I liked the book but it was not a great work of literature by any means. The Kindle edition had some odd errors in it like double words on occasion. It is a story of a young man going off to the front during World War I. The description of life in the trenches was enlightening and horrible. The transition from the beginning to the man's reminiscenses was rough. I would recommend this book if you want to learn more about the time in history.
