I have a new mission in life. Destroy as many demons as I can, as fast as I can, so I don’t have to think about… him. The man who died because of me. Samuel Valentino. Except just when I start enjoying life in Brazil, the Premier of the Paladins drops a bomb.
Samuel isn’t dead.
He’s spent the last nine months in London, training as a Paladin and learning to suppress his demon-half. Oh, and he doesn’t remember a single moment of his previous life—me included.
As if that isn’t enough to send me spiraling, the Premier admits he needs my help. Someone has stolen one of the Order’s most prized a journal of arcane secrets penned by none other than Solomon himself. Whoever took it is trying to bring an ancient evil back to the world, and apparently, I’m the only one who can stop him.
Despite my conscience, I'd like to tell Premier to kick rocks. But it turns out I have a bigger problem. My heart refuses to stay silent, convinced that once Samuel sees me, he'll remember what we shared.
For better or worse, I'm going to London.
Spoiler it's for worse.
Scroll of Secrets is the second book in The White Order Series. Intended for mature readers.
If I thought the first book in this new series held me captive, that had nothing on this second book! Wow! The intensity of emotions, feelings or whatever you want to call them, is unreal. Wellspring continues to keep me enthralled and definitely on my toes, she’s just so unique. So many characters come to play this time as well, so good, some evil. But the one who I was most surprised and excited to hear was alive was Samuel! Without him, Wellspring just existed, she didn’t live. But is he the same Samuel that she came to know and possibly love? This time she finds out so much more about herself, her family, her friends, the demons and the angels. I was never a true lover of paranormal type stories, but this series is absolutely blowing me away. So many times my heart stopped and I wanted to throw my Kindle. I laughed, I cried and I loved everything about this. I hope that the next book comes out soon because I need to know what happens like I need to breath air. A brilliant story that will keep you on the edge of your seat. A definitely 10 star plus, plus read!
I am obsessed with this new series! It pulls you in from page one and just keeps holding on. In this second book in the series, nothing is as simple as it seems. Evelyn finds herself questioning all the things she thinks she knows, and struggles with the reality of finding out Samuel is alive-but doesn’t remember her at all. After all they’ve been through, her heart refuses to let go. She agrees to help the Premier she doesn’t like just to see Samuel again, hoping it will jog his memory. The ending of this book was phenomenal!! I did not see any part of that coming!! I was shocked, and then shocked again! This book will seriously knock your socks off, I don’t think I’ve ever read a book like this before. Highly recommend!
Book 2 in the series comes with as many surprises, and just as much action as Book 1. Looking forward to the next book in the series and finding out how Evelyn navigates her new normal. zloving this series.
