Laura Mowery

Laura Mowery has had her nose in a book since she learned her ABC’s, so it's no surprise that she pursued a career as an author. She grew up obsessed with stories, especially any that included supernatural or otherworldly elements. She also loved to get swept away on romantic adventures. Now she gets to combine the two and write about what she loves; suspense, superpowers, and steamy romance.

Laura lives in San Diego, CA with her husband, two cats and a dog. If she’s not writing, you’ll find her adventuring with her husband, eating tacos, drinking local craft beer, or curled up with a book.

Short, but not so sweet. (Not in a bad way either.) I feel like a lot went into this novella to set up the backstory and I’m excited to jump into the series and meet these characters!

I read this after reading Timberwolf, and it gave me more background on the Infinitium connection and how it all affects the people involved.

I enjoyed John's character in Timberwolf and was glad to see more of his background in this prequel. I hope he stays in the series as a main character,

He's super loyal to his sister, and they have a great relationship.

Reading about his relationship with Mason & Grace was so sad, he missed his chance and had to watch from a distance. I have to say that I do not like Grace at all, it felt like she just kept him dangling throughout the years and I'm so glad the story ended the way it did, she did not deserve him at all.

I'm really enjoying the series and will be continuing so I can find out how all these different parts come together and who might be behind it all.
