I read this book to my 5 year old and she really liked it. She even asked me to read it again a few hours later. All the animals in the Zoo Academy have some special skills or talents. In Mr. Kahn's History Lesson a brother and sister named Jack and Emily learn about Ancient Rome and Italy from some very special zoo animals that live in the Zoo Academy. There is even a fun little quiz at the end to see how much children remember from the story. My daughter only got two out of ten questions right but she is only 5 and I didn't expect her to remember everything the first time reading this book. In the second story Dr. Penelope and Einstein's Global Warning a penguin and a polar bear explain global warming. There's even ideas of things anyone can do to help the planet. At the end of this story there's 5 small and easy experiments to do with your children. In Picasso and Lucy's Colorful World a peacock and a pink flamingo have a little art lesson about colors. They explain the color wheel and how colors are mixed together to make other colors. This was my daughters favorite story out of all three. She couldn't wait to start mixing colors as soon as we were done reading. I thought this book was just a little to advanced for my daughter but she really liked it. This is a very educational fun book for young children.
