This is a great little introduction to pastoral care. It is filled with practical advice and guidance for new and experienced spiritual leaders. It is written primarily to professional church leaders but has a lot of wisdom for lay leaders also like deacons and deaconesses. Each chapter ends with questions that help to process the information and apply it to the readers practice. It is written by a British author so American readers may have a tough time occasionally understanding the wording. This is not an impediment to comprehending the main points.
