Misono is an office drone with his own ups and downs at work, but thankfully he has an ally–his senpai Shizuka, who happens to be a witch. Shizuka is always ready to lend a hand to those in need, but Misono thinks she should take better care of herself, since zipping around on a broomstick to run errands can be quite stressful. Is Misono’s overprotective concern for Shizuka driven by mere respect for this flustered witch, or could it be more? Let this magical romantic comedy cast its spell on you!
So happy the series is continuing. This was super cute and full of slice of life moments. At time it felt like too much was being crammed in but by the end I had a good time. I can't wait for the next vol.
Shizuka and Misono have come a long way, basically back from the dead as far as their series goes. As life and love continue, we get to enjoy more of them enjoying their lives together. And more and more and more and more.
This was an unexpected little surprise; we don’t often see many manga that end and then get to keep on trucking later with a third volume (and an incoming fourth, at least). It’s nice to see something somebody enjoyed creating so much that they just kept going and it got published.
And that first section is adorable, as Misono and Shizuka attend a festival together and people are calling out Shizuka for being so plain and Misono for being too attractive for her and all the affirmations and cute stuff you’re wanting from this. It’s fantastic.
Next story, featuring Shizuka’s propensity to teleport when she thinks of Misono leading to a very late night rendezvous, chaste before you start getting ideas, is also terribly satisfying and really affirms the decision to give us more of these two.
Which is why it’s a damn shame that by the end of this volume I was pretty much sick to death of all this. Oh, it’s okay enough, but there’s a real problem here and I don’t remember it being so prominent before.
Basically, Misono is deadly boring yet seems to be the focus of the series. You have a witch with self-confidence issues and this meat slab, who are we going to focus on? The wrong one, apparently. He barely even smiles the whole time.
And these storylines are such a drag after the first couple. Meeting the parents, getting sick, jealousy moments that should have been way earlier in the relationship, and ending on meeting the other parents.
Occasionally it hits a bright spot, but even then. The pajamas that Shizuka picks out should be grounds for hilarity, but mostly it’s Misono moaning internally about how different they are and not speaking his mind before a relatively okay and.
There’s a thin margin of error between cool and detached and Misono trades in the latter way more than the former. And Shizuka being a witch should really be more front and center. Outside of teleporting and riding a broomstick, which is not new, she does precious little with her powers.
Then again, the small bits about planning for their cohabitation are decent enough and the story about Misono and Shizuka’s familiar spending the day together is a lot of fun.
There’s just something about this that filled my appetite for further stories up and filled it up way faster than I was expecting. This one is definitely a ‘me thing’, but it feels like it doesn’t have anything interesting to say. Plus parts of it like the jealousy and the basketball team feel like a high school manga, not two working adults.
I don’t know, maybe I was just having a bad day. But I sat on this one for a while and re-read it and I still think it front loads itself with what I wanted and then spills off into something I was entirely less satisfied with afterwards. Maybe I’ll revisit it in a couple years and see it differently.
3.5 stars - extra for the first two stories, but I have never seen my excitement for something to come back evaporate so fast and so much that I’m not sure I’ll be returning for the next volume.
Be still my heart, this volume lived up to the enjoyment of the previous two volumes, which I've read well over 6 times now!! Eeeepp!
This volume kicked off BEFORE our leads got married (which I didn't realize initially) and super enjoyed getting more glimpses into their dating life! While it's not unusual to see two leads dating and seeing their dates, I felt this volume was wonderful purely because how much it was fleshed out of their everyday life. It wasn't simply just dates, but just being together, which is why I think I enjoyed this volume so much especially. I loved seeing the brief moments where jealousy hit our leads' hearts, finding hobbies together, and just how much thought and care went into moving in together. Plus, we met Dad!! YAY!
Someone who read this before me mentioned that the art had a "leveling up," and I totally agree! I already deeply loved the art before now, but everything now feels cleaner and smoother with more whimsy. Our leads looked even more wonderful!
Honestly, this was the perfect follow-up in this series and I'm SO excited to know there will be a volume four!! SQUEALS! That ending was quite the cliffhanger! LOL!
If you've read and loved the first two volumes, do yourself a favor and read this ASAP! It's amazing and I would highly recommend it! Can't wait to reread it all over again!
Cute, but I don't have any desire to continue the series. You can tell it was meant to be 2 volumes, got popular enough for more, and then backtracked to fill in more of their early relationship. Either way, I'm done with their story.
This was so sweet! I enjoyed the pacing of this a lot more.
In this volume, we get to follow Shizuka and Naoto as they go on dates and make concrete plans to move in together, and it just felt so nice to read about 💖
It’s definitely not an amazing series, by any means, but it’s cozy and sweet. It’s the nice change of pace I need in my reading right now.
I look forward to reading more about them, and especially learning more about Naoto’s family…since at this point we’ve meant Shizuka’s mom, dad, and brother! It’s about time we learn about why Naoto is so reserved about his parents!
I did not think this series could get any cuter, but it actually does....they are SO good together!! if I had two small nitpicks, it would be that shizuka prioritizes work a bit too much, and also there is not nearly enough of a focus on her witch powers....still, this is such an adorable relationship, and misono especially is just perfect.

I'm glad the author was able to add more to story! This is such a cute slice of life and I was kind of sad how quick the second one was. I'm excited to see what happens in the fourth volume!
When I read the first volume I was instantly hooked. The whimsy. The charm. The great characters and continued growth of the protagonist. So I'm totally stoked that there's going to be a volume 4!!!! Keep em coming. Can't get enough of this couple and their world.
More of a 3.5 star rating; As much as I still really like this series some of the way things transitioned from one event to another were a bit confusing and, that happened often in this particular volume. I used to be a bit concerned at how selfless Misono is being in terms of doing things for Hoshino’s sake, but I really liked that this volume showed a few different moments of him being selfish and acting jealous when it comes to Hoshino. Something else I really enjoyed was seeing Hoshino hanging out with Misono’s friend group, and then later on Misono’s interaction with Hoshino’s father. It’s just adorable seeing the couple mixing their other relationships and friendships together and further solidifying their connection in that sense. Although, with the rather awkward (semi-)introduction to Misono’s mother, I’m extremely curious to see what’ll happen next with Hoshino and Misono in future volumes. Oh, additionally, I genuinely want to see more of Komachi now that the adorable couple is living together; that Iguana is precious and deserves more showtime in the story.
I thought this series was complete at two volumes, so I was surprised to see another - turns out it was popular, so it was continued! I really love this - they're both so cute, and I loved the iguana too, so cute! I love them navigating the early stages of their relationship, telling people and the added quirks of magic!
