Alistair Caddell is a young, established novelist and university student who is accused of murder shortly after the release of his third novel: “If the Nightingale Sleeps.”

Bribed with the lifestyle he's always dreamt of and pursued by an unexplainable paranormal force, Ellis races against the clock of justice in an attempt to clear Alistair’s name by finding out what happened in 1993. But as their relationship bleeds into dangerous territory and both men are forced to make questionable decisions, Ellis and Alistair must take accountability for their past sins, and face the dark truths they've been hiding from one another since their separation many years ago.
