There’s never a dull moment in Premonition Pointe for Marion Matched, full-time midlife matchmaker and part-time bad guy butt-kicker for the local Magical Task Force.
With her boyfriend Jax busy learning how to deal with his own paranormal abilities, Marion focuses down on rebuilding her recently sabotaged business—the matchmaking one, not the butt-kicking. Which means when a new wolf pack moves into town, Marion agrees to help the would-be alpha find his mate. Only Premonition Pointe residents begin to vanish, and everyone in town, including the local law enforcement, blame the new wolves.
Marion isn’t so sure. Now she’s caught between frightened citizens and the pack she thinks is innocent. When her boyfriend Jax turns up on the missing list, it gets personal. Marion will stop at nothing to find him and to take down the person who is terrorizing the people of her beloved town.
Deanna is a native Californian, transplanted to the slower paced lifestyle of southeastern Louisiana. When she isn't writing, she is often goofing off with her husband in New Orleans, playing with her two shih tzu dogs, making glass beads, or out hocking her wares at various bead shows across the country. A good read that parallels our world today. It’s great that Grace and Jax finally found their happiness. Wish I could preorder the next book, but that option no longer seems to be available.
When a wolf pack arrives, Marion wonders whether they will settle here in Premonition Pointe and perhaps generate some new business. Instead, people start disappearing! She has a feeling the new pack isn’t involved in any way. But the pressure is on when matters turn personal and she can’t ignore it. Lacey Riley goes missing and the police arrive with questions for Marion and Jax, hoping to find evidence that will put the blame on Kai Gray, the Alpha of the Diablo Wolf Pack. They question Jax, who had been with Sawyer Davies, the foreman of the construction business, earlier for lunch. The two of them had gone to talk with Kai after their lunch concerning a job he hired them for. But when the police asked about Kai’s “character” when he was in wolf form, Jax asked them to leave and refused to answer further such questions. Warning Jax not to make an enemy of him, Officer Stone glared at Marion as he turned to leave since it was obvious the discussion had ended. It was also obvious the police intended to pin the disappearances on shifters. Will Marion get involved in the investigation to protect Jax, Kai, or one of his pack from being blamed for the disappearance, despite the fact there was no evidence to point at their involvement? Who is responsible for these disappearances? Will she find out before others in her town become victims?
Returning to Premonition Pointe or any worlds that the author creates is always fun. The story follows Marion as she tries to salvage her matchmaking business. This was such an addicting listen! I was hooked from the beach scene with the altercation and what happened next was just jaw dropping. Marion also works with the magical taskforce, so she is quick and on a new case working alongside Charlotte. I was eager to solve the case with the gals, and the ever helpful ghost. Oh, she still cracks me up. This one is wrapped up nicely, and I'm eager to see what happens next in Premonition Pointe. The narrator, Gabra Zachman does a wonderful job portraying Marion, Jax, Charlotte, and many of the other characters in the book. She kept me engaged till the very end. I hope we get more of the alpha next time.
What happens when you mix witches, wolves, small dogs, and ghosts? A fantastic story that sucks you in and keeps you turning the page to the end. I did not see the ending coming as the plot twisted and turned like a roller coaster. So many adjustments were made to my thought process as I read the story. Marion and Charlotte kept me laughing at the sisterly snark (reminded me a lot of my daughters). Then the potential love match in the beginning stages will definitely have me waiting for the next book.
Deanna's books are right between cozy and spicy for the love stories and leave just enough for you to guess the outcomes. Love this series and seeing the Premonition Point Witches from past books still involved in the storyline. A great read!
Book 5 in the series. I love this story. Was so looking forward to Jax story . Wondering when he will be back in Marian life. How will he handle and learn for the new part of his life. Marian accepts it will take time for Jax to lean how he has to lean to control his wolf side . Meanwhile Marian gets 2 unexpected visits to her to find matches for them. One is from Jax best friend ( a wolf ) and a businessman, but he’s getting unexpected issues from his neighbour.
Meanwhile something strange is happening all over town , women ate disappearing left right and center, and the policeman are not interesting to find out why. Everyone should get this and find out how all the facts play in
Gabra Zackman really nailed this story down. , all the characters and towns
Another great story and addition to Premonition Point series. The characters are wonderful and the storyline is amazing.
Marion is a witch and a matchmaker. She can see auras of people to help make the perfect matches. With the help of her sister they run a successful matchmaking business. She also helps the magical task force to help solve missing persons and murders. But when it leads to the new shifters in town she is a little nervous that her boyfriend is involved at least that is what the police are telling her. Marion pulls out all the stops to find out who is responsible for the residents going missing.
The author pulled out all the stops in this story. I was afraid Marion and her boyfriend Jax, wouldn't be getting their happy ending. A great story that I finished in one day. That is usually the way when I am reading a Deanna Chase book. She just knows how to pull her reader in until the story is finished. There are not a lot of authors that can do that for me but whenever a book comes out that Deanna writes I am always there to read it.
Highly recommend this story and series. Not to mention I highly recommend all of Deanna's books.
Marion is back but it’s not for a match. She has her hands full when a woman goes missing and the new wolves in town (including Jax) are the prime suspects.
Love the banter between Marion and her sister. They are such a trip sometimes. They work together to try to clear the wolves. As they get deeper into the case, a few things come to light. Lots of surprises in this book. It’s not the usual of being set around a match she has made which was a fun difference. There was a happy surprise at the end ❤️
We got hints for the next book and I’m looking forward to it. I voluntarily reviewed the book.
Missing the love of her life as he needs to accept the new wolf inside Marion concentrates on her business but soon gets side tracked by the welcome return of Jax and the news of a missing woman. Investigator Marion is back and needs to move fast to save the day as more people vanish and the police aren’t interested.
Another great paranormal Premonition Point romance mystery. Bigotry can also be found amongst sups. A fantastic story that sucks you with romance and twists and turns. Lots of surprises too. Wonderful story and great characters with good laugh out loud banter. The narration was great and brought the story to life! I received a free copy of this audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
Couldn't put it down! Marion has her hands full trying to rebuild her business, find a missing woman, and prove the town's new pack's innocence. This book has it all, humor, suspense, action, and a bit of magic thrown in, as Marion races through town trying to save those she loves. I love how vivid and real this story is, like you’re right in the middle. Gabra does an outstanding job with her narration of the book. Eagerly awaiting Marion's next adventure!
So this book made this reader very happy. So glad Jax came back to Marion. I admit I was angry at the last book when he left to figure out his new werewolf life. But with him coming back and the two of them joining together again, it hit me in the feel good spot. Thank you for writing the book and making the characters so real that the reader gets totally involved emotionally in their lives.
Marion Matched is trying to drum up business for her Premonition Pointe matchmaking company, when a hunky wolf alpha and his pack move into town. At the same time, women start disappearing from town any many of the locals - including the police force - blame the new pack.
I don't want to write any spoilers, but Marion and Jax's relationship is as strong as ever, and this was a fun read if like me, you're already a fan of the Miss Matched Midlife Dating Agency books.
I was so happy when Jax came home - so that made a great start to the book! I enjoyed the sister interaction and the pace of the story kept me engaged. It’s fairly obvious who the villains in the story are but not the motive until the end. There was less coven interaction in this book which I missed a bit. Looking forward to the next book.
I enjoyed reading this book, the storyline is entertaining and the interaction between the characters is great. The story was so true to life about small towns and trouble. I can't wait to read more from this author. I received this book as a Free ARC copy to read and I voluntarily leave this review.
Oh my goodness this book was so good!! I was on the edge of my seat for the entire book waiting to find out what was going to happen next. I’ve enjoyed all the Miss Matched books, but this one was by far my favorite. it was pretty intense for a little while. I wasn’t sure how it was going to turn out, but it turned out just like it needed to. This is such a good series.
Rainmaker Witch Deanna Chase 9/24/24 5 stars Marion
Things always seem to be changing. She's trying to strengthen her business while helping keep the town safe becoming part of the paranormal policing force since her love has his own paranormal dealings to keep him busy.
A new wolf pack has come near town. Are they here to settle or cause friction? She hopes it's the former since he wants help finding a mate through Marion's matchmaking service. With disappearances in town, she'll have to do double duty unless...you'll have to read to find out more.
The author always delivers and this is no exception.
This book was heartbreaking! Definitely a rollar coaster, the twists and turns were intense!!!
You'll quickly get swept into the story as we follow Charolette and Marion through to an ending you will never see coming!!! It's awesome!!! Cant wait for the next book
Premonition Point is such a crazy town with wonderful and devious people in it, just like any town. I love how Marion and Charlotte figure out who is who. I think it is great how we learn a bit more about the characters in each book. So much fun.
A missing woman, discrimination by the police and a magical mystery. Is the new wolves in town to blame? Great mystery with romance, danger and humor. No cliffhanger and hea.
I loved every single word of this book. This one was my favorite so far in this series. The action and the trial I was shocked but anxiously awaiting the end. It was awesome!! I can not wait to get Kai and Autumn book. I have a feeling it is going to hot 🥵
Women go missing, the dating agency is floundering and trouble keeps coming. Jax is back but there are new problems to solve. Love this book, can’t wait for the next one!
A good witchy mystery with Marion and Jax and all the other characters. Will keep you guessing with the twists. A easy good read. Voluntarily reviewed.
This book was a reminder of why I love Deanna Chase so much! Why is it when new people come to town their immediately blamed for bad things that happen? Happens all of the time in real and fictional life. But Kai and his pack have Marion and Jax behind them! I loved seeing Jax back in town and Marion's arms. Overall a great book!
love the humor in all of this authors stories. a well rounded story with great characters and plot. i am voluntarily reading this arc with obligation from the author.
