This was my first book by SB Alexander and I'll definitely be reading her again! I thought it had a great storyline that moved quickly and had a bit of suspense which I enjoy. Also LOVED the heroine. Love that she was strong, both physically and mentally and loved that the MMC appreciated it. I thought the dialogue was a bit .. sugary at times, but nothing too over the top. I was happy to see the ending play out the way it did and thought it was perfect for their story. The LE FMC with a criminal MMC is one of my favorite tropes and Hart of Redemption totally didn't disappoint.

I’ve really enjoyed The Hart Series, but I have to say that Duke’s story, Hart of Redemption, was definitely my favorite!!
Duke was so caught up in a web of illegal business that it was tricky trying to find his way out. His past with his siblings was a hard life and Duke became the protector and caregiver, bringing up his two brothers and his sister. He loved them with everything he had and would give up everything for them.
Fallyn is a federal agent who goes under cover to bring in Duke and the lethal cartel member he’s working for. But Fallyn ends up seeing a side of Duke that she didn’t expect. They worm their way into each other’s hearts, and now Fallyn is caught up in a battle of the heart.
I freaking loved this!!! Though it’s part of the Hart series, it is a standalone story, although if you read it first then you’re going to end up wanting to go back and read the first two!! Trust me, it’s worth it!! I can’t wait for the next book!!! If you enjoy Romantic Suspense stories, you will love this so much!!!

This is the first book by this author that I have had the pleasure to read, but it definitely won’t be the last. In this book, Fallyn Williams is a federal agent who goes undercover as Joy Whitlock to investigate and gather the evidence to bring Duke Hart and the Colombian Cartel he deals with down. Well, that’s the plan anyway.
I really liked Fallyn, but then again, I also enjoyed Duke too. I thought they were ideal together, as did his family. The whole situation of federal agent and criminal together is rife with problems from the get-go. I was so intrigued by how their relationship could be salvaged… if it could at all. The way the author wrote their ending was terrific; it was a lot more realistic and acceptable than a fairy tale one.
The suspense in the story was a good element where gradually we learned more about what happened and why. With the suspense building up, we experienced all of the emotions the characters went through. This whole section, probably the last twenty to twenty-five percent of the story, was excellent and the reason for the extra half a star.

This is book three in The Hart series and it is Duke and Fallon’s story and omg it is definitely a must read. Duke has built a massive empire in Boston but now he wants to walk from it all and go legal and then something happens that keeps him tied to this life at the moment because his family means everything to him and he would do anything to keep them safe regardless of what he has to do or the situation and outcome to himself. Fallon is a federal agent and is now working undercover to find the information that she needs to bring down Duke and the dangerous cartel that he is involved in but she knows that it is not going to be easy and will also be dangerous if she is found out. Fallon’s father is a retired FBI director and her brother Jason was a FBI agent who was killed while undercover and Fallon was determined to try and find evidence and the truth of what exactly happened to her brother and bring that person to justice as well as Duke and the cartel regardless of what she will have to do and she will not fail what ever consequences she had to deal with. When Fallon and Duke meet for the first time there attraction, chemistry and connection is instant and strong but working together is taking it’s toll on both of them especially with all the secrets between them things are getting even harder and more complicated. When Fallyn and Duke come together they agree that it will only be one night but sparks fly and they are absolutely explosive but then things take a twisted and dangerous course putting everyone in a extremely bad situation but will they all get out alive and what will the future hold for Fallyn and Duke in the end. Wow I have been waiting patiently for Duke’s story and Susan Alexander definitely didn’t disappoint her readers. This book takes you on a rollercoaster ride of emotions that will have you in tears but still unable to put this book down because it is so addictive. The twists and turns keep coming at a break neck speed and it will have you on the edge of your seat while holding your breath and it will also have you turning the pages to see what would happen next and what the outcome will be in the end and I loved the ending so much. Susan Alexander is an amazing author and writer and she certainly knows how to keep her readers engaged and attention throughout the whole book and I can’t wait to read more books in the future.

Ms. Alexander is a new to me author.
But after reading Hart of Redemption. I will mostly definitely read more books by her.
I so enjoyed this book. It’s fast paced, action packed and steamy.
I appreciated that the author kept things moving swiftly.
It kept me engaged in the story and the characters.
Fallyn is awe inspiring. She’s strong and tough. Yet still soft and loving.
Her morals never changed nor drifted. Her integrity is a major part of her personality. So it was great that never changed. Even for the man she was falling in love with.
Duke is a complex character. He’s neither all good nor evil. Just trying to make the best at off the worst possible situation he’s in. Yes the situation was of his making. But sometimes things are just beyond one’s control.
I adored Duke. I loved his loyalty and the love he had for his siblings. His loyalty is beyond measure.
Never throwing anyone under the bus for his benefit.
The chemistry that is between him and Fallyn was off the charts. It’s palpable and uncontrollable.
No matter how either one tried to stay away from the other. It is something that just couldn’t be done.
The intensity of the plot had me on the edge of my seat and at times my heart was in my throat.
The danger and the suspense had my nerves all over the freaking place.
Great writing style by the author delivering maximum effort and emotions.
I could not help but feel for Fallyn and Duke. And all the secondary characters as well.
I’m looking forward to reading more books by her.

Fallyn Williams wants to know the truth behind the death of her brother Jason and when a chance comes up to go undercover for the ATF to find information on Duke Hart she jumps on the opportunity.
Duke Hart is not a great guy and is involved in guns and drugs but he now wants to go legitimate as a way of protecting his family.
When Fallyn starts working as a bartender at Duke's club Monarch, sparks fly but how far undercover is Fallyn willing to go?
When lines begin to get blurred and innocent people's lives are on the line will the truth come out?
This was a good book with some great twists and turns to keep the pages flipping.
Fallyn was a good character who I felt was in over her head at times. At times I found her weak and she led with her heart many times yet in crucial instances she was all ATF agent. She had a good friendship with Gwen who tried to keep her focused on the end result.
Duke was interesting as he really wanted to leave the crime life behind him but he was still stuck in a bad situation. I don't think he really knew what to do as he hated his family getting caught in the middle.
There was so much chemistry between Fallyn and Duke but both were holding so much back due to their respective careers. That being said I was definitely wanting Duke to change his life.
There was still a lot of mystery around Jason and also Mateo and what he had planned to get more power in Boston.

the connection between the hero and heroine felt rather weak, like it's basically sexual attraction over other things. additionally, because there are so many characters in the book, i think the author got confused herself about her characters.
for example, in chapter 23:

Tito growled at Lou. “Shut the fuck up.” Lou didn’t seem fazed by Tito at all.

“The game has changed,” Lou said. “Two of Rosario’s men in prison shanked Tito.”
“Bullshit,” Vince said. Lou wasn’t blowing smoke up our asses. The rage and sorrow on Mateo’s face was clearly evident.
“Is Tito dead?” I wanted to be sure I was reading Mateo correctly.
Mateo’s Adam’s apple bobbed. “Yes, so you tell Rosario if she wants her guns to come and get them herself.”
what exactly is the author writing? first of all, only mateo and lou were the only ones brought to the hero. tito was in prison moreover he's dead, so why is tito growling at lou? i totally got lost for a while thinking i had missed something. like did the book get properly edited?
overall, i wasn't really invested in it, just wanna get over and done with.

This was an enjoyable story overall we loved the characters. This is a first-time author for us and we always enjoy discovering new authors to feed our reading addiction. We would love to go back a read the previous books as Duke's brothers we found fascinating.
We thought the story had the right amount of suspense and action, banter, a feisty undercover agent struggling with her conscience, and criminal elements wanting to get out of the game without ending up dead. Loved the opposites attract going on between characters. We loved seeing Duke fall hard and fast and understood why he was drawn to Joy aka Fallyn as she was funny and even undercover remained true to herself.
We loved the chemistry between Duke & Joy aka Fallyn the back-and-forth between them was quite funny both fighting what they were feeling but, also wanting to do the right thing where each other was concerned.
We enjoyed the characters, especially Duke's family they were always in his corner. The story took you on a journey of twists and turns and had some surprises popping up and some unlikely allies. It was a fun read for sure.

Hart of Redemption is book 3 in this series. There was a long wait between books 2 and 3. I think, mostly due to this time between books, I had a very hard time getting into Hart of Redemption. Although the characters were mostly already developed in previous books, I had a very time recalling who was who and their back stories. That being said, I did finally get into the book about a quarter way through. But after that long of a wait for Duke's book, I was really expecting to be wowed...As always in S.B. Alexander's books, it was extremely well written. Duke and Fallyn were both good characters, who were very conflicted in their actions. Duke had been semi-forced into his profession due to his childhood and needing to be responsible for his younger siblings. Fallyn put her chosen profession on hold in an effort to uncover her brother's murder. While parts of the story were very good, in the end, I felt that the storyline was rushed and I did not like the ending at all. I'm giving this book 3 1/2 stars, and I feel bad doing it, as I am a huge fan of S.B. Alexander's work.

Watch both Fallyn/Duke throw caution to the wind in more ways than one within these pages- in their work, in life, *and* in their "situationship". This exciting, HEA read will take you an one doozy of an emotional adventure! I for one HIGHLY recommend this gem. I couldn't get enough of these characters! Well, hot damn!
I truly had no expectations going into this book. I have not read the previous two books and didn't even read the blurb before reading this. The cover caught my eye and I love Susan's writing, so I just wanted to read it. LOL
Hart of Redemption moves at a fast pace and contains lots of drama and action that will keep readers right at the edge of their seats the entire time. But what truly rocked me was Duke and the love he had for his family. He put them first, no matter what; his loyalty is unmatched.
Duke and Fallyn are both complex characters and watching things explode between them as the story progresses was just another great layer to this fantastic story. Their chemistry is undeniable and that push and pull between because neither wanted to act on their feelings was like adding fuel to an already raging fire. LOVED IT!!!
I could go on and on about this book - it is that damn good. Susan wrote a phenomenal book and I can't wait to read the first two.

There was so much chemistry between Fallyn and Duke but both were holding so much back due to their respective careers. That being said I was definitely wanting Duke to change his life.
There was still a lot of mystery around Jason and also Mateo and what he had planned to get more power in Boston.
Looking forward to more in this series.

This is the third book in this incredible series, and this is Duke and Fallyn / Joy’s story.
Duke has built a successful empire in the seedy underworld, while Fallyn is an FBI agent who is undercover as “Joy,” to bring Duke and his cartel members in. Fallyn was not prepared for Duke to worm his way into her heart, but do they have a future together?
This is a well written story which is action packed, with family, friendships, enemies / lovers, emotions, bad boy / good girl, danger, suspense, intrigue, undeniable chemistry, romance, opposites attract, and love, which leads to an entertaining, unpredictable, and steamy addictive page turner.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

Easy quick read
I haven’t read the previous books bcs this one was for free and you don’t have to read those onces but you will read lots of small spoilers in this one. I liked this book very much, it was fast paced with immedate chemistry between main MCs but their romance was slow burn. I very appreciated how honest their were about their feelings eventhough their line of work was total opposite. There are some plottwists but nithing major and you can presict easily that they will be defeated and book focuses more on Duke’s redemption. I loved the sweet HEA and that Duke found his calmness. To sum up it was easy read with slightlyndifferent approach to mafia topic. I am nit dissapointed 😊

I have listened to a couple of S.B. Alexander's books in another series, but this is the first book I've read. I didn't want to put it down. I became completely invested in the storyline and characters. It warmed my heart how much love Duke had for his family. The way he put them first, becoming an outsider in the attempt to keep them safe, showed his positive character traits, even as an antihero. Fallyn was determined to do her job and find out what truly happened to her brother. Duke and Fallyn went through a lot to get their HEA. I really want to go back and read the first two books in this series.

I have a few words to describe this book: intense, thrilling, action-packed, and suspenseful. In a world where he falls first and she fights the attraction but eventually gives in, Duke Hart and Fallyn Williams are just what I needed. The criminal and the undercover law enforcement agent, instant flames burning them both, neither wanting the complication. The pages were turning so fast as I read that they should have caught fire, plus the heat during all interactions between the two main characters was smoldering. Never have two people fought so hard against falling in love and failed so beautifully. This book was worth every second I spent curled up reading.

I’m a big fan of the author and love that this series also makes reference to the Maxwell family (another series well worth reading).

Fallyn is an agent with the ATF and is desperate to uncover the truth about her brother’s death. Her decision to go undercover to befriend Duke’s family and friends leaves her conflicted and possibly in love but can two people on either side of the law be together?
I promise, if you’re looking for romance and suspense, this is a fab read!

It’s been a while since I read a book by S.B. Alexander. After reading this one, I realized I missed her action-filled romances. Duke is caught up in a life that he’s having trouble escaping from. He’s working with a cartel that is caught up in running guns. When a shipment is hijacked, Fallyn, a federal agent, goes undercover to try to get Duke arrested. In the process, she loses her heart to him and their chemistry explodes.
I had difficulty putting down this book once I got into it. There was a lot of action and excitement as well as passion. A well-written story that leaves you wanting more of the Hart family.

I just loved the books that came in the series before this and thought it would have been hard to like this one more, but S.B. Alexander pulled out al the stops and created a storyline that the reader will not be able to put down. From the opening pages, Duke and Fallyn/Joy have chemistry that just leaps off the pages. Intertwine that with a heart stopping plot of murder and mayhem and you have an ending to a series that could not have ben better. This series should be made into a movie - yes - it was that good.

Of the Hart brothers Duke is the only one still in the criminal world. Though he is planning to leave and start over there are a few things to take care of first. The Feds have no idea of his plan when Fallyn goes undercover for answers. Even though we can assume where the story is moving between this couple their plan is a bit unique. And then his brothers and sister are integrated into his life and it’s a treat to get updates on their lives. There was great chemistry, intense storyline and action for the adventurous. I read an early copy and wrote this review voluntarily.

I love SB's books and am glad she is writing contemporary romances again. Fallyn is a federal agent and is undercover trying to bring down Duke Hart. This story has links to a Columbian cartel. This is Fallyn's first undercover job and when she falls for a criminal, will she bring him to justice? I loved Duke's character and how much he loved his family. I am looking forward to the next story.

This is book 3 but I haven’t read the previous books.
Fallyn and Duke’s story can be read as a standalone. These are not perfect characters. Both have cracks that the other fills. There is a lot of angst and drama to keep you emotionally invested. Fast past with plenty of steam.

I freaking LOVED this book!?! S. B. Alexander hit the bull's eye with Hart of Redemption. The characters and their interactions were interesting, relatable, lovable and steamy. I loved the fact that both Duke and Fallyn owned who they were; Duke on the wrong side of the law and Fallyn an ATF agent. I honestly could not figure out how the story could possibly end with their HEA. But she blew this out of the park. Let me just say this again: I FREAKING LOVED THIS BOOK!!!

I loved this story. I haven't read any of the other books yet (but plan to) and I wasn't lost or confused, so definitely a good standalone. I loved seeing the protector in Duke. The poor guy had an awful childhood and stepped up to take care of his siblings. My heart broke for him. Fallyn has been through heartbreak in her life too and I loved how they made each other whole. My heart raced a few times, and I couldn't put the story down. So good!

Absolutley loved this read. I have read a few books by S.B.Alexander and have fully enjoyed each and everyone of them and this was no different. I was invested un the characters and storyline from the first page. I loved that duke loved his family as much as he did you could see it written into the pages. Loved Duke and Joy /Fallen relationship through the book. They are made for each other youncan see that from the first page. They work really well together. Great book.

Duke Hart is trying to get out of the business and go legit. The problem is that there are other factions trying to set him up. All this while ATF Agent Fallyn Williams is trying to prove herself while trying to find out what really happened to her brother. When she is actually given the undercover assignment to infiltrate Duke’s organization, she tries to keep from losing herself to the assignment.

I throughly enjoyed reading Hart of Redemption! I missed the Hart family, it’s been a long time since the last two books. I loved this storyline, the characters and just everything. The chemistry between Duke and Fallyn was off the charts. I was hooked from the beginning and had to keep reading! I can’t wait for the next book in the series! I highly recommend these book and the series!
