Harvey puts you in Drivers seat and then Diving underwater!

A ride and dive in the same book….. and I felt like I was there! Nicholas Harvey does an excellent job describing places, sights, situations and feel that in this latest book with Formula 1 action you feel the turn by turn excitement. Then he flips a switch and has you in a deep 200 foot dive. Dropping down in three minutes and then he takes you through long process of adjusting body back to surface. This while weaving an exciting race and diving story that comes together with stolen diamonds and international intrigue. Another good AJ Bailey book keeping so entertaining that cannot possibly put down until the end. I must admit I was not enamored with methodology of reading the extra chapter but doesn’t deduct star. Recommended ….. Five ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Star
Thank you for looking at the Review that I hope you find Informative and HELPFUL! 😃

Nicholas Harvey is one of my favorite authors, among the novelists that I read. And the A.J. Bailey Adventure series, is one of the series that I have read from the beginning, and look forward to each new offering.
Lighthouse Point was a bit of a surprize, as the author ventured in to the world of Formula One racing, during the 1970 season. Of course, the central there was around A.J and Reg, strapping on their rig, and blowing bubbles, in the Caribbean.
My first college, Physical Education class, was a PADI scuba diving class. I dove that Puget Sound, Hood Canal, and Discovery Bay, numerous times, however I left for a college in Kansas, then Kansas City, Mo, and never was able to get back into diving. But, as a kid I was raised on a steady diet of Sea Hunt, and Lloyd Bridges was my idol, so I still love to read about the sport, as well as diving as work. This series brings sense of satisfaction, to my hunger, like a great meal does.

In this 15th book of the AJ Bailey series, AJ and Reg are off to Bonaire for some tech diving. Hired by a bloke they know little about, things seem quite secretive…until AJ discovers something on a wreck 210 feet below the surface, and the truth starts revealing itself.

How Harvey is able to weave a story of diamonds, race cars, and tech diving is mind blowing. I learned a lot about Formula One racing, while still enjoying the underwater world of Bonaire.

Special thanks to Nicholas Harvey for the advanced copy of the book in exchange for an honest review! These books are so good…I don’t think I’ve ever stuck to a series for all 15 books!

This book had my attention from the first page and with each page I turned, I was more and more intrigued. A young man’s dream was coming true as he was slowly making a name in the racing world, and one man’s life’s business was robbed from him. When history becomes the business of today. When AJ and Reg are hired to go on a dive of a sunken barge, they have questions and are not getting the answers they want…but when the answers start coming , they realize that it may be to late, and they could become history. This is the first book by Nicholas that I have read , but it definitely won’t be my last.

Fast Paced and Fascinating

Nicholas Harvey has woven two of my favorite sports into one remarkably thrilling story. Since my single digit years I have been enthralled by motor sports and anything having to do with the oceans of our world. So I was delighted to read Lighthouse Point book 15 in the AJ Bailey Adventure Series. Mr. Harvey blends fact and fiction so seamlessly that reading this story felt as though I were having a virtual experience.
I've enjoyed every book in the AJ Bailey Adventure Series and Lighthouse Point is definitely my favorite!

Left hanging on both threads...

I have been a fan of the AJ Bailey series since book one. However, this particular book jumped all over the place and never wrapped up either thread. With the amount of print spent on the race tracks of Europe as opposed to the waters of Bonaire, this seemed more like a racing novel than an AJ Bailey plot. And in order to receive the "bonus" chapter, which I assume would clarify both conclusions, I need to subscribe to a newsletter? No, thank you. I regret this will probably be my last AJ Bailey read.

Wow!

Loved the story even though I didn't quite understand all the car jargon! The book was exciting and moved in leaps and bounds. The descriptions of the races from Miles' view were breath grabbing. You actually feel as if you're in the car. Highly recommend the read, especially if you love cars and racing!

good mystery

From Diamond heists and Grand Prix racing in the early 70’s, to deep technical salvage diving off the coast on Bonaire in present day, Another grand adventure for AJ and Reg. My only complaint was all the loose ends left hanging with the racing team but that is part of the mystery.

I love your A.J.Bailey and Nora books.
This one I did not enjoy as much as usual because of all the technical Grand Prix pages. I just found it incredably boring, so I read it in fasr forward on my Kindle. But thats just me. I also find it incredably boring to watch on TV. But I'm sure other readers enjoyed it. The ending was rather abrupy as well.

You can tell the author's love for Formula One Grand Prix racing, and salvage diving, he's so excited to tell this story!!! This author is such an incredibly good storyteller; you are hooked hook, line and sinker. Pun intended! The entire series is addictive reading-I love it!!

Excellent Book. Lighthouse Point was a very enjoyable read. Mr. Harvey did an outstanding job of telling two stories and combining them in an easy readable fashion, with a great ending. I truly enjoy all of the A.J. Bailey series and look forward to book 16.

One of the best!

Great read - lots of history I wasn’t up on and thoroughly enjoyed. Add to that some intrigue and lots of suspense and you have Lighthouse Point. You’ll have trouble putting this one down! Enjoy!

Fabulous read. Who can actually sit a read this book without squirming in their seats. The "depths" of this story really captures you and you can't set it down. Learned a lot of the Grand Prix beginnings and fates along with this story. Don't forget to sign up and read the extra story at the end.

The racing descriptions were fantastic! I know as I was a Race Engineer for many years. The drama in the recovery dialog was gripping as always

Really enjoyed this book. Recognized several of the race car drivers’ names. Thought I’d figured out a couple of who’s who but I was wrong. Looking forward to reading more of Nicholas Harvey books.

Lighthouse Point is the 15th in the A.J. Bailey series by Nicholas Harvey. This novel is a bit different from previous diving-centric A.J. Bailey stories because it provides more of a window into the world of Formula One Grand Prix racing in Europe in the 1970s whilst A.J. and her mentor, Reg, are working to solve a mystery on a salvage site on the Dutch Antilles Island of Bonaire. Harvey is a master of weaving historical events with present-time mysteries and thrillers; this book is no exception. You can see the passion Harvey has for both diving (especially technical, deep diving) and motor racing. I loved this book because it was a bit different from previous books in the series and gave a great view into a sport that I know little about. Tie in this history lesson with my favorite characters diving on my favorite island with island favorites to boot . . . Boom! Instant five stars!
Thank you, Nicholas Harvey, for the advanced reader copy and the opportunity to provide feedback!
