Peter Robinson is a British music journalist. He is the creator of the pop music-based blog Popjustice. Recently, he has been hired to create the new Channel 4 music website along with the anonymous author of blog "Holy Moly". Robinson first came to the attention of music fans with his self-published biography/fanzine of The KLF, Justified and Ancient History. He is also the author of three other books: "The Official Story" and "On Tour" for UK pop band Busted, and also the author of the tie-in book to UK reality TV show Popstars: The Rivals.

His tongue-in-cheek writing harks back to the style of '80s magazines like Smash Hits, and often features running gags. His NME column Peter Robinson Versus..., in which he conducts a page-long interview over the phone, is a favourite among NME fans for its irreverent tone and non-sequitur topics, still going strong after 5 years. Perhaps because of his familiarity with the pop music scene, it features more mainstream pop and hip-hop artists than the rest of the indie-oriented magazine.

In November 2006 he won a Record of the Day PR & Music Journalism Award in the Breaking Music: Writer Of The Year category. Popjustice won in the Best Online Music Publication category.

I have to admit, I don't read a lot of story/picture books and I find a lot of them babyish. However, as with everything, there's an exception to this rule. I've found a lot of great story books, and this is one of them.

"A Boy Called Robbie" is part of the Popjustice Idols biographical series. You can describe the series as between the Mr. Men/Little Miss series bred with pop stars. The result? Utter hilarity!

A Boy Called Robbie can be seen as an incredibly short review of Robbie Williams' career, from being a member of Take That to Live Aid. Or, you can see it as an amazingly funny review of his career, complete with great caricatures and jokes. However you see it, A Boy Called Robbie is a great, short book, ideal for a short laugh anywhere and any time you like it!
