for the disagreement by her boss and given a warning. They bump into each other again and he wrongly accuses her of knowing who he was when they hooked up. She isn't a sports fan. He is still stewing about her which affects his practice. There is a lot of action the further the book evolves including her personal history. He finds out from her friend what she has gone through as she tells him off good including how he almost cost her her job. To say he was shocked is an understatement. I recommend that you read this book to find out what happens next including some spice and of course there will be drama several times over!!!

This was One Night Stand, Sports Romance, Workplace Romance, Close Proximity, Single Parent and Surprise Baby Trope.
This book was emotional as 2 people have different issues. 1 with trust issues due to ex and another with trauma from Foster care. I really liked Natasha, she was strong and knew what she wanted. Matt was a wonderful Single Dad but he was quite Grumpy and very suspicious of women. He likes his one night stands as it stops them from hurting him. So when these two meet, both just want fun. But their connection is fire and both were left with a lasting affect. Then she finds herself working as his team doctor. As they both clash at every sentences, their bodies do too. But there is drama with trust issues which leads to heartaches. Read and find out if they can have that HEA? Can Matt move past his insecurities and keep the best thing to happen to him? Hot and steamy with some Drama.
Natasha has just finished medical school and is looking forward to becoming an ER doctor, but age isn't on her side, so she takes a job working with the Seattle Seahawks. She first connects with Matt two months before she graduated and had an intimate hookup. They meet again at the training camp, and he immediately thinks that she lied about knowing who he was. As time goes on feelings begin to grow between these two but his first marriage gives him pause when it comes to women. Will Matt let his ex-wife come between what he can have with Natasha. This story had me all caught up in it cheering for Matt and Natasha to get a chance for happiness.

Matt and Natasha meet in a bar and shared a heated night together. Now months later she is working on the team and Matt doesn't trust her. Matt wonders if she lied to him and this leads to them arguing and her getting into trouble. Its not long before they are hooking up again. However, this time comes with consequences and after how he has treated her Natasha isn't that open to being around him. Can he show her that he means it about how he feels? Can they be parents together or will they end up co-parenting?
This is a great story that will captivate you from beginning to end. This is a well written and very entertaining story. Its a book that any book lover would enjoy.

This is the story of Natasha and Matt. They already have a history together and Matt has taken a beating with his ex-wife's divorce and has put the women on the back burner for now until he met Natasha. Their start is a bit messy and he thinks when they see each other again that she lied about not knowing who he really was. Just when that has been said and you think they can take the time to get to know each other better, his ex shows up again. Can she throw a spanner in the works or will they not be stopped and will they go for each other and will they have a happy ending?

This is an ok single dad, enemies to lovers sports romance. She’s a recent medical school graduate, grew up in foster care, wants to work in an ER, but her young age is holding her back, so she takes a job at the Seahawks training camp. He’s an NFL star, a wide receiver for the team and a single dad, a bitter man after his gold digger ex-wife. They met in a bar, had a hot hook up, two months later they meet again in training camp. Natasha has decided to go out with her friends. What she doesn't expect is the hot guy who she leaves with.
So when she shows up for her new job with the Seattle Seahawks medical team, she get a huge surprise. Only he thinks she knew who he was when she really didn't. He starts to be irritating until she finds out that she is with child, his.
Can they find a way to be together and love each other forever? Loved their story.

I love all things baby, so Nat and Matt's surprise baby story is simply precious. I don't understand, though, why he felt the need to continue using condoms after Nat was pregnant. She couldn't get pregnant again...? The book as a whole needs at least one more good edit: there are enough errors to be distracting. I was able to enjoy the story, but it would be even better if some of the errors could be cleared up.
My Secret Baby for the Wide Receiver was a great read, I was able to form an instant connection to both Matt and Natasha. They meet in a bar only looking for a one-night stand, however it that night left a surprise for them both. They have a love/hate relationship that makes following them on their journey to HEA worth it.

Olivia Pearl has done a 5 star job with Matt & Natasha's story. What was supposed to be a one night stand with no strings attached turns out to be anything but. She's fiercely independent & he's a grumpy single dad. There's no denying the intense chemistry between them but will all that be shattered by a few misplaced words?

Natasha and Matt have a one night stand which results in a small surprise. However, when she starts a new job she did not expect to bump into him. The story and their chemistry is full of heat and emotions. What a fun read!.

For me, this story falls short of my expectations from the blurb. The two main characters were difficult for me to connect with and were argumentative and nasty to each other for most of the book.
I can suspend reality, but when someone completes medical school they go through a residency program.
Stories featuring former foster children seem to be in fashion lately. The circumstances in this story are so very unlikely that it is easy to suspend disbelief. Both Matt and Natasha are appealing characters. You are rooting for a happily ever after right from the beginning.
Arc review I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review. You get it all in this story a one night stand ,A misunderstanding, heartache and more but their chemistry between these two characters is beautiful.
I did enjoy this book but I really felt like I needed more context. It was as I read the outline and all of the juicy details were left out. Still a fan of Olivia Pearl!! This was cute quick read
I’ve read several of Olivia Pearl’s books and I think this is one of her best. It was quick and enjoyable. At one point I wanted to reach into the book and punch Matt in the face. So I just closed it so I wouldn’t break my kindle 🤣
A one night stand turns into an awkward work situation that is made worse when they discover that a single night has resulted in a surprise pregnancy. Well written and not typical with a unique perspective of a team doctor being the pregnant one night stand.
Great story! Not all rainbows and roses because of course if there is a rainbow there's a witch! Characters are easy to place in your non fictional life and enjoyed getting to know a hunky wide receiver is icing on the cake!
The book was interesting and slow moving at first, but then it wrapped up too quickly. The ending felt rushed. The female main character stood for her beliefs in the beginning and then at the end she did not.
A good read that follows the life of a football star who didn’t have a good first marriage - maybe he learns from that and has his happy ever after with Natasha?
Some mistakes, and sentences that didn’t make sense. Story was short so a lot of the story wasn’t long and descriptive. Still worked just not my type of read.
