Breathing Without Oxygen

Rate this book
"Breathing Without Oxygen" is the sister book to "Wilding of this Hagstone Heart". Conceived and published simultaneously, the collections work symbiotically to explore internal and external influences on the poet's life.

"Breathing Without Oxygen" contains 25 poems many of which wrestle with themes of education, family, parenting and connections within society.

The collection reminds us that when it feels like navigating life is overwhelming, there are always connections to get us through even when personal challenges seem as impossible as breathing without oxygen.

Beautiful words to be found in these pages! Gray is so evocative as she shares precious memories and experiences.

I found myself thinking back to schooldays and visiting my grandparents' house.

Stunning use of the English language - words creating images that I'm sure will stay with me for a long time to come. Highly recommend!
