My college hockey player ex cheats on me with my best friend. So I hook up with his heroes who rule the NHL team that rejected him. When my best friend loses her voice because my boyfriend made her — and I quote — “scream so much”, I’m done with dating, not to mention very done with hockey players, and one of the first things I do as a single geology student is sit alone miserable in a bar, drinking a mojito. Enter Sean Campbell, Brady Hayes and Noah Hughes, this year’s giant, sexy NHL finalists, and my night does a complete 180 to the ire of my ex. The Toronto Icy forwards help me forget my troubles and leave me wanting more, so I find myself agreeing to fly down to Chicago with them for their final game. It’s nothing serious because in this house, we don’t let hockey players in anymore, let alone popular NHL players who have women constantly throwing themselves at them. But I melt like butter with each look that burns, with each kiss they give and I know I’m risking having three more cracks in my heart the more I let them call me their wonder…
This took insta-love to the extreme, and honestly that's not always a bad thing, but in this book it made the plot disappear. Everything just moved too fast with little to no reasoning behind things and it all felt very over the top. I think the story itself was decent and it could have been really interesting but for me it wasn't fleshed out enough and not enough detail went into the character. I honestly would have said this book was no more than 60 pages if I hadn't looked at Amazon first because everything moved so fast. Bottom line, it was okay but not for me.
I hate being “that person.” You know, the one who DNFed a book in less than 20 pages. I saw this book on TikTok - the author shared an excerpt, a paraphrase. It was enough to hook me. This writing is sloppy. It shifts tenses. Ava rambles and references things as though we should know them. The triad of men are so…unbelievable that it’s jarring. As soon as the line: “I wonder if we’ll find someone tonight now that we put that out in the universe” was the end for me. I’m like, clearly there will be no plot and no real storytelling. Sorry. I wanted to like it and certainly wanted to get further than 20 pages.
I love reading some light romance! And this one was pretty okay.
Ava I felt so bad for her she was thinking she had a good boyfriend and finds out he's been cheating on her with her best friend. She does cry over the relationship and the betrayal. And meets Hockey players Sean, Noah, and Brady when they go out to the bar. There is a spark between all of them, and the guys don't back down they have their first date at an amusement park. It was so cute and fun watching them bond they did have some fans and fangirls who Ava got jealous because she feels the guys would act like hockey players and ditch her. So she does take a step back, putting her guard up. That doesn't stop them they are obessed over her.
They take that step, and she's with them they do have another hiccup, the ex who is a fan of theirs, so they ignore him. The only other drama is ava and her thoughts. Now my problem is I wish there were more group scenes. I loved the one on one's, but I wish they were more group scenes.
Om drama/No ow drama (ex finance and fangirls nothing serious), no cheating, slight secondary character, drama, sexy times, no virgins

This book reads like a bad fanfiction. There is zero character development and I am glad it was so short because I definitely wouldn’t have been able to stand anything longer
I really wanted to like it but I couldn’t. I liked the idea of the story but it needs so much work. Everything was rushed. There was no character development, no world building, the spicy scenes were also rushed.
I feel like the author was trying to get a book out but didn’t take the time to edit or anything because this feels like a first draft.
I always feel bad with a bad review but I honestly want this author to get an editor so her writing can be the best because a lot of her books sound like they could be good.
This was an adorable palette cleaner book to help me get through a couple of other books that left me drained. Was is cheesy? Yes. Was it realistic? No, absolutely not. Did I still love it? Yes, of course.
If you're looking for a short, cute insta-love, why choose book with no third act breakup and little to no drama of any kind, this is the book for you.
I’m sorry. I really am but this was really really bad. It felt like a piece of homework done by a teenager. It’s hard to write a good short story, even harder a short why choose. And sadly this really didn’t work.
This quick why choose romance is like a regular story on fast forward. All of the characters are instantly likeable. It's RH, istalove and lust, with 3 sexy hockey players saving her from a cheating ex boyfriend. Definitely worth the quick read, it made me smile
This book is the epitome of the sound on TikTok that says “it’s so bad I want to give it a zero but since I can’t I’m going to give it a one”. I honestly don’t have anything else to say.
2.75 Ok, hard truths here. I feel like if you are going to write a book that by its nature is short, sweet, with little depth, you need to go in for those tropey moments that in any other book might be ridiculous. For instance, this book highlighted a scene on tick tock of her running into her cheating ex and then making him jealous with guys that he had always idolized. In reality, this was actually only a couple sentences in the book and did not give the reader (this reader) any sort of jealousy vibes or revenge satisfaction whatsoever. Then the end was just bizarre. I was left wondering if I had missed a section because there was no follow through to certain thoughts and actions creating plot holes in the final stretch.
I fully commend anyone who is brave enough to write a book and put themselves out there to be critiqued. This one just wasn't for me unfortunately.
The book contains a good premise, insta-love, fast burn, it’s fun and flirty which is great in a romance-genre read. But, it doesn’t feel fleshed-out enough. And it really does read like a first draft, if it could be expanded upon it could turn into a great story. But for now, just not for me, I couldn’t even finish the book.
WASTE OF TIME. it’s giving no chemistry really no plot at all chile. it’s giving that it’s not lasting long-cute fling in college like. IM NOT JUST HERE FOR SMUT ALSO ROMANCE WTFFFF. Three mothafockin men in this book and naannnn one of them do anything romantic. also, 108 PAGES!?! based over the course of like three days!?!? what the actual fkkkk. i’m disappointed. this book is only good if you wanted smut w three guys but it’s only like three scenes.
I really enjoyed this book, it was short, cute, and had insta love vibes. I fully believe that if this book was longer, it would have been a five star read for me. I really liked the characters, and how everyone’s personality’s mixed so well together. 🫶🏻
3.5 stars Super short little palette cleanser of a why choose hockey romance. Not the best I’ve read but loved some of the smaller elements to the plot.
