Puma Night Stalker

Rate this book
Puma, smart and wild, is a big cat with an intense curiosity. He stalks the nighttime forests and savannas of the Out Side with his crew of proud toms. Working as a team, they take down prey of all sizes, the bigger the better. Puma has a mate, his fem, Ellayne. Ellayne, smart and civilized, is a blond and beautiful, almost human, hominid. She heads a research team of beautiful blond hominids at the Laboratory on the In Side. Puma provides her with what she needs to be strong, intelligent and active. She provides him with what he wants and needs, sex, more sex and sweet caresses. Ellayne can't digest meat or other animal products. She gets her protein from the creamy, rich ejaculate that Puma provides. She absorbs this through her vagina. For Ellayne, her relationship with Puma has a serious flaw, a lack of communication. Most of the fems feel the same way about their feline mates. The toms can't vocalize hominid speech and the fems can't reproduce the toms' sophisticated communication techniques. The communication between feline and hominid is limited to expressing simple thoughts and wants. Ellayne's research team is attempting to develop techniques for sophisticated communication between the two species. One possibility is to modify the toms' physiology so that they can vocalize like hominids. This could lead to undesirable side effects. Another possibility is to develop an electro-mechanical automated translator. This might be a barrier to intimate conversation. For Puma, his relationship with Ellayne is almost perfect. What could be better than hunting at night with your crew and then coming home to sex, caresses and a nice nap. Unfortunately, despite his apparent contentment, Puma's curiosity leads him down a path with irrevocable consequences. His sharp intellect allows him to hack the In Side's Central Computer System. He discovers what Ellayne is in the Laboratory and for various reasons decides to try to stop it. His efforts involve stealth, trickery and ultimately, violence. The fems are up to some tricks of their own. Despite the mores of their society, some fems think sex with toms is unpleasant and unnatural. They seek other, illicit, avenues for love and intimate gratification. Some fems want to rid the known world of toms and their wild and savage practices. Other fems enjoy a variety of intimate relations with both species. All of this results in a tension in society that is serendipitously resolved by the joint and independent actions of Puma and Ellayne.
