The story was engaging through all six books, and I loved it, rolling from one book to the next. Unfortunately, the overuse of "however" really grated on my nerves. It wasn't one specific book in the series, but every book was saturated with the work "however".

This series as a whole gets 2 stars from me. While the idea itself was pretty interesting, the execution was very very poor. With each book I kept telling myself, “maybe this book…”

I read all 6 books in this series hoping for character development, some sort of world building, and faith that maybe… just maybe the first couple books were the author trying to get her footing.

I’m actually confused at the 4 to 5 star ratings. The entire series was not only riddled with plot holes, but I feel like all 6 of these could have just been one whole book.

Taylor as a main character undergoes little to no character development. Honestly, none of the main friend group really shows any sort of major character development whatsoever.

Her relationships with her friends and her love interest are confusing because they constantly describe a side of her that the reader never sees. Not once did I feel any romance between Jesse and Taylor, so his lovesick pinning for her when she left the camp was highly confusing. Taylor also spends most of her time making sarcastic and borderline insulting remarks to her friends and pushing them away so when they all describe her as kind and caring I was trying to figure out where that idea came from because the reader never sees it.

The author also built up a large, terrifying villain that had to be chopped up and sealed away, and whose terror we bit our fingernails in anticipation of for 6 books, only to have him defeated in one chapter?

And Deloris…….. no one ever called, sent an email or messenger pigeon to let her know that they not only found her dad, reunited half her family, and woke the ancient evil but saved the world in 30 min? They left her and never ever mention her ever again?!!

Needs an editor, and then it would get 5 stars. Great plot, grammar and spelling suck.

As a fan of Twilight and Vampire/Werewolves novels when I was in my late teens to mid-20s, reading Morgan Rice's Wish series brings back those memories. In Crave, we read that Isabel aka Jane was kidnapped by the evil side and her blood was about to be used in the ceremony to bring back to life the Demon. However, it was learned that there was a sixth piece hidden - the heart of the demon. Now the ceremony has been put on hold until they can find the sixth piece, this leads to disaster as people are slaughtered and Taylor is accidentally shot by the headmaster and caught by the "evil ones". As the Blood Moon Hybrid, she is lucky as though her blood was used in the demon ritual - it didn't kill her and now the demon isn't as strong as he should be as long as she lives. I did like the part though where Jane's foster parents came back and Taylor's Dad came to rescue them. I also found it interesting that the girls could hear their mum Eloise's voice and I can't wait till we meet her hopefully in later books and learn why she dumped Jane with her friends and disappeared. As we know too is that Taylor's Dad is Vampire which makes their mother a Werewolf. I also loved how Taylor and her friends Quinn, Beth, and Jesse are all direct descendants of the supernatural’s who first managed to conquer the demon and scatter his body parts and so it's now up to this generation to do what their ancestors did, but this time - kill the demon once for all and make sure this time, nobody ever finds it's body parts. If you love YA Supernatural reads that were big in the 90s and early to mid-2000s, then Morgan Rice's Wish series is right up your alley, and even better is that the books aren't too long and are quick easy reads.

A bit sad how the books get more expensive- but you still find so many typo's. Was hoping this would be the last book, but seems there are atleast 2 more. I've never DNF'ed a series before and I will power through but it would've been fine if the series ended here, for me.

I feel like atleast 10% of each book is also recapping what happened in the previous ones. It just feels like a waste of time and it breaks the flow.

With isabel captured by the enemy, and Taylor trading places with her, the story only develops! This is the first book where Taylor basically dies, but then comes back to life. They fight the evil forces after he resurrects. Taylor is able to take his heart, but only stop the bloodlust from taking over thanks to her mom’s voice. I’m really confused who her mom is and why she can only talk to them through their minds. Idk! But love that Kathleen returned to her ppl - the fae.

Isabelle is still annoying lol. It was easy to read and continued to keep me engaged but I felt that the ending was rushed. All of the build up from other books and then it was solved very “easily”. Overall, it was good though!

Fantastic story line. Only downside? The countless amount of spelling and grammatical errors. It’s almost like no one proof-read it 😅 Each new book the author recaps things that happened in previous books as if people would be starting to read the series at book 6, it’s so annoying…

crave by Morgan Rice. It was so good to see the end of Belle Ruth and the bad guys but weekday new baddies will pop up in the next one. My only letdown to this was I felt like the "big battle" was too rushed. I would of liked it drawn out a bit more

This series was quite entertaining to listen to, but I didn't like how the narrator changed mid-series. 😔

An enjoyable read and good continuation of the series where you find out more about the characters and how Taylor fits into the world around her.

More fighting and then...

This series is so full of pain and fighting. But it also is about not giving up. So more about friends never failing to try to help each other!

I was unsure about continuing this series, but the short, quick reads kept me going. Book 6 made a better impact and was more engaging, which renewed my interest in Taylor's story. It added new excitement and depth, making me curious about what happens next. If you like cliche YA paranormal reads, that are reminiscent of early 2000's books of this genre.

Great story but needs further editing

I'm enjoying the plot, characters and setting, however, the editing has been terrible. I've submitted approximately 50+ content errors for spelling mistakes, punctuation and missing words in just this book alone. She's a great writer and I really like the story or I wouldn't keep going, but if I'm going to pay more money for the books later in the series, then I really want it to be well-written.

I was given an ARC of this book and I thoroughly enjoyed it because I liked the fast-paced writing style and how each chapter was a first-person narrative of a different character, which gave depth to the story as a whole. I also liked the plot and how Taylor responded to battles and dilemmas.

The theme of power is strong, especially from the villains and the manipulation of it for selfish reasons, while others tried to control it for more positive reasons.

I liked the idea of magic and how, if wanted, people can work together against evil and how those rooted in evil can never be trusted.

Overall, this was an engaging instalment of an entertaining series.

recommended.
