A string of victims found with the same eerie trademark—fake teeth planted in their mouth. An ex-con FBI agent, unchained, and willing to stop at nothing. And a diabolical killer to match….
Superstar FBI Agent Morgan Cross was at the height of her career when she was framed, wrongly imprisoned, and sent to do 10 hard years in prison. Finally exonerated and set free, Morgan emerges from jail as a changed person—hardened, ruthless, closed off to the world, and unsure how to start again. When the FBI comes knocking, desperately needing Morgan to return and hunt down a killer who seems to be obsessed with drowning, Morgan is torn.
Morgan is not the same person, no longer willing to play by the rules, and will stop at nothing this time. In a non-stop thriller, it will be a deadly cat and mouse chase between a diabolical killer and an ex-con FBI agent who has nothing left to lose—with a new victim’s fate riding on it all.

As always the story in and of itself is good. I like the progression of the relationship between the two main characters. BUT..... again, the editing is horrible. I wonder does this place have any terrain that isn't gravel? Everything is crunching on gravel and everyone's knuckles are white! The extreme repetetiveness of terminologies used in these books is beyond annoying. The author is smart to end each book with a cliff hanger otherwise I would have given up reading them. Seven books in and still so many inexcusable errors it's almost offensive.
I love the Jessie Hint series so thought I’d try the Morgan Cross series. To be honest the writing is amateur at best. Very repetitive and Morgan Cross is a bit annoying. Think I’ll leave this series on the book shelf and look at something new.
