Cheri is a friend I met at Color Street conference in Phoenix, AZ in 2022. It was a joy to see her in SLC in 2023 again, and I was so excited for her journey as an author. Her memoir is beautifully written and an uplifting story on making the most of life when things are challenging, while still talking about the struggles she’s endured before she figured out how to ‘pivot’. Would recommend to anyone looking to read an inspiring memoir 🧡

No matter where you are in your life- this book speaks to your heart

This book was recommended by a friend. Honestly I got it because the author was from the area I live in and I wanted to support local talent….

I was an avid reader till I lost my mom in June 2023. Nothing I picked up held my attention. Even books to help with loss. This is what my mom and I shared was a love of reading….

I started reading this book and it just spoke to me on so many levels.. the way Cheri talks about her personal life struggles. Her realness about it all… and even though mine weren’t like hers it helped me work thru some of the feelings I am having….

Highly recommend this book to those who are struggling and want to see someone who was dealt a bad hand and how she “pivoted” and saw it with positive outlooks and carried herself with grace.

A powerful reminder of how perspective changes everything

This was a random read that turned out to be a wonderful reminder of how much power lies in perspective. Cheri has been dealt some incredibly tough blows and yet meets them with honesty, grace, and gratitude. She’s refreshingly open about her journey through what could have set others asunder, finding meaning and strength in every pivot. Her story is proof that courage and love can transform even life’s hardest moments into lessons in peace.

Cheri is a childhood friend of mine. This is a powerful testimony on overcoming hurdles in life. This book speaks life, truth, intimacy, sadness, happiness, determination, roadblocks, solutions, overcoming, and victory. All the emotions are there and real. Cheri has a way with words and I enjoyed every one of them!
